it didn't take long, thankfully - the worst bit was not having a clue why it was frozen in the first place (they don't give any reasons now) - I figured it was frozen for protection, simply because there were no warnings or anythig when I got the account back ;) Yeah, I think they stopped stocking them in most places a while ago.... but they kept saying the new design cards would be "coming soon" to some shops - never seen them :P

Awwww Snidget looks really cute! (and that's a perfect name too) :D I'm guessing Snidget is still a little young to be able to tell for sure what colour the cere will end up? (trying to avoid saying he or she laughs :P ) Snidget's colouring looks quite similar colouring to Sparky when we got him (although his green on his back has really intensified since then!)

Thanks! :D Yes, a bit young, although I did some research last night. Apparently, you can sometimes tell when they are young, as the male tends to have a more rose/purplish cere, and the female a more light blue one. I am leaning towards male, but it is still hard to tell until the bird is mature. ;) I tried to pick an ambiguous name so that it wouldn't matter if birdie ends up being male or female. xD Snidget does remind me of the pictures you sent me of Sparky! I was thinking that when I spotted the budgies. :D That just means the Sparky CW will work even better for me, now. ;) I also got that basketball toy you got for Sparky, since he liked it so much. :D So far Snidget has been more interested in the hanging toy I got, but it hasn't even been a day yet. ;) Niamh looks nice in the new outfit today, I see she is getting better at changing her hair color, too. :D Looks like one of her kitties got into the lights. xD

That's also why we went with Sparky (Bertie the budgie - the one we had before Sid, was actually most likely a female :P) laughs I was going to get those 5 rings for Sparky (as Sid enjoyed them), but I was a bit worried he'd try climbing through them and get stuck! Hopefully Snidget likes the basketball toy :D

Yeah, Sparky could work for either. ;) I like the name Bertie for a budgie, though, that's great alliteration. xD My chickens and my parrotlet were the only birds I have that I actually knew were female when I got them. xD Knowing definitely makes naming easier, haha! My husband named the cockatiel after Phil Collins, and then we found out later that she was a girl. 😂 So she is Phyllis now. ;) Aww, that would be scary if he got stuck! I think you made a good choice. I will let you know how Snidget ends up liking the basketball toy. :D

the only reason we went with Bertie was because of Bertie Bassett (the liquorice allsort mascot) because Bertie was all-sorts of colours :P (don't have any photos of Bertie though :() ROFL at least Phil was easy to change over ;)

Ooo, that's good reasoning. ;) I love liquorice allsorts! Sometimes you can find them here in the states, but my grandparents used to bring them back for me when they went on trips to visit family in the UK. It's a shame you don't have any photos of Bertie. =( Yes. 😂 I warned him about choosing a gender specific name, but oh well. xD It worked out okay in the end, hehe.

Snidget is doing well, been exploring the cage and already found all of the hidden millet sprigs. xD I will wait a few days for Snidget to settle in before trying to handle him(?) I think him, but not sure yet. xD It is hard not knowing which pronouns to use, lol. Baby budgies are more difficult to determine. ;)

although I think if Cheep Cheep really understood his name, he'd have been even more embarrassed :P

I still have no idea which of Niamh's cats is Lick and which is Rish :P heads over to the rp

I think Cheep Cheep is a cute name. :D I'm not sure if Pretty Bird would be embarrassed by his name (he used to say it), but I find it embarrassing now. xD

laughs Well Cheep Cheep, Bertie and Sid were taught "who's a pretty boy then" followed either by a kiss, or a wolf whistle 😇 Pretty Bird is still a good name nods it's still better than if you had a really butch looking dog, and called it "cuddles" (although that would make for an interesting conversation starter!) ;)

Mum keeps thinking it's me that's whistling, when it's actually Sparky - he's picked up the exact pitch and volume of my whistles (I tend to whistle loud :P)

Aww, that's adorable! Your budgies were all great talkers. :D Haha, that sounds like something my husband would do, only the other way around. xD He wanted to name my new budgie something really intimidating, because Snidget is so small and cute. I said "my bird, so I get to decide the name," though. ;)

Clever Sparky! Disco is pretty good at copying my whistle too, and Phyllis' call. It has gotten to where I can't tell which one of them is whistling unless I go in there, hehe. He also talks to the cat through the door, it's too funny! He meows and everything. 😂
