I know Karen's very shy, but there's so much friendship she shared with us. It's extremely hard for me to take this loss as well, and I always wished I could have been around the whole time :(

and now our and i am sure there are others on site but these were our sister lairbears..sighs..i will start on a pet of mine made in their rememberance somehow to honor their presence in my life!!

: The biggest concern for us in the Central Valley of California is the smoke from the fires. The Ferguson Fire is near Yosemite National Park, and that is the closest to us. The Carr fire in the northern state seems to be spreading smoke East. The Massive Mendocino Complex, the largest fire in State history is also in Northern California and cute a distance from us, but it's smoke has polluted us also. The smoke, combined with nearly 40 days of >100 degree F weather has made being outside very unhealthy and has triggered Health Alerts nearly every day.

We traveled to Lodi (near Sacramento) to visit my Author's Brother and it was depressing how much worse the smoke was the more North we traveled.

I listened to a few more of his songs off of a couple albums before that one now I am listening to the band Metal Church song title the same
