laughs we weren't even allowed to touch the sword blade - not because it was sharp (they were all blunt :P), but because the oils on human skin can interact with the metal (or something daft) so they had to be polished if we touched the blade o.O YouTube link to a sword dance - ironically though, for someone who did Scottish and Highland dancing, I actually don't like the sound of bagpipes :P Thanks :D I thought I'd try and make the colours stand out against the grey background :D How come Bart looks so elf-like today?

and speaking of matching clothing, your pastelly pink outfit goes brilliantly with the background (especially with the foreground to tone the brightness down) :D

Bart's actually half elf. This is his natural look. He magicked the beard and changed his hair colour. In an Rp I'm doing with a friend his magic basically couldn't keep the appearance up because he was overwhelmed by the sorrow in the land. It wasn't being used and was sad. They planted some seeds and its now happy. But in the wiz world they didn't want elves so he's "fey"plus he's used to looking more human so he's not thrilled in his natural state right now. Yay elves. He'll get more comfy, sooner or later. but so happy you knew who it was

hehe she's not quite wearing the 'right' highland outfit (this one is just a Scottish Country Dancing outfit.... well, with the male shoes, seeing as I couldn't find the red shoes that lace up the correct way :P - I didn't have the patience to find the right sort for Highland :P) ;)

[edit] Here you go - the more accurate Highland dancing outfit (when we did our Highland demonstrations, we borrowed the outfits from the instructors - I was just pleased it meant I didn't have to wear the starched white dresses the girls in the regular Scottish Country dancing group had to wear (with the tartan sash like RP-Paddy is wearing) :P Only the ones who were classed as 'skilled' got to join the Highland class so we stood out from the others in the demonstrations as we were wearing a totally different outfit :P) Private Outfit

Or ask them what they would do if it were their hair, totally never done that. xD

I finally got a photo done laughs ^ the outside is the same fabric as the angled pocket on the left, and I cheated with the inside of the folder pocket on the right - that's a plain cream, seeing as you don't actually see that bit :P

laughs well someone has to cheat, right? 😇 You weren't allowed to sit down in the white starched dresses until after the demonstration (as that'd make them crease like crazy).... but as the highland outfit was a kilt, we could sit down whenever we wanted beforehand :P Just ignore the fact that RP-Paddy's shoes are called Irish Ghillies.... and imagine they're Highland shoes (effectively it's the same look :P)

the instructor was a perfectionist, so we weren't allowed to do the annual demonstration unless we had it 'just so' ;) Paddy isn't too confident with the swords though laughs she kept asking for a wooden training sword instead :P
