Don't merge your neutral Reinhardt, he pops up in F2P guides every once in a while. Eliwood's refine is great and it makes me want to build him too but I figure I'll finish merging his son first :3

I've had some fun with the new merge system today, love that we can see where the flaws are. I merged my Summer Takumis to remove a speed flaw so that's good, and also merged my Lutes to get rid of her -atk flaw so now she's just +res, and my Julia's now +res without worrying about anything else. I also somehow had 3 regular Azuras so they're now all one unit with a +atk asset.

Julia is getting a rehaul of her kit, she was running desperation but she only has 30 spd, so doesn't make sense in the speedy meta. I've given her att/res bond and am thinking about giving her a Chill skill (maybe res) to help her be the best dragon killer she can be but I'm still umming over that.

i've not check mine's IVs yet, but with the update I should be able to figure out as I'm leveling him now. -still needs to finish getting spring xander and the other blues leveled-

- That is true, but they usually use +att ones in the guides anyway. He technically isn't f2p, he has never been given to us as a free unit, they just like to use him cus he's been around a long time and is dumb good. The neutral one I have is only 4*, I feel like it's a waste to make him 5* and not merge him.

- We do have a double EXP event on right now through the 15th, so that should help. :) Soren made it to level 40 without nearly enough SP for all his skills OTL

My other Gacha game is having a Valentines event until the 20th though with tons of grinding so that might be a distraction for FE leveling >_<

congrats on your rolls, everyone! i am/was still up for reset so i did my second seasonal unit roll... no red orbs. prince of scams got me again! haha. there were three greens so i took a chance and got bridal sanaki. sharena might be getting atk/res bond after i get my hero merit feathers... my free roll on the tempest banner was flora, though, so that's pretty nice!

I got a Lon’qu for my free roll on the tempest banner but after checking the IVs of my various pity breaker Ike, Mia and Oscar I discovered they were all -atk in some form. Poked at the TT banner again and was super lucky to get another Mia in 5 orbs. She was -atk +speed so I merged my Mias and now have a +spd Mia and my TT team sorted :3

I got one red orb on my holiday summon circle, it was Hoshido Summer Micaiah- didn’t have her so yay C:

Got Halloween Mia today, pretty much with this banner it was a choice between Colorless and Red as I only had one unit from Red ( Hird ) and none from Colorless ( I though I had one but I realized now I confused Spring Kagaro for Halloween Kagaro ). Two Colorless showed so it was a win win.

I'll probably level Mia with Nephanee now that I finally got Xander leveled >_< I had to kep surrendering maps as eveyone was multi shoting him. It was my fault that I gave him Fury too soon though maybe

I only had one of the red units, so I was going to pick red, but once again did not get the colour I wanted. Didn't even get my back up colour:( (blue) ended up with summer linde. I didnt have her and she is unique class, but meh. Thia game hates me.

I got a Fir fir my free pulls (both of them lol) but I'm not too upset about that since I at some point turned her into a manual, so now I can get her dragonflower.

I did get valentines ike today, so it wasn't a total loss summoning wise today.

it's alright, having only one unit escape me in two years is a pretty good streak, i think! ... also it's kind of funny that it's been just hrid who's been so difficult to get 8) congrats on the mia, and the micaiah! i love using the loaner hoshido michaiah on my friend's list, she's a neat one o:

that was like me with my free pull except I got like 1 red and 4 colorless when I wanted a green. D: ended up with another NY Gunnthra which I guess isn't too bad even if she does resemble Camilla, albeit more robed lmao

In January, I finally figured out the merging / IVs / inheriting skills thing and now they change the system with flaws when merging? I'm going to have to see what that's about since I don't have anyone I'd like to merge rn anyway. T_T On a free 24hr redeem, I pulled a Surtr and boy, oh boy, that really was a game changer along with bumping Reinhardt from 4 * to 5 *. I think my new goals for 2019 are +10ing my core team but it sucks when 3 of the 4 are only pulled as 5 * since I'd rather just unlock potential from a 3 or 4 *. D: Gonna take eons to get Surtr +10 and by then they'll probs demote him. I put his special as one of those wind things where every few turns he does even more damage pre-round to those around him which makes sweeping maps really easy lol. What a lifesaver. Makes the rest of my 5 * units seem unplayable but that's because almost all the good A/B/C supports are on 5 * units I wouldn't want to use as fodder, fml. xD Props to anyone not using Surtr because I feel like I'm copping out but it's... just so much fun to annihilate the map with him lol.

that is a neat Eliwood, you have me tempted now too... nice to see him deleting Surtr 8)

And the merge change is good, effectively negates the flaws so if for example you had a +spd -atk unit and you merged another copy into it, it’d bring the atk back to neutral, which is really helpful! It’s already helped me fix a Lute and a Mia :3 congrats as well on your Surtr. I have mixed feelings about him, but if he works for you then it can only be good :3

so, it doesn't matter what the merging unit's IVs are because the unit it merges into is what is taken into account? :0 granted, I'm not sure how the stat gains were prior to merging, since I just merged two 5 * heroes so far. I mean, I'm not sure that's ideal because maybe I just want a +atk -res or whatever so I can have a super high attack instead of neutralising? but again, I'm such a newb that I'm sure I'm wrong xD

He was the unit that kept killing me during the the main story maps, so imagine my surprise when I got him, especially since I play F2P and never have more than like 20 ish orbs at a time. Imma use him to get more orbs from the harder maps so I can pull for units I actually like haha.

the new merge change nullifies the flaw on a character so they only have assets after merging C:

So for example, I merged my extra Lute into my -atk +res Lute. With the new change, Lute’s attack became neutral, but she retained her +res nature. So if you merged your 5* character, they won’t have a flaw stat any more but they will keep the asset stat of the unit you put the merge on to. (Hope that is helpful?! Some am clear as mud)

I hope Surtr is helpful and you get the units you want. I’m terrible at saving but I have scraped together 110 orbs so far. Once you start to save it gets a little easier but ignoring the temptation is hard.

and to add to fluttershy's explainer, if the unit you're merging is neutral (no asset/flaw), they get +5 stats after merging (+2 to the two highest stats, +1 to the third highest, i believe)

- lol. I try not to use surtur, a) I hate him. And b) feels like playing on easy mode. (But mostly a) Lol. He would definitely be a beast at +10. Good luck achieving that! Reinhardt is also a good choice, no contest between using him at 4* vs 5* he isnt useful at all at 4*, but 5*... destroyer. I wish we could have switched summoning circles. I had 3 green and 2 colorless and I wanted red. :( (I went colourless)

- I figured it would be good to have a horse merge, and he is quite under appreciated. (And since I started his merge I have summoned an eirika and a caeda, so they can finally get more merges too! Lol)

But yeh, guess me and Blazingknight have things in common with making bad units work ( Summer Leo, Narcian, and even vanilla Henry come to mind)

Joy! I got Hoshidan Summer Micaiah! Her IVs are decently good as well (+res -spd). Time to crush some armored dastards and dance the dance of summer festivity!
