Yeap summer till September. Storms start forming as early as May now and the last hurricane scare/hit was in October. For us it gets cloudy every day but it doesn't rain.
I haven't seen snow in years. The most cold I have been at was Seattle last March when I went for 3 days and it was glorious!
Seattle is glorious, but Pacific Northwest cold is very different from Rust Belt/Great Lakes cold, but both are cold and can be enjoyable. And I know that there are much colder places to be than Pittsburgh. I used to live North of Syracuse on the shore of Lake Ontario-THAT was cold.
This week has been crazy. -Is so ready for a break- Some more fun should be coming to this board soon winks
You live in Florida? Do you get to go to Wizarding World much? I live in TN; winters here are normally pretty light too.
I'll bet it is beautiful there when it snows.
Thank you! I don't want to take it off. (Is getting emotionally attached to a piece of clothing)
That ornament is Cuuute. ❤
🌸Seeking:
Pittsburgh is not to many people's taste, but I find it magical and beautiful in the snow...but then, I find it beautiful even when it is awful. :)
Haha, that is good. I think I romanticize Pennsylvania. Maybe because of The Office or too many monopoly games as a child. xD
🌸Seeking:I used to work at WWoHP before they finished the Diagon Alley side. We are planning on going next year :)
Really?! Did you enjoy working there? I would think some of the magic would be lost if you work there for too long. I hate saying that visiting WW was one of the best things that has happened in my life, but it legit was. xD
🌸Seeking:Now that I have been away for a while really if I could do it again I would and still be there. I worked at Honeydukes and I got to meet the twins and Rupert. I also saw some of the other actors right outside the store. Even as an employee you can really find the magic within it.
That is awesome, girl! :) What a neat experience. Did you work during the conventions or while they went on tour?
🌸Seeking:There are night time activities. I worked one of the Leaky Cauldron conventions. Companies can have the park after hours. Those can be fun too.
Oh, that's awesome. I'm glad you got to experience that. Have you been there since they opened Diagon Alley?
🌸Seeking:Nope. I left right before they finished the park. They hadn't even worked with the Hogwarts Express.
You're going to love it! That was my favorite park. Maybe it's because they opened it early the day I went. But you can feel the heat from the dragon. It's magical. What time of year will you visit?
🌸Seeking:Probably October. It is less busy during the day in the week and also Halloween Horror Nights! The best times to visit is during week days and avoid major holidays/school breaks. Get there 1 hr after park opening so the morning line is gone and parking is easier and that way you can get food at an unconventional hour since the super early people will have lunch and clog the lines.
That would be so fun to be there around Halloween. I would honestly never want to go in the summer. I've seen clips that make me cringe by how crowded the place gets. :) Ah, good tips! My sis and I went in February during a weekday. It wasn't too busy. But they closed early, so we didn't get to stay past dark. I'm sure WW looks amazing at night.
🌸Seeking:Yeah the park is better closer to holidays since it is open longer hours but summer is pretty bad time. It is super hot. It rains pretty much every afternoon which makes the heat and humidity even worse. The park is gorgeous and mysterious at night. Hogsmeade had a very mysterious vibe made me think of the movie. March is good for the Mardi Grass stuff and concert series at Universal. HHN in October, the Christmas parade, and the summer concerts. There is always a good reason to go all year long XD
Ah, I'll bet! Hopefully, I can go back one day. Are you planning on dressing up when you go this autumn?
🌸Seeking:Oh most likely deck myself with my HP stuff. I also want to buy some stuff there.
You make it sound wonderful! I honestly was afraid it would be really cheesy, so I haven't paid it any attention, but now, listening to you two, I feel like I want to try to make the trip sometime. :)
