our modem has a blue light, so it's quite noticeable on that one - if you look straight at it, then turn your head, the light seems to move :P nods RP-Paddy doesn't mind the cold as long as it's not too wet :P Niamh's wearing the but she's layered it over the as she was moaning her arms were cold :P

Whoa, that was definitely a lot of snow! I think the most snow we've had was probably 3 or 4 inches, but usually less than a cm is what we'd get ;) Although even that tends to make the roads grind to a halt (and the busses stop doing the steep hills on our routes), as nobody's really used to snow over here :P

I'll keep an eye out for them :D squishes Hopefully yours has arrived safely (think it should've arrived by now) :D Put it this way, I'm over the wardrobe limit there, and still have a load of stuff in my sdb as well :P

Yeah, when it's wet the cold is harder to handle. =X Ooo, very nice layering! It looks great, I hope her arms aren't cold anymore. xD Wow, I hadn't considered that, I just assumed you got around the same amount of snow as we did. xD At least that means you probably don't have to deal with snow shoveling much, which is good. ;) I have friends who live in the Southern states and their situation is similar to yours. If they get a few inches of snow, everyone freaks out and everything shuts down. My one friend from Georgia said the city of Atlanta has only 2 snow plows, and that those plows have to take care of any nearby cities as well. x.x That blizzard we had wasn't normal for us either, but it's pretty common to get at least a foot of snow here during a snowstorm. ;)

Aww, that must be difficult, not being able to use pain killers. q.q Thanks! I was pretty thrilled. :D I forgot to ask, did you get snow the other day? I know some of my friends in Athens, GA were talking about the snow that they got. ;) It's unusual for you guys to get snow. 😮 Most of ours melted already, we only got about 4 inches.

also, the wet soaks into her fur :P nods although we live on quite a steep hill, so even if it's just icy we need to put grit on the road (we live in a no-through-road, so the council provide a grit bin (and the grit) seeing as the hill is so steep.... it's down to the residents to put some grit on the road when it gets icy :P)

The last time we had snow on the roads, they even used a tractor as a makeshift snowplow around here :P (their proper gritters & plows were on the main roads)

Oh yeah, even worse! Frozen fur sounds awful. =X Yikes! Ice can get scary, especially in hilly areas. It stinks that they don't have someone to do it for you. =( When I lived with my parents, our house was on a hill. Luckily for us, our road was a snow emergency route, meaning that it was one of the first streets to be plowed and salted. ;) Oh wow, I bet that was interesting! xD How well did the tractor work for that?

the tractor seemed to work surprisingly well! These photos were from 2010 (couldn't find any decent pics from 2013)....

hehe I think I'd just be in awe that a unicorn had stood so close! ;) That's good that it's starting to feel more 'normal' squishes Thanks :D The background worked a lot better than I thought it would! :P I had a feeling you'd seen those before - the right-hand side of the first pic (just down from that red car) is actually open grass, but there were cars parked up on it one year, as the road was so slippery they just abandoned the cars on the snow-covered grass o.O

Just got home from my walk. It looked like a postcard by the lake.. everything covered in snow. :) Til it now started raining and everyhing is gonna freeze to ice and make walking a chore. :P

That's taking it's time! According to the post office, that was meant to be 3 - 5 working days o.O (it was posted on Nov 29th, so that should've arrived by Wednesday 6th....). flings a Meepit at the postman to get him to deliver it faster

Apparently although they say 3-5 working days, they actually give themselves 20 working days after that for it still to arrive o.O

okay lol you do have a point there :P I did two errands and its kinda hurting now, so will have to rest it and hope it calms down. I don't want to overdo.
