He also wasn't expecting more conversation, but now Magnus was talking about Quidditch, a subject he never turned down. "Your mom is?," Eros asked, genuinely curious as it sounded like she was Quidditch player. "Yeah, beater is what I normally play," he answered. "But I'm not any better or worst at Chaser either," he added, priding himself on being well-rounded. "Only play beater officially because of strength. Comes from working on a ranch since...forever," explaining more than he usually did.

Eros looked down as he opened his box. He looked inside to see what color ball it would reveal. "Black," he replied to the Ravenclaw, holding up his ball to show the color as if proof was needed. It seem like he would be on the same team as Magnus.

"I think your right...he does." she smiled back. "and yes...it does seem to be that they are getting onto teams..."

(((OOC...I'm sorry, my furnace is having to be replaced, which is requiring that the wiring in the house also be upgraded. I only have electric and phone and internet very intermittently until sometime Tuesday afternoon. I'll do my best to keep up as I can, and to fully catch up sometime Tuesday or Wednesday morning, depending on when the repairs are completed)))

Eirik looked at Fable, and his eyes glittered as he looked over his sunglasses at her. "Do you want to walk down with the group, or hang back a little..? so, you know," he smiled, " we can talk privately...?" and then he winked.

Elizabeth had noticed the group of students at the bulletin board as she walked around and quickly skimmed through the words written on the poster. Thinking about it for a moment, she decided for herself not to enter - as the second image showed students flying on broomsticks. Her fear of heights was real and the Flying lessons were the least she was able to handle. Nevertheless, watching the games would be quite entertaining. She wondered how many of her housemates would participate. Noticing some known faces, she waved at them shortly as some of them were talking with other students right now.

Eirik looked up, sensing someone familiar. He looked over and saw Elizabeth, and smiled. "Fable, Elizabeth is here, " he said, then waved to Elizabeth. "Come on over and join us, Elizabeth," he called out quietly.

"Yes, Maddox Price. Nice to meet you." It really was hard to keep up with so many people arriving and so many conversations going at once. How was anyone even heard? He gave up trying to follow what everyone was saying, his gaze straying to the two girls who were running this thing. It was time to open their boxes and Maddox did so with a little trepidation as they started moving toward the field.

Reaching into the box he pulled out a white ball.

I have to apologize for before. I was very rude to you because I lost my temper thinking you were criticizing me unjustly. It was wrong, and I'm sorry." Poppy stammered from nerves and blushed, uncertain if the boy was willing to accept her apology.

Magnus smiled and made a black foam finger handing it to . "Thanks, I'd appreciate that."

"Be good, Eirik," Magnus said, "Don't do anything I wouldn't." His eyes flashed with mischievousness.

Eros was talking more than Magnus expected and seemed to be interested which was a good sign in Magnus' book. "Mum played under both 'er maiden name Stella Williams and married last name of Lee. She played for the Holly Head Harpies after 'Ogwarts. She retired to try to 'ave a child, but they couldn't so they wound up adopting me. She makes Quidditch supplies now, though she often goes and joins 'er old team in some flying." Magnus listened and and was impressed that the other boy trained for multiple positions in the game and said as much. "A ranch? That's cool. Do you 'ave horses?" They both opened their boxes to discover they were on the same team. "'Looks like we are on the same team." Magnus looked pleased.

Magnus nodded to Elizabeth, "'Ow are you?" They hadn't had a lot of time to talk in the previous workshop.

The new boy, Maddox was on the white team and Magnus nodded. It appeared Poppy was also on the white team.

Maddox glanced sideways at the girl, Poppy if he remembered correctly. He hadn't expected an apology, especially with her previous attitude which he may have taken wrong. Of course being tense and nervous, even if he wouldn't admit it, had made him a little edgier than normal. He still wasn't sure they could ever be friends but- he could be diplomatic about it and wait and see. Realizing he hadn't answered he rolled the ball between his fingers and nodded his head once. "I might have overreacted as well. We shall put it behind us and start over," he stated, voice low and a little questioning. At least he could take part of the responsibility for the little argument earlier.

Aria let out a joyful squeal when she found out that she'd be on the same team as some of her closest friends and her brother. Dax took the black ball that Aria had been given and began to play with it.

She looked over at Magnus, "I'm sorry you didn't get to be on the same team as Katsumi," she said with a whisper. "However, I know that you two already discussed the idea of competing against each other with vigor!" Aria winked over at Katsumi and gave her a friendly elbow nudge before swiftly making her way to the gear box.

After donning her black jersey Aria pulled on her helmet and gloves, "Alright, I'm ready!" she exclaimed.

Poppy smiled gratefully at Maddox () and tentatively put out her hand to shake. "I think I'll be glad to call you my housemate, and teammate now," she laughed after all the tension and felt a rush of release. The field looked awesome and the fresh air was invigorating.

She thanked Beth () before taking shoes, gloves, a helmet, and a jersey. "May I leave my shoes with you guys? Thanks for coming to hang out!" She began donning her gear near where Eirik (), , and Elizabeth () were getting set up to watch. It was going to be fun and exciting to run around in the snow! Being cooped up inside the castle doing homework had been making her stir crazy.

Outfit Not Found Magnus put his gear on happily. "No worries, Aria, its 'ealthy to 'ave competition." To Kat he said, "Good luck, you'll need it." The playful smile stretching across his face.

He waved to them with his hands still buried inside his cozy scarf. Fully intending to watch and not participate he wandered toward the group of students not picking out jerseys and helmets. (@/Nik @/Anne @/Fable) “So we’re the cheerleaders then?” He smirked but quickly avoided making any eye contact to try and keep from turning red. Spotting Magnus (@/raven) and Kat (@/shylarah) out on the field donning opposite colors his anxiety began to wane. He knew it would be a shame to have missed this.

Magnus spotted his bestfriend and waved. He was fairly sure Fade would see his bewitched quill taking sketches of the match.

Eirik chuckled at Magnus. "You are a little young, I think there are many things I would do that you wouldn't," he said quietly.

Eirik walked with the group down to the pitch, and found the perfect spot for them to watch the activities. He transformed the small washcloth he had tucked into his pocket into a large blanket, then cast a warming charm on it. He spread it out on the ground, and motioned for Fable and Anne to make themselves comfortable, before he sat down himself.

He waited for Kyros to open his box, whatever team got him might have a slight advantage, he was a pretty clever individual.

When their prefect Poppy came over, he gave her a small smile. "Of course you may keep them near us, they will stay warm and dry."

Eirik looked up at the boy with the blue hair, he vaguely remembered seeing him from the previous workshop. "Yes," he said, smiling, "we are. Would you care to join us..? The blanket has a warming charm on it. I'm Eirik, and this is Fable and Elizabeth."

Eirik was starting to really look forward to watching these events. There were a lot of people he could observe, new ones to get to know...and for once it wasn't a house against house thing.

Paddy opened her box and picked out a black ball. Pleased she'd picked out her favourite pair of trainers so she didn't have to borrow any with a good grip, she pulled on her black jersey, and grabbed a helmet and a pair of gloves.
