Nope, it'll be sweater and jacket weather in Taos mid-October, so it'll be cooler then where we live now. It'll be fun taking a shower outdoors though because the lady who has the Airbnb has her shower building apart from the guest house lol.

On top of the bronchitis I’ve had now for a week and a half, I developed infectious gastroenteritis on Saturday and I’ve stayed home for the last four days. I’m staying home again tomorrow. Hopefully I can go to work on Thursday

: journey-level creatures usually stay with their hall and work for their master in partial payment for their training (my training was prepaid by my family so I didn’t have a debt to pay off). They also gain skills that lead to passing their journey-level II exams. At journey-level II they can open their own shop or become a foreman in the hall. At journey-level III a crafts-creature can sponsor apprentices for the hall which pays for their training, but also allows the Journey-level III shop-keeper to have that apprentice in his shop to do work.

We have a barter system, yes and it is a very good one. While most of the commerce is done from door to door in the villages, the social highlight of the week is Market Day. Many vendors bring their best wares to Market Rock for the day, set up little stalls under the forrest canopy and enjoy the fellowship, gossip, and dealmaking. Later in the evening, there is a big dance down in the Burrow Inn, the massive underground meeting hall of the Woodland Council. Most who go to the dance, sleep over on the floors with their families and head home in the morning to their homes and shops.

All in all, we have a very lively market economy based on agriculture, trades, crafts and services, a fairly representative parliamentary government overseen by a queen, and are pretty well domesticated. It's not at all unlike your method of doing things, perhaps a little less formal, but there are upsides and down sides to both ways.

The gold badge on my habit is almost as big as my face. It's like wearing a shield. It's nice, but it was made for the long line of succession of Badgers who held the position of Master Healer for over 100 years. Nobody ever expected a little weasel to become master. Or queen.

You know, I heard it gets cold in NM but have only been there in August and it was so hot that if you went swimming and hung up your trunks they were bone dry inside of 15 minutes, it is a beautiful state, though hot or cold and the Navajo are a very interesting tribe. A traditional Navajo most likely will not shake hands with a stranger or acquaintance because of the risk of the stranger being a skinchanger
