I mostly use Netflix for old TV shows too. I'm in a fandom for one and a bunch of us go into chat once a week and watch an episode together. It's fun trying to synchronise it so that we all press start at the same time. Often false starts, or someone comes into the chat room a minute or two later and we have to restart or pause for them to catch up. I don't have a DVD option on there, but there's always far too much to watch for the amount of spare time I have :)
Congrats on the The Witch with the Oven wins and prizes!
We have Netflix but rarely watch it. We barely have time to watch all the shows we DVR :P We got rid of Hulu Plus earlier this year. It always made me mad that we had to watch commercials on something that we were paying for. And we had a lot of trouble with it locking up. I don't know how many times I watched commercials at the beginning of a show like 10 times trying to get the show to actually load. Of course I heard they got Smallville right after we cancelled it, which I still haven't seen all the way through
I tried Hulu plus, specifically to catch up on Supernatural, and I was a little peeved they only had like the last 3 episodes available for streaming. Ugh! Netflix has it now so yay! I love that show!

I really need to watch Supernatural. I missed the first series and kept thinking I'd see it - it's about 10 years worth to watch now, isn't it? Sort of daunting! :D
Supernatural is very good! It's in season 12 now, so the first 11 should be on netflix. I think I watched 6 or 7 seasons on netflix before I started watching it weekly
I have always loved supernatural, they cast the leads so perfectly!
"Tempest has descended from above in order to play! You receive a storm item so she can get close enough to give you a MIGHTY BEAR HUG.
Shock of Lightning Earrings" Nice I finally get a visit but I already have this item.
I don't do netflix though it would be nice but the idea wouldn't go well around here. The idea paying eight dollars a month isn't something my parents would consider ok. And I'm just to busy to watch now.
I had seen several episodes of Supernatural but I got freaked out by it so I never went back. Though I can't watch horror or horror type shows since they affect me really badly.
Season 12! It's two years more than I thought! :D I don't know why I didn't watch it from the start, it always looks like my sort of thing. But I have so much waiting to be watched already.
that's cool about synchronized watching. I used to do that with some of my neofriends and now also with friends on subeta (though not for about a year now). It's fun to watch and chat with online friends.
I recently got a roku, to access some of these other channels. There are so many free ones out there too. But, we mainly use it for Netflix - it works a lot better on roku than it does on wii. It always used to freeze up and loose the signal through wii.
[edit] Oh, and I like Supernatural too, but fell behind at one point. Every now and then I watch a few episodes, but I have no idea what season I'm on. 9 or 10 I think.
Crazy that there are 12 seasons! I'm on season 11. I'll catch up on netflix. They'll probably release season 12 on netlifx right before season 13 starts on CW...I will be binge watching! I love those kinds of shows.

Just a couple things to brighten your day, and to help you get ready for the holiday. (Psst, don't dismay ... there's more on the way.) ~Your PS Secret Santa (who is obviously not a poet)
Thank you so much for the festive items, SS!! And I thought the rhyme was cute! Don't sell yourself short!
I have Hulu Plus, netflix and cbs all access Much cheaper than the 90 a month I was paying for cable. I also get HBO now when Game of Thrones is on then cancel til the next season. I like CBS all access because any show they ever produced is available and my husband has watched 382 episodes of macgyver lol.
Ugh I woke up at 3:45! There's no point in going back to sleep. I forgot my phone at work yesterday, which has my alarm attached. Hubby has his old phone so I'm using that as the alarm, but the clock says it's 4:45 (which is what my alarm was set for) but it's actually 3:45. I suppose I'll take advantage of the time before going to work to do questing since I won't have much time this weekend.

LMAO right there with ya! Never seen an episode!
Ugh, that sucks Manda! So early!! I've slept in the past 3 days! I'm gonna have a hard time going back to work next week LOL!
I doubt we'll ever get rid of cable... hubby loves hockey and football (okay, so do I!) So unless we cancel for 2 months, it's going to stay put.
<3<3<3 Thank you so very very much to my Secret Santa! These have really made my days! <3<3<3
Edit: Haven't seen one of these in quite a while!
You notice a Cheese Shaped Like A Pie on the ground, but right when you bend down to pick it up, lizard minions come out of nowhere and scurry off with it!
Your trap springs and you spray like mad as the lizard minions escape. They will not get away this time! You place [item2=Cheese Shaped Like A Pie] into your inventory.

Yeah, we pay so much for cable. We have the sports package because Tom loves to watch like every sports talk show there is, and I have to have HBO for me. We also got a DVR for the first time like 2 years ago, and I don't want to give it up now. I do need to call to see if they'll cut me a better deal.
We've pretty much had cable since we moved to Florida, but then had nothing but issues when we bought our house so we switched to Uverse and loved it. Now we're with DirectTv mainly because they were running a bundle deal where we got free unlimited data on our phones since everything is all with AT&T now :) So far we're pretty happy with it, a bit glitchy some days and it's not weather related because it's blue skies and sunshine with little to no breeze...nothing's perfect, but we're quite content with our services at the moment. For movies and catching up on tv shows hubby uses the amazon fire box that has another program on it, allows him to watch any and all shows.
