ok, I've been refreshing the main page for over an hour, and there's still no alert to say you'd replied (even though you already had when I started refreshing the page o.O)
It looks perfect (and wouldn't be anywhere near as good without those skulls) ;)
I think I'd have jumped about 8 feet into the air if a dog suddenly appeared in the garden like that! Do you get lots of strays around there as well as the feral cats?
That must've been a nightmare with the tornado watch - hopefully there weren't any, but trying to keep the animals in a safe place (especially when there's going to be one that doesn't co-operate) doesn't sound all that easy!
A flying-type beetle, or one of those horrible things that just scuttles across the floor?

I hope so! We might be able to get some screen today. :D I am sorry to hear that you have so much trouble with the deer! There are lots if them in our area, but our yard is fenced in, so at least they aren't bothering our plants. Yes, my HA is also hopeful that it will warm up like it should soon. It has been rather chilly this week! I like your HA today too, is Paddy getting ready for Vesnali? xD
It sounds like your granddad does have a lot of work coming up to build his strength and confidence. I hope he reaches the goal of the corner shop soon so he can feel confident and independent again. c:
It does sound like that fox definitely earned the foods! lol I am sorry for the mess though, I know someone had to clean it!
your HA is so cleverly put together, I love it!

I really really extremely want: ugh that's really annoying. I'm still wanting live alerts back too
-giggles- the skulls are my fav part. Like yep, i ate them... -glares- whatcha gonna do about it?
yeah lol gave me a bit of a go--I mean it was 3am in the morning after all.
it was actually a warning. (i so meant to say warning). The funnel cloud came near the house.
It so wasn't fun lol. My foot is really hurting >.<
a nasty 5cm inch long flying beetle that mostly scuttles. Called Palmeto bugs. (spelling?)
cute bunny wolf ha XD
aww thank you. I was totally stuck on ideas lol.
our allotment site is fenced in, but the deer have managed to get into the neighbouring gardens, then they can jump over the short fence and get onto the allotment sites without trying to get past the main gate :P At least they don't burrow under the fence like the badgers have done in our back garden (we've given up repairing it now, as there's a badger-sized gap where it pushed one of the boards off after continually digging the rocks back out from underneath). I'm definitely ready for Vesnali! And also intrigued at the hints of a Subetan wedding as well :D
apparently after the operation he had, the average recovery time to be 'back to normal' is about 6 months.... and as he's older (85 this year), possibly that would be slightly longer. He was thinking more like 6 weeks, so he's not too impressed right now! hehe I didn't mind the mess, as I didn't have to clear it up laughs I think the fox and badger must have young at the moment, as they were both in the street last night, snuffling through the gardens. I might put a couple of apples in the front garden for them over the weekend (the deer go for those too, but I haven't seen any deer about for a while, so I guess they can find enough food in the nearby fields at the moment), just so they can find something edible ;)
whoa, that's an impressive dragon outfit from Paul today! 😮 Is he trying to look like that baby dragon's mother? ;) hehe Sparky's trying to perfect that look when Mum complains about the mess he made with his carrot :P I think I would've been terrified with the funnel cloud being that close! Spotting that one last year in the distance was near enough for me! hands over some soothing cream for your foot, and a mug of hot chocolate google searches that beetle Eep, I can see why you wanted to avoid the bathroom with that in there! Does Lucy chase beetles like that, or does she just stick to getting rid of spiders? ;)

Oh man, 6 months is a long time. I feel bad for him due to the length that he was anticipating. hugs him
It sounds really cute to give the fox and badger an apple, I hope they don't ruin the garden though, especially after fruit/veggies begin maturing.

I really really extremely want:nods I don't know if anyone at the hospital actually told him a timescale (and he maybe just ignored it) before they discharged him. At the moment, he has two people to get him up, help him wash & dress, and get him down the stairs each morning, and then two people again for bed time to get him back up the stairs, wash and change into his pjs. But the morning team actually helped strip the bedding off the bed & put the clean sheets on yesterday morning, which was a bonus for Gran, as she can't cope with doing that by herself.
We don't have a large enough garden for any fruit trees - in fact, I've never figured out what the appeal is of our back garden for badgers and foxes other than a bird bath full of water they can drink! But apart from the badger digging up the grass in the autumn for grubs, and the damage to the fence, they seem to leave things alone pretty much ;)

That is interesting that they leave the garden pretty much alone. They probably hunt for critters that enjoy the garden as well, like rodents and the like. Often they just pass through, but sometimes they linger. In my garden we had frogs, a turtle (sadly the turtle died from a freeze), and an unwelcome raccoon who ate all my fish, and lots of birds. We also had unwelcome rodents who were clever and ate the beet roots from the side, while leaving the greens intact. So I didn't realize that they were being eaten until the majority of the root had disappeared. A few rat traps solved the problem though. We don't have badgers or foxes brave enough to run around out where I live though due to the coyotes that roam freely and the occasional mountain lion(puma).
I am glad that there are a few people who come to help out with the difficult tasks for both your grandparents. ^.^ I ma sure it takes a lot of stress away from the family to have the help.

I really really extremely want:Aww thank you <3 lol I wouldn’t put it passed him. He really wants a dragon. A friend suggested since he’s blond he’d probly transform into a golden dragon if he were an animagus, so theres his dragon form lol. Of course where he an animagus he’d probly change into a phoenix because that’s his patronus.
Romlao that’s excellent. I take it he’s doing a good job? xD
I was half worried, half trying to figure out how to get the animals safe. Had to pull Baxter out from under the sofa and lol Lucy killed my foot. Seriously been hurting so bad I’ve had problems walking :/ Haha see why I didn’t post it. Blech. She totally does. The other cats are too good for the big beetles.
how i love the blending with the bg today. :o almost didn't see the raven there and the yellows in her shirt match so well
That sounds really tasty actually. :D Fingers crossed they will grow well. :D More nice weather for us today... so we sat out in the garden today when my mum visited. :)
Very pretty colours on todays HA. Love :D

unfortunately the local rat and mouse population learnt they could love in the attic spaces of the houses and not need to go outside, so the badgers don't get to eat many of those! Aww at the racoon - that sounds like it'd be challenging to try and deter that :( 😮 I don't think I'd be brave enough to be out where you are, with coyotes and pumas about!
I never understood how a patronus would be the same as a wizard's animagus form :P But that'd be a brilliant animagus look for Paul ;) hehe the carrot gets all over the cage, over my shoes and up the wallpaper :P At least Lucy earns her keep as chief big-bug-killer ;) Hopefully your foot will ease off a bit today - I guess she got it right across the top, just where it's most sensitive? Thanks :D I added the raven in at the last minute laughs
that's great on the weather! :D Ours still thinks it's the middle of winter, with the grey skies and cold breeze :P Hopefully though those strawberry plants will arrive soon, so they can get growing, as the ones on the allotment are starting to get the fruits forming now :D

Roof rats are pesky little critters, but fairly intelligent (as most rodents are). It was an interesting struggle to get rid of the raccoon because they are protected in my state, a fact that is insane considering their high number. shrug I have a commercial pesticide licence though so I know how to get rid of most unwanted pests with many different means (chemical and non-chemical).
The coyotes and pumas are only a real issue in the early mornings and evenings. My dog was attacked by a coyote about this time last year while in the backyard at night. Now the dogs sleep indoors on all nights to avoid that from happening again.

I really really extremely want:Oh no! Our fence is too high for the deer to jump, but we get other pesky smaller things like the squirrels and chipmunks that can either go under the fence or climb over it. xD The burrowing badgers must be frustrating. =X We get groundhogs in our area that do that. I can't wait for Vesnali either! Ooo, yes a Subetan wedding does sound interesting. o: I am loving your blue and gold HA today, and of course your raven. ;)
I love the yellow/gold HA today, and the dragon!
Well from my understanding they both are basically the representation of the person. But if their patronus shifts and they have already become an animagus then it wouldn't shift to the new one. -snickers- He likes his carrot then huh? xD yep that's exactly where she got. It was easier to walk today, which was good as I wanted to get out of the house. Bought some books. live is better with a raven -snickers-
aw thank you. Friend of mine made the suggestion xD Very purple and sparlikly today. Are those your wings? did they get approved?
It was a good suggestion, and you did an amazing job with it! :D Oh no, I still have not heard back on my wings yet. =X I think that CWs are getting held up a bit, what with Vesnali on the way. The wings I am wearing are some of my favorites, though! They are the .
I cant wait until the strawberry season is here, we get the best strawberries here, when you get to buy them fresh from the farms. :)
:fingers crossed that your plants will arrive soon:
How are we? xD

that stinks that they're protected! But at least you're able to get rid of most of the pests about ;) I bet the dogs are happier being indoors overnight ;) Do they stand at the window and bark at any wildlife outside?
I'm sure the squirrels take any fence as a challenge to climb over ;) Since we left the board off the fence, the badger hasn't made any new holes, so I guess it can easily get from one garden to another now ;) Thanks :D I thought I'd have a go at colour matching the background, and it needed something on the shoulders, hence the raven laughs ;)
that makes sense I guess - I just thought it seemed a bit lazy of JK Rowling to use the same animal for both :P nods I think that's an understatement ;) He's started chirping when the carrot's being peeled and chopped now ;) Books are always good :D Which ones did you end up getting? ;)
When does strawberry season start over there? We have a lot of 'pick your own' farms over here, which grow loads of different kinds of fruit (mostly strawberries and raspberries) ;) The homegrown / farm grown ones taste so much better than the stuff you can buy from the supermarket ;)
