So bummer news about the possible babysitting job offer: She said she's still not 100% certain if she's taking the new job yet, but she said she would be paying me $300...a month...to work 50 hour weeks. That rounds out to about $1.50 an hour. I was honestly a little offended when Josh told me. I have an education degree for one, and for two, minimum wage here is over $8. I would really like to have a job, but I feel like that's a bit ridiculous...

I know! He had some nice stuff (a lot of which I bought for him) lol so it was funny getting it back. How was your day? :)

That is crazy that someone would want to pay you so low for your experience! I personally wouldn't do it, but I don't know your situation. Doesn't seem like it's worth your time. You'd be better off dumpster diving and selling your finds on ebay (super fun to do in the summer)... But that's funny that you got most of your stuff back. Anytime I come across anything MSP on neopets, I send it to Rob. He's always wanted that type of poogle, haha.

Yeahhh, I was pretty surprised by her offer. Long story short, my boyfriend and I are living with my mom until we can save up enough to move out, hopefully this summer. We live in a super small area, so jobs are hard to get. I haven't been able to get one since August, so the money would be nice, but ehhh. I used to tutor the son of a lady Josh (my boyfriend) works with. He's 9 and homeschooled. She might be getting a new job, and if she does she wanted to hire me to be a babysitter for him and her other 2 year old son.

Yesss I used to really like the MSP poogles, also! I never had one, though. My favorite was always the mutant draik because they looked more like real, intimidating dragons.

Yup! I'm not super active because I don't do RP like at all. But I like the HA challenges and the games :D And I did SS during luminaire with them.

Yeah, I find it hard to sell CWs on boards. I've had some items I've been trying to sell for... A year? I end up pawning about half of them. Unless they're recent hard to find items. Yeah they did. But they said the hustler would be giving out some of the items that they 'retired' from the pawn shop. And I don't know what happened to that.

To be fair, I don't buy from the pawn shop super often, because I find you can get better deals of users on boards. Since the pawn shop gives you so little for a CW most people will prefer to sell it to you than the pawn shop anyways.

But she said she has family who has offered to watch them, but she would rather have me. I assume her family would do it for free, though.

Ooooh, that sucks. The economy is poop right now, and being in a small area must be tough. Have you guys thought about moving to a new area? I currently live with Rob and his dad, so I feel ya. It's pretty annoying, but we just can't afford to be on our own right now. Rob is finishing his last year at a university, so hopefully he can get a good job when he graduates. Dumpster diving is so much fun! The only place I've ever found glass is like, furniture shops. I've found a lot of good stuff at clothing shops, beauty stores, and dollar stores. You'd be surprised what stores throw away! I read that it's easier for them to write something off as a loss on their taxes than to donate it, so they pretend it's broken and throw it away.

YES, very excited for the weekend. This week has a been a tough one for me, so I'm looking forward to locking myself in my room and not coming out for a few days. If I don't, I might go crazy. Just have to get through work today and tomorrow, then I'm free! How about you, any plans for this weekend?

Yuck, the flu is awful, but it's been going around. Hopefully you have a quick recovery. I had it right before Christmas and it lasted a week and a half, miserable.. haha, but I'm alive and well now!

It really is tough! We actually have plans to move to a bigger city about an hour and a half from here this summer. We'll be getting a place with my best friend from high school and her girlfriend. Having 4 of us in a two bedroom place will definitely help with costs. And where Josh and I don't drive, having public transport will be great. I've never used it before, so we'll have to get the hang of it lol Oh that sounds great! Are you allowed to go through their dumpsters? When I worked at Goodwill, we had to run people out of the dumpsters because of safety reasons.

Oh! I hope your family is doing well. ^_^ The weather dropped down to about 40 degrees today, but it still feels nice. I kind of want snow, but I also don't want the roads to get slippery.

Ick! My brother-in-law was sick over christmas and gave me his cold.. and I kicked that like two weeks ago then I get the flu now! It's the worst! Oh well.
