There is a lot of support for this suggestion, but staff seems reluctant to implement it, which is honestly somewhat upsetting in itself, as they haven't given a good excuse why not. I believe that users deserve more protection for things we pay real money for.
There actually was an excuse posted for not implementing this, but I didn't think it made sense - and there was no response when I brought up my concerns (see above in this thread).
Here is the script I made that adds the pop-up confirmation, in case you haven't seen - but it only works on desktop Subeta because I haven't figured out how to install it on mobile browsers. It would be great if Subeta even just copied my script onto the shop pages, because then you could have it on your phone too without doing anything. It's pretty simple, also - it's like 3 lines of jQuery.
I hope this issue gets the attention it deserves soon. I understand if there's more important things to be done for other suggestions and issues to be addressed, but since this one involves real money, I think it should have high priority.

Thanks you for releasing that script, I had seen it in your previous post! But unfortunately all the issues I had were when playing Subeta on the iPad. On my desktop I haven't had problems yet because hovering is easier there.
I do think you have a point there. There are many examples on site where a pop-up is generated to confirm a purchase or another event. It is strange that staff in general seem reluctant to do this on this occasion as this often revolves around CSC and real money...
I'm in agreement honestly. I'd rather have a pop-up for every item (what staff said would have to happen) than no pop-up. I can't look at user shops on my phone because a wrong swipe or too close hover means I'm buying CWS I don't want.
It shouldn't be up to us to download add-ons and write scripts to protect our money :/ (although I very much appreciate the add-on and script you gave us for desktops.
I know staff said a pop-up for every item would have to happen, but - to be frank - that's just not true. If my script is able to single out CWs for the confirmation pop-up, then there's no reason they can't do the same thing on the actual website. After all, my script has no control over the webpage code, but they do. I've been feeling weird about this for a while, and there was never a response to my thoughts on that, so I'm left unsure what to think. I wish they would respond to my concerns specifically, because I really don't want to stir anything up but the lack of response just leaves me with a bad feeling :(

I think the problem is that there's a lot of recoding to do already, and only two full-time coders who are focused on other things. We basically stopped getting responses on all the things that had been discussed around the same time (the CW database, removing things permanently from shops, problems with items that have no copies left at all still appearing in user shops and on the overall item page, etc). I agree that it seems like, if your script can isolate items requiring one type of currency, they could create a function that do that. But maybe it's not something they consider high priority. Although honestly, I have no idea what is priority since none of those things have had any progress, and neither has the wardrobe. So...no idea what part of the site's code they're so focused on :/
They could literally copy-paste my code into the bottom of the page, and it would work well enough... I mean it wouldn't be ideal, but it would be something.
I would love to lend them a hand with the coding. I wish it were easier, or that I were able to help somehow, if it's just that they have a lot to do and not enough coders to do it.

Yeah, I'm honestly not sure what the sticking point is on this :/
- There is quite a lot to read through on this thread so I apologise if I am repeating someone. I too have the fear of buying something csc by accident and would love to see a confirmation pop up. In the mean time I have changed all my csc to cards and put it in my vault. It's not a solution for the problem but it is a handy stop gap.
I know there may be recodes and stuff planned, but I still think some sort of temporary patch fix for this would be nice until we get the big code changes. I'm always really careful about what I click on the shop search pages, but it's pretty easy to accidentally click and buy something (especially if you're using a phone or other touch screen device).
Accidentally buying an item for millions of sP is one thing, but CSC is comparable to actual money. You shouldn't have to risk losing $5 over an accidental click.
I was trying to hover something on my phone and all of a sudden the CW was in my inventory. Something that would have prevented that would have been very welcome!
Now I just don't browse on my phone. =/

support. so people don't have to bog down Cash Shop with converting their CSC into credit cards...
I support this. I've accidentally purchased CWs when I was trying to hover for a preview. :/
I totally support this! I accidentally bought two CWs now because the layout on the mobile was acting up. Please, pretty please implement this suggestion!

Seconding this, I heard from many people who accidentally bought something when on mobile. Yet not when it can only be coded when this pop up window has to appear on every purchase in a shop even when sP. Questing would take much more time then.

This has been asked for a lot. Just adding my "please, people want it" to the pile.
just i make a mistake with CC and thank god for a user who help me...
i found in www that it is not allowed to make a deal with one click if u use real money ( or like here cash, u bought with real money ) it must give a second popup witch u aks if u wanna buy really this item, than confirm... but i forget where i found it...
and on the most big game sites it is normal to make a deal in this way, so i hope we get a confirm button, for a smart programmer is just peanuts... ;)

For the love of god please! I just lost 1700 csc because I was scrolling through someone's shop while on my phone. I am so mad, if my csc is going to be so easily wasted I well not be buying any more. As far as I am concerned this lack of a safety feature just stole $15 from me
Do you have a wyllop? Befriend my pet Poopie!
I want all the rat/rodent things.
would it be possible to make a note in the first post here about my userscript? You can quote me from this post of mine (or just link it) if you want. I think that would be useful just so people know it's an option (on computers at least) without having to read through the 4 pages of this topic. Thanks.

A popup would be really helpful.Every time I'm looking to buy CWs I get scared that I'll accidentally click an item that I don't want.I'd rather have a popup for every item in user shops than lose CSC because of a misclick.
