- Not sure...I missed most of the news post. The air seemed slightly foggy last night...so maybe that made a difference in how it looked. Was so amazing to see...and we had only just stepped outside...hadn't been outside much before that so glad we didn't miss it. I glanced up and thought WHAT IS THAT haha and my husband knew it was a rocket launch of some sort.

It's a phenomenon called shuttle glow! It's caused by the atmosphere reacting to the passage of the shuttle. Cloud cover, refracted radio waves, and the elemental make-up of that specific portion of the atmosphere combine to cause a variety of different colors.

It would have blown my mind if I saw it in real life.

There was a space shuttle launch that caused glowing spots in the sky as it passed through the atmosphere and into space. Bohicon got to see the glow in real life and KimC and I are just jealous. :)

We had my sister Karen's Memorial Party today. About 50 people attended. It was wonderful. The most moving thing was the video of my sister's pictures we had all gathered up. She was a huge Beatles fan and the background music was all Beatles and ended with The Long and Winding Road. Her favorite. I have the dvd and if I can figure out how to DL it and post it here I will. It brought everyone to tears.

I just wanted to tell y'all again how much I appreciated and needed y'all's support throughout this ordeal and y'all gave it unstintingly. I will never forget and will always be grateful for you Lair Bears. I could not have made it through it all without y'all uplifting me through it. ❤
