Hahaha, it does burn the retinas a bit. ;) Oh neat! I had an archaeology class at my university which I really enjoyed. We didn't go out to any sites, though. The actual archaeology majors got to go out and do digs. I just took the class for fun since I majored in art. xD

This course was part of the 'adult learning' course selection - it was at the university, but they were short courses (only about 6-8 weeks each I think), so you had to take (and pass) multiple courses to get the certificate at the end. The first one I did was the Romans, so we had a weekend on a local archaeological site where we got incvolved with digging & recording the finds (that was really good fun), then the second was Stonehenge, so that was more of a touristy trip there. It still was interesting though :D That's a shame you weren't able to head out on a dig though :(

That sounds like a really neat course! It's great that you got to dig, that's so cool. :D Yeah, my course was only an intro to Archaeology, so we didn't do anything super exciting. xD The students who had it as a focus got to do digs, though. One of my friends majored in it, and she got to go on some pretty cool digs. I still really enjoyed the class though, and I got top marks. ;)

we were lucky that the course was run by someone from the local archaeological society - they had a dig about 20 miles away from the university, so that's where we had our weekend ;) That's impressive to get top marks! :D

nods they were in the process of uncovering the remains of a Roman "villa" (not the really opulent one, more like a farm cottage style :P), so there were some really good parts to the site that we could get involved with :D And the geophysics survey of the neighbouring fields too, although we didn't really find anything in those :P Thanks :D We've got the last day of the heatwave today (30C - much hotter than we normally get in June), so I thought I'd send Paddy to the beach for the day ;) I love all the purple in your outfit today - what's the background item you've used to get the cut out?
