A part time job should easily help fill the void until the spring and you'll have a little extra cash! :) Potentially, of course. I'm happy for you.
I was glad to learn my credits are valid. I can concentrate on the field right off. All that's left is to turn in financial information, and I can focus on finding p/t work. Then January 5th, back at it.
That's fantastic! Is your family doing anything for the holiday?
We just had a family dinner, as for the upcoming Christmas, my brother does. But I don't.
Ah, gotcha. I had a Christmas party to go to last night, grandma on my mom's side. It was pretty fun.
Hey everyone :}
Oooh a Christmas party! My holiday experience is completely found here on Subeta... but, I really don't mind so much. Did you get to wear a funny sweater to the party?
Congratulations on enrolling for the Spring. I am nearing up on this Fall semester and looking forward to the Spring, myself. I'll be especially happier when I can rid myself of this accounting course. I hope you enjoy your classes.
Auto tech is going to be. Getting my hands dirty is more so.
We will be doing another dinner around his next home time. He asked for menudo , but I'm not sure if it'll be at his apartment or my house.
No, it was a fancier party, unfortunately! I just wore a dress haha but I'm going to be buying a Christmas sweater here soon, hopefully a Buddy the Elf one!
I've never had menudo, actually. I've wanted to try it but tripe is something that gives me a little bit of pause.
I've never liked the tripe either, but the flavor it gives is good. I usually miss out, on account most serve an almost tripe only pot. I'd have to make it myself to have a bowl my way.
Fancy parties are nice! I have a couple outfits collecting dust... I just know the day I donate them I will be invited to a formal shindig. I am stoked about your sweater choice.
I am so thankful for people, like yourself, that enjoy such work. I can change my spark plugs and oil, but that is about it... and I'd rather pay someone to change my oil since my car requires fully synthetic and it costs exactly the same if I were to do it versus paying someone else. It is definitely an art to work with machines, especially machines like vehicles that we trust ourselves with every day.
Earlier this year, I made a plant based version of menudo that uses dried snow fungus mushrooms as a meat replacement. My tastes have changed a bit since abandoning animal products, but I really feel that I enjoyed it more this time around. I love hominy, give me any reason to use it and I will. One of the perks of living in the South US.
You'd never see me use the "there's a game on" excuse. My only fear is the idle time when dealing with commission based work. But this line ties with my previous experience, and I want to be tired at the end of the day. I better appreciate leisure if I know I earned it.
Maybe there are more people to connect with that require your services, and then you need not worry about any idle time. The beautiful thing about going to school (especially college), in my opinion, is the ability to fill the spaces by seeking specialized knowledge on your own. I really like reading, though, so I always have something to focus on. Do I always? Nah, I'm here right now. I get restless.
restlessness I know well, I could toil for hours and still only be wound up more. Gotta go, crappy battery low.
Talk to ya later.
I suspect it will be at my house, cooking over a wood fire has some kind of effect with just about any food.
My friend has been allowing me to do maintenance on most of his family's vehicles, and a local who is in the field of work has suggested I give a hand with some tasks. Any experience would be well taken.
Sounds exciting. I have no idea what I'm doing for Christmas with my family so I'm just working my way along until the holiday and just let life happen to me lol
A snowball heart...cute.
In spirit of the thread, I've nearly completed the requirements to the Blue Building. But I'll be putting this on hold until I get this college prep straightened.
This is hilarious Who put those there? And without a tree!
Since I I have only had an account for a little over a year, and I didn't play much last Lumi, I am really enjoying all of the activities. I didn't realize when you threw a snowball that it would appear on that user's HA. How fun. I just got into the BB this week, myself, . Hope you can get all settled with your preparations.
I haven't formally celebrated the holiday in ages. When I was younger it kinda bummed me out but now I don't really care. The town I live in is pretty small-ish but they have a lights display in the park and it means I can't go to the grocery after nightfall.............the traffic is abysmal. First world problems, sure, but it sure makes me a grinch hahaha.
