ha, I forgot all about that. it started right around that time. we had a staff member who decided she wanted to double dip so she went to work for them. hid it from us, of course. with neo info it was a big deal to be the first one to post news, updates and especially plot steps. when we found out what she was doing she promised that she would quit them. them she would go post news or guides with the same username she had for NL.

it went round and round. she had one other little boy staffer on her side and the two of them stomped off in a huff, finally. but their actions were so toxic we lost a lot of members. by 2009 those of us who were left didn't even play neo anymore. just hung out on our forums and talked all day. but we had pretty much all come over here, too.

and i had a sticker rivalry going. i made a table of all the stickers on neolodage's site just so we could try to keep track of what we needed. but it was just a table and there was not a way for us to actually mark off what we had. subetahq had and actual check list that you could use to checkmark what you had in your collections but it was a pita to try and use.

we daydreamed a lot about having a table that we could toggle for what we had and didn't have. finally aid she thought she could maybe code something that would do that for us. when she finally did make it we put up a mini portal with dailies, etc. - on neolodge, of course. then we started publishing a news page similar to what we have now, but still on NL.

finally, when there were only 19 or 15 of us left and none of us played neo anymore, we just decided to start subetalodge as it's own site. we opened it to the public with just stickers and minions. the minions were how i met eric, actually. you know his gallery. i approached him about using it as a source for gathering item info.

we wanted to have a complete item db but were kind of at a loss as to where to go after the minions and stickers. and honestly, i am not even sure why we did the minions... anyway, then subeta had a reading drive so all the books were added. quickly followed by the plushies and beanbags. the rest of the items just kind of got filled in as we could.

there were not nearly as many items back then as there are now. thank the good lord. all the info was entered by hand. no scripts for any of it. i can remember going to subetahq to collect information just because it was all alphabetical there. :x

and I do mean ALL the info had to be entered manually. holidays would take hours of work to get all the items taken care of. it was major work and all hands on deck, as it were. so when i say you are a great programmer, i am not just trying to blow smoke up your bum. you have done great things to keep us moving forward and nmaking life easier. i honestly don't think we would still be around if everything had to be entered manually still. and we don't get nearly as many new items on a regular basis as we did back in the day. iif you go back through our wardrobe archives you will see a ton of wearables were released everyy month up until about 3 years ago.

are the achievements ready to be announced? I have a bill board that was approved but I paused it till we can announce the new feature.

..but if you want to hold off just a few more days, I haven't forgotten that you want a new page for mass-adding items to checklists. I started on that before things went cockeyed at work and I've picked up on it. It's taking a while because I'm doing some clean-up work on the whole way we do these mass-adds (right now, there's a separate script for every type of collection, which means when Subeta changes their layout, we have to rewrite those scripts. What I'm trying to do is write one common script that will work for as many pages as possible (we'll probably always have to do wardrobe separately. grrrr)

- I'm late to the party, but I can see what sort of prizes I can scrounge up. I can also accept answers in my inbox. I agree with just putting everyone in a pool and drawing 10 winners. I think it'll be easier.

Can you believe that SubetaLodge has been around for ten years? The genesis of the site is a few years older than that and we started out as little more than a checklist for a few collections, not all the items. The site has grown incredibly over the years with a complete item database, the minionier, graphics (brag banners, pet/user profiles), vending guide, past event info, and so much more.
