I misread the challenge and thought we had to focus on this year's items, and I opted for the background XD While I like my lil elf that background just drew her to a much darker place than I expected.
I really have to say some of y'all have been super creative with your elf selves! :) Love it!
Alright everyone, this event has come to a close. I'll ping when the new event is up later today (afternoon-ish). For now, everyone has a gift tucked safely under their tree for participating. Thank you all for your wonderful and creative elves! 😄
I did exactly the same thing XD I made this HA then I looked at some of the other entries and was like... Wait, let me re-read the instructions real quick XD
Yay, thank you kindly!
Oops, missed the boat, but might as well share for fun anyway :)

My favourite holiday mmovie is the Grinch :D i love this movie ^^
Sure why not do them all as I'm here lol!
Favourite Holiday Movie : The Nightmare Before Christmas [sub] I am an emo cliche lol [/sub]
Favourite Holiday Song : Don't Let The Bells End - The Darkness
Favourite Holiday Memory :
For years my Nana (who is 81) had been talking about her old vinyl records. We got her a HiFi but it only played CDs, Casettes, and the radio (it also played iPods and stuff but shes 81 so lets not go there haha) but she was desperate to play her vinyl records!
So Mum and I searched high and low and found one that would play both sizes of vinyls that she had :D! Her face on christmas day was absolutely amazing ❤️!
But thats only half of my favourite memory.....
I walked her home and she asked me to set up this record player! So off I went half reading instructions, half remembering TV shows with gramophones and I put on her Buddy Holly Vinyl and O.M.G It was like he inhaled all the helium in the world, took singing lessons from Alvin and the Chipmunks, and got kicked in the privates while on LSD hahahahahaha!!!! Turns out the vinyl things have speed settings which I didnt know about hahaha!!! Nana and I couldnt even change it from laughing XD! We listened to two songs like that and I couldnt breathe laughing! Her old HiFi broke this year so I got her a new one for Christmas so lets hope nothing like that happens again hahahaahhaha
I don't blame you for being worn out, you've been on Lumi event overdrive for weeks now. Thank you for making sure we all have a good time.
My favorite Christmas song is All I want for Christmas is you. I don't need a bunch of stuff, as long as I have my loved ones I am happy ^^
As for movie I don't really have one but I like Santa Clause XD
My favorite movie is The Polar Express, I remember that when I watched I thought the animation was so on point. Even nowadays, it doesn't look like a 2004 movie, it's so beautiful <3

And for music, Karmin's cover os Sleigh Ride <3 LINK
Eeep just answered this in a different raffle. Die Hard 1988 because of Bruce Willis!
- so funny, I just finished posting my favorite movie on another thread a few minutes ago. :-)
My favorite holiday movie has to be the classic White Christmas with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye.
Which also has one of my very favorite holiday songs, Bing Crosby singing the title song White Christmas.
My favorite short film is Hardrock, Coco & Joe. I used to watch this every year as a child. Even today, Joe brings a smile.
I've shared both the song and the short film with you before, but maybe some of the other participants here might enjoy them.
My favorite holiday memory for this time of year is lighting the Chanukah candles in our family. We would gather together and take turns picking the color for each candle. Then turn off the lights and chant the blessings while the menorah was lit. And, finally, just take a few minutes to look and enjoy the colorful, burning candles.
Wishing everyone a joyous holiday season and a Happy Luminaire.
Before Lumi becomes a chore It's best to wrap things up You sure deserve a little break And big hot choccy cup!
And so, once more, I offer thanks For all the work you've done We all enjoyed the contest here Thanks for sharing the fun!
Film: joins in Gothic glories Nightmare Before Christmas all the way!
Music & Memory:
My mum has an original 1950s copy of Brenda Lee's "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree", a vinyl single.
Out with the vintage record player, crackling sound of Christmas!
The Santa Clause is my fave! I absolutely love Tim Allen in it.

Alrighty since I can't pick music or movie (most Christmas music drives me BANANAS now because of how much its abused, and I haven't watched a Christmas movie since I was...11?), time to get personal. I got a pretty hilarious memory to share at least (it's a bit long).
As a preface: I'm not sure why, but I was terrified of Santa when I was little – even the ones I knew were fake (the ones that would come to school to hand out candy canes and stuff) just made me super nervous and I didn't want to be around them. I liked Santa's goodies, and I liked preparing for his 'arrival' and stuff...so long as I didn't have to see or interact with him.
So, once upon a time when I was itty bitty, my parents thought they were funny and put a stuffed Santa costume on our couch to make it look like he fell asleep there. I didn't even notice at first because one of my gifts was a Jurrasic Park raceway set set up in the middle of the living room and PRIORITIES, YA KNOW? I went to go play with it so my mom had to do a dramatic performance oh 'OH MY GOD LOOK ON THE COUCH~' so I'd turn around.
When I turned around and saw what was on the couch, I screamed and ran like my life depended on it to hide behind the couch, where my mom coaxed me into moving to the very far back bedroom of the house. There was a bit of my parents continuing their acting and 'discussing the situation' and I was just hysterically going 'WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO HE'S ON OUR COUCH OH MY GOD' for the next minute or two...then my dad decided to go up front and 'make him leave' and he went up there yelling and cussing at 'Santa' to get the hell out of our house. Now even if I was scared of Santa that was absolutely mortifying and I just stood agape thinking 'I'm never gonna get presents again because my dad is a butthole'.
While I was busy being all types of horrified my dad tossed 'Santa' into the guest bedroom and told us to come back up front because he left and it was safe. When I finally got the courage to peek around the back of the couch to see if he was gone, and indeed he was. And thus, my waning belief in Santa (I'd only been 6 or 7 and had already starting going 'this is a totally bogus hoax') was reversed, and I believed in him for several more years because of that mentally scarring experience.
When I was little, that was the most terrifying Christmas ever. Now, it's gotta be the best one I remember because it's absolutely hysterical.
