I'd like to put my name up for Endeavour. I've been on Subeta for 10.5 years and I've never before written an application for a pet, but I couldn't pass this one up because I've taken my UN from Inspector Morse, and his first name happens to be Endeavour.
I'm not much of a writer (though I'm currently - finally! - trying to come up with some proper stories for Kettunen and Magic Scooter), but I'd make Endeavour a fanpet for Morse, complete with a treasure full of detective stuff, books and items related to fine arts. I'd most likely change him into a common , and eventually into some other pet entirely, once I can figure out what suits him best. Edit: currently I'm leaning towards a nostalgic noktoa. He's a bit soft but still dignified.
His profile would include my favourite Morse quotes and background info on the character.

Alright I think I've got time now to sit down and apply for these lovelies! c: I'm Trixie. I've been on Subeta for numerous years, and enjoyed every bit of my time here. My biggest obsession is filling my pets' treasure chests. I've always found it to be very exciting to hunt down specific items that are just perfect to a pet's story. c: Just my favorite quirk around here!
Other than that I do make characters and profiles for all of my pets. I will admit that some of my pets don't have much right now, but almost all of them DO have a personality to go along with them. Just like earlier though, I have connection issues and it's hard to actually get profiles done when loading pages is a chore in itself. :/ Some examples of my favorite treasures and stories are Smudge, Basket and Chamber. Though I would have to say my favorite pet of mine is Odyssey. She is my biggest project and although she doesn't have much written down, my girlfriend Cuckoo and I work on her world quite a bit. We tie in a lot of our pets together so that might end up happening to either pet here, if you decide to adopt out to me, that is.
Anyway, enough rambling.
My idea for Erupt is that he's a vengeful volcano ex-god that plagues the island he's bound to. I was thinking he could possibly be cursed to never leave because he attempted to bring forth a hellish army to overrun the spirit world. Since his plan failed, he was stripped of his godliness and is now mortal and always brooding... roaring in anger and bellowing smoke from his volcano. He'll probably be a Reborn Archan because they're my favorite species and the revamp is really awesome and fitting. c: Probably going to be tied in with my other Archans, Loud (possible mate?) and Shamrock. Lots of fiery and rocky items in the TC, as well as gold; coins, treasures, etc. Aztec theme.
and with Grape, I'll admit I have a huge soft spot for the name. I used to own Grapevine on here and loved her character, but I grew detached from the name. She was a simple orchard/winery owner in a mideval/fantasy setting that was forced to join in the crusades when dragons and/or other mythical creatures started attacking. Honestly I didn't work out all of the kinks, but I LOVED the idea. I wanted a video game kind of vibe and I thought the nickname Grape fit that perfectly. Her treasure would probably be wine/maybe some foliage and then video memorabilia (like in Tycoon's TC). In fact, she might even be tied in with him in his world, as well as with some of Cuckoo's characters too.
Sorry for such a long-winded post. I hope you'll find my ideas fitting for your precious babs! c:
I will say one thing tho, if there&;s any you&;ve listed that you&;ve said you won&;t be letting go of, I&;d just remove them from the list, cuz otherwise, it seems sorta silly to say they&;re UFA if they&;re not really at all, you know?
I'm very sorry if what what I'm going to say now is going to sound rude, but I think it needs to be said.
As I said on the first post, all the pets are tentatively UFA. I'm not quitting and I don't need the pet slots for anything. I also didn't got bored of them at all.
95% of my pets have been hand-painted. For some, I have waited more than 8-10 months for a name to clear, then used CSC to rename a already existent pet. Some I have renamed 3-4 times and repainted. Lots had a gender change. I have 10 pet slots from the MC and 13 bought with pure CSC.
And that means I have put LOTS of effort on my pets. Even given that they're just pixels, I care for them because they represent my effort. So what I'm opening here is an opportunity: I'm not a pro-pet Subeta Player. I can't do art, can't do profiles and can't do stories well. I can always comission them, but I'm pretty sure I won't do it anytime soon because I have nearly 50 pets, LMAO.
As I want the best for the pixels who represent my effort and I also would like to give some awesome users a belated Lumi Gift, I have decided to put all them tentatively UFA. If an user thinks one of my pets doesn't worth the effort to write a few paragraphs of an application because I might end up keeping them or giving to someone else, then I can keep my pets for good.
I'm sorry if I looked rude or upset, but that needed to be said. I hope you're not angry with me and don't take this personally.

There are a bunch I LOVE (Erupt, Expulsion, Fallacious, IMPIOUS omg), but unfortunately for me the only one I have an idea for is Idealistic, so I will just be applying for them. OTL
Idealistic App
I would base Idealistic off of my character Priscilla. Long story short, she is a sheltered aristocrat whose father is actually an extraordinarily corrupt King. At the beginning of her story, she is driven from the castle and realizes the evil her family has sown across the land. The rest of the story is about her resolving to restore good to the land and righting the wrongs brought about by her forefathers.
She is a very innocent and, well, idealistic character, so I thought the name as perfect for her. I haven't decided on a species for her yet, but I'm thinking she will probably remain Angelic. I have several Spotlight-winning pets, including Bagon, Spookwave, Penel, and Broadsword. As with each of them, I would construct a TC for her, write her a story, purchase art, and either commission or make her a profile to tie it all together.
Regardless of your decision, thank you for considering me!
I'm sorry if you found my statement uncalled for, but I have simply seen a couple of replies from you that when someone asked about a pet, you have stated that that particular pet wasn't going to be going anywhere, so that to me, isn't a tentative UFA for that particular pet- you've already decided that you won't adopt them out, so I see no point in offering those names if you're never going to adopt them out to anyone else. That's all I was saying. I just find it a little strange to offer any of them that you're more than likely never going to get rid of, even if it's not 100%, I suppose I just don't understand it. It's like a tease.
As for your last bolded remark, just wanted to say, I never implied I thought your pets weren't worth writing an application for and if that's what you gathered from my remark (or my very basic app), I apologize as it was not my intent. I was simply pointing out something I found strange but did not mean to diminish your desire to be generous or find good homes for said pets. It's okay if you decide to pass me over because you found my comment rude and my application inadequate, that's all up to you obviously.

I'm not willing to tease anyone with pet names. That would be far too ridiculous.
And I also never said that any particular pet (except Daze, who isn't listed) wasn't absolutely going nowhere. I said that I would be more picky for some pets than others (it's stated on my first post).
Some pets will need owners who impress me with their works on their actual owned pets, so I can let go of mine. It's just that. Because if my pets are going to be with someone who won't work on them, they're better with me.
I have seen tons of tentatively UFA boards before and no one came to imply something like "you're trying to tease others", so I'm pretty upset to see that on my board. Seriously. I'll just be picky for some, which is something that I have total right to be.
I apologize for upsetting you, that was not my intent. I have seen tentative boards before and have never said anything for the reason of the 'tentative' mark on the board (or not having room so I don't bother asking). You have told 2 people that 2 of your pets (Daze and Possible) "probably won't be going anywhere". If you know that you more than likely won't adopt them out, then why are they even on the list? I understand the idea of 'if someone impresses me enough I may give them up' but if you're basically certain one or more won't go to anyone else regardless, then those ones in particular don't really seem all that tentative and that is why I said 'tease' because that's what looks like. Not all of them, just those you have already decided aren't going to be actually included in the adoption.
But like I said, it's all up to you- they're your pets, this is your board and I'm sorry for the intrusion and for making mention of something I simply found weird. Forget I said anything at all and don't let that stop anyone else's apps from impressing you (because that's not fair to them) & I'll just be on my way, happy Lumi.

if it's not too late, I'd love to enter my name in for Grabby! i've only been a member of SB for about maybe a year and a half now and I've already got a small collection of RW named pets going; grabby would make a great addition!
i've already got a fitting idea for him. as a person who loves to collect little things that I find, Grabby will definitely be getting a bigger treasure chest. i'd like to think he'd be a pet who has an admiration for little items and keeps a collection of them all, hence the name "Grabby". he can't keep his hands off of anything that he finds shiny and/or small. whether it be small coins, marbles, bottle caps, anything.
as for his species/color, I'll probably be keeping the color the same as it definitely seems to fit him. for species, perhaps something else like the chibi experiment :

as for his profile and such, I don't exactly have an idea for it right now, but I'll definitely think of something along the way~ many of my pets aren't exactly finished, but I'm slowly getting there! i'm not too great of a writer, so stories might not come for awhile. i do plan to finish all/most of them, though. i also plan to make art of each and every one. i'll be doing something with all of them (and grabby), so don't worry about him not having a theme, profile, or anything like that. it'll all come sooner or later. ❤

Application for Impious
I'd like to apply for Impious. My pets are a constant work in progress, but I work on them daily with training and reading. Almost all of my pets are hand-painted, and they all have stories. Grail is a complete pet with custom overlay, profile art, and a custom profile. Sproinks will soon have a custom profile, it is in progress right now. Sadly, I was unable to find an artist I could afford who was willing or able to do profile art for a steamwork pet, but I made it up to Sproinks by having a really great profile-maker do his profile. I admit that I get in a backlog because I must commission art and profiles for my pets, but as I can afford it, I work on improving my pets. All of my pets are original characters, and I write all of their stories myself.
Treasure chests are the area I have identified that I need to work on as a player, so that will be my goal and focus for 2017. Pet treasure is a new concept to me, and I admire how players skilled in its use can literally tell the pet's story by the items it treasures.
I have been on Subeta for nearly 3 years, and I'm not going anywhere, I love it here. I find the art for the pets on Subeta to be amazing! Even though I love the Subeta pet art, I do work hard on getting custom overlays for my pets. I think it is amazing that we can make our pets look exactly as we see them in our hearts.
I have wanted to do a pet that was cast out of their community for heresy for some time, and how could a pet be more perfect than Impious for that? My interest stems from my real world fascination with obscure doctrinal heresies of the late Dark Ages. (imagine several boring paragraphs on that topic here which I will spare you)
The idea that you could get so deeply into an aspect of your religion that the Church could kick you out...it is fascinating to me, and there are many ways this could tie into a great story for Impious. Not by evil works, but by too deeply striving to understand the Mystery of his religion, Impious becomes outcast, and the townspeople (who are on his side for once) dub him the 'Saint of Sinners' and begin to weave their own mythology around him which hearkens back to the old Welsh folk practice of the 'Sin Eater' (believed to have been a thriving practice in the middle to late Dark Ages by some credible scholars, by the way)
And I will be very honest here. With this story, Impious will probably never win a Pet Spotlight. I fear that his story will probably be seen as boring by most Subetans. I create and design my pets to be my companions, each highlighting one of my many varied interests. If you want the pet to receive prizes for its entertainment value, you probably should select a different owner for Impious. However, if you want a pet that will be a constant companion and the delight of his owner, then I am a very good candidate to own Impious. If he comes here, needless to say, he will be here forever. I neither zap my pets or rehome or abandon them. Each of my pets is a labor of love and they stay with me.
This is not a simple story, but in my head it is nearly complete. I would have no trouble having this story written within a month to be honest.
Impious would be given a custom overlay very quickly (literally as soon as I can find an artist) I have no objection to his species or color, they very likely would remain the same. But I no longer have good vision, and I honestly can not see the current artwork for this pet at all. I see a black blob, and that makes me :(. He would be very thin, based on his current occupation as a Sin Eater in rural Wales. I think he will not have clothing in the overlay drawing, but will have ragged and soiled footwraps. (I am 95% sure about no clothing other than footwraps, but I am still visualizing the character in my mind.)
If there is anything else I can tell you to be fully considered, please let me know! :)

Possible was very tentative (because it was a gift from from some months ago + I adore the name) and since he had no interest up to that point, I said he wasn't probably going anywhere. Me being picky + No applicants = Pet staying. It's simple, really.
And actually... I think Maggie is right. If I'm attached and since there's no interest besides me and her, I should keep him. :) I love to random chat with Mag, so it's good to look at him and remember that. xD
UPDATE ON THE TOPIC: I'll pick some owners tomorrow (1st) and others along the week. So please have in mind than the time for new applications might end soon.

Hi! My name is Sophia. I’m a college student. I’ve been playing Subeta for a little over 3 years now. My favorite aspect of the site has always been pets. I am a member of Menagerie (the pet cult) and I had a pet story shop for a while which I can certainly link you to if you’d like to see. I draw art for my pets, make profiles with photoshop and code, and I also write stories. Although I don’t have much free time, the majority of the time I am on Subeta I’m working on my pets and I try to log on at least 5 days a week. A few of the pets I wrote stories for (before I changed my username) that won the pet spotlight are Waterscape and Kosumi.
My Pets All of my finished and unfinished pets are visible on my profile. I have 7 spotlight winners. A few of the pet profiles are currently placeholders for other pets I’m working on — but all of my pets have some level of work put into them. Though I did commission the art and profiles for all of my spotlight winners, I wrote their stories myself and you can view a profile WIP I made myself here and art I drew myself here.

Sur - A dragon who inhabits hell; her layout is currently a placeholder for a profile I was working on quite a while ago, but her ideas are saved offline. Vana - A lady who is being revamped into a warrior huntress who morphs into a wolf but has no memory of it.
Plans I would absolutely love to adopt Grape and make him into a little frog (a chibi Xotl) that finds a grape and, thinking it is an oddly shaped frog, and becomes best friends with it. My boyfriend and I own frogs (among other pets) and I want to base it off of my frog Silly. I would love to expound on this idea more if you want to hear more details!

So: active five-year user with three pets at current (two with complete stories, one personally trained up to T8 closing on T9, one with their idea basically formulated) expressing interest in Longitude as a counterpart to Corsair. I'm picky when it comes to names and profiles ^~^"
Examples of complete stories are here, for Rys and Rearguard (Tae). I'm in the process of compiling images and code for complete profiles and Rearguard's is almost done.
Corsair has a very brief outline of his 'araby rags-to-riches' story (and a written entry for the recent-ish competition) on his page but basically, it's a beggarboy-to-captain story. Longitude would be an older sailor on Corsair's ship, an experienced hand who acts as the navigator aboard and has an almost supernatural sense of direction. When Merana pops up again, Longitude is going to be blessed into Hydrus.
