The character attached to my username is simply an amorphous blob, but able to mimic other species.
I can understand your position, my HA was unchanged before my return. For some five years...
Ohhh, gotcha.
Yeah, I left the game for a while and she was stuck for a long time
To be fair my HA reflects my real self. That I can put a spin on it is fine, since its reversible.
This is the board I was looking for, I'm halfway through the posts I need Hailing from Brazil No carved pumpkins or fall weather here
Hmm, grab a seat. Three way chess is fun too.
Hi hello :) This is post number 52 Any of you guys watching the new Stranger Things episodes?
I don't watch TV anymore...Hell, I don't spend much time indoors either. But the sun is setting, and boredom attacks. So I'm here for now.
I'm not much a tv person either, but this show (and the crown) are really, reallyyyyyyy great hahaha so I was a bit obsessed about the episodes... How's everything up there?
The last year has been rough, I got laid off after 15 years as a ranch hand. I've been getting by freelancing, but I'm going to reenter by gaining new skills. That however isn't until next year.
Life is much like "Kerosene" by Pitchshifter. I really hate free time, especially this much.
Aw, that's bad ;~ I have a few friends in between jobs atm too, and it's quite despairing when all you have to do is watching the others come and go while you just............. wait...................... My current situation is the opposite, though. I daydream so often about quitting my job, even though I cannot. :P
My aversion came about from being put to doing chores every weekend. My father didn't like us loafing, but he was fair about it.
This would, I imagine, continue even after getting a job. I don't subscribe to common interests.
And then there's me, spend too much time indoors and on the computer, even at work. Whoops XD
I'm told by both my friend and brothers, that this kind of career has a lot of idle time. Since its by commission, not by standard hours.
At this time I'm with said friend, discussing about whether an old car is salvageable.
Ooh, looking to fix up another car to keep busy or to use later?
I'm not sure, this crate seems more scrap worthy than salvageable. Its a '68 Chevelle, that is quite dilapidated. The first concern is damage control. This isn't like the project I've been involved with, where the car needed to be dismantled. Restoration is the order, but that I think its a long ways off.
For me, any excuse to play with my tools. This can count towards my experience.
pops in perhaps.... four can ping-pong together here?
I live in a small town where many people devote their livelihoods into restoration of autos that seemed fruitless; I have seen many-a "miracle." I think it's nifty, but definitely not where most of my knowledge shines. I hope the experience is enriching for you!
Privyet True, I've seen some turn scrappers into showcases. The other project I had a hand in is a replica 2000 Lamborghini Diablo Roadster. According to my friend, I've been involved since the start. The process is slow, as its college backed. I did a little of everything.
thanks for teaching me some Russian slang :> Also, you've piqued my interest... a replica? So, the foundation vehicle was not a lambo, yeah?? I am curious as to where you would even start with something like that!!
It is already November 1st, wowza. I remember the beginning of this year very clearly, and I cannot believe we have come nearly full-circle. I suppose such a sentiment is rather cliche, but the phenomenon of time going by quickly is a rather new development for me. I am excited, this coming Spring semester is my last semester at the community college and then I will be transferring to a four-year university to finish my degree. I am studying to become a nutritionist... if all goes as planned, I should graduate with my BS in 2020 and then finish my internship (required before being able to become registered) with a MS in 2021. I had a few hurdles with getting into higher education, so I am really excited to see my progression. (Sorry for the word vomit!)
Sure, I'm still learning Russian myself. Correct, the foundation was an '88 Fiero, my friend is going old school. The fiberglass shell was provided by Lamborghini under license. It was shipped all the way form Italy.
But as for how he managed to convince his benefactors, that was a team effort. I was approached because of my location, which was convenient for the project. My initial task was the dismantling.
In my own case I'm gearing toward Spring as well. My friend has suggested I take automotive courses. At least if this works out, I get to "play"on my affinity. I won't be one of those who gives the "there's a game on" excuse.
Funny you should mention the one year mark, I had resumed after a five year absence. I think it was in the last week or so.
I will be honest, I had never known of such a practice with restorations. That is remarkable. I am so impressed by your talents, just through your explanation!
I am proud I can even change a tire or my oil 😇
I hope that, even if college courses aren't what you ultimately decide, you find a way to get back to doing what you enjoy. Bonus points if you get paid, too!!
