powdered eggs?

It's true, generally we're good fold but we can be crafty when needed. Never underestimate the power of a Bard!

I fixed a really good (what i thought) salmon, dish. but i tell you, i know it's super for the bod, but every time i fix it, i just don't seem to like it. and i can't get the taste of the fish out of my mouth. lol I Even Ate CHOCOLATE (kisses) and i STILL have "fish mouth" lol

the doctor recommended them to the hub. so we tried some. they;re ICKY SPIT Not Good eggs. heh. we've never had them but that 1 time.

PLUS a Lot of times, the hub will bring home FRESH eggs from his sisters. and man. those brown eggs are YELLOW Yolk. (they eat up her marigolds) so they are really gold. and they're HUGE (the poor Chickens! lol i don't know who they lay those HUGE eggs!)

, : OK, icky crawly bug story time...

This last week I went camping with my Author and his family. We stayed in a very very rustic cabin. One night, I was curled up with Welly, laying on my right side on top of our bed in my nighty, it was too hot for covers.

Suddenly, I felt something crawl along the back of my right arm and I got the creeps and flailed at it with no idea if I got it.

Next thing I know, there is something crawling on my left forearm and I catch a glimpse of it in the moonlight, it was one of those brown cockroaches CRAWLING ON MY ARM! I flicked it off with a thumb.

It sailed up into the air, arched back down and landed on my leg! I am completely freaked out. Welly stirs and asks me if I'm going to name my new pet now and suggests I call it Reggie.

Then two nights ago, back home in my comfortable bed, I fall asleep while Welly was reading in bed. At about 4:00AM I felt something ON MY BACK! Thinking that Reggie had managed to make it home from camp, I flailed and swatted and flailed and couldn't get it off my back. Welly woke up and said, "Oh, that's where my Post-it Note went." He calmly pealed the little red Post-it Note off my back and stuck it back into his book. I felt like an idiot.

That it happened again this morning, with a little green Post-it Note stuck to my arm made me believe that Weldon St. George was having a lot of fun at the expense his sweet, innocent fuzzy little mate's dignity. It won't be so funny when he goes to brush his fangs with the alum I put in his baking soda tooth powder.

OK, So Witchy. Next time you make salmon, do this.

1. Purchase your fish as fresh as you can from a fish market. Ask to smell it. If you can smell fish, pass. Get hamburger instead and have a barbecue. You live in VA? There should be some good sources of daily caught fish in your area, I'm sure. I don't know about salmon though. (Dockside or Welton's in Virginia Beach?)
2. Take it home and marinate the salmon in lemon juice ( the kind in the bottle is fine ) for 30-60 minutes. This denatures the fish protein and improves the flavor ( and smell )
3. Take the fish from the lemon juice and cover the fish in kosher salt and sugar for an 30-60 ( this draws out extra moisture, it's called dry brining. It is sushi trick that firms up the fish for better cooking )
4. Rinse off the salt in ice water and cook the way you usually do. Welly sometimes grills salmon steaks, or bakes a whole salmon. I have seem him use a foil pouch with onions, dill and lemon slices on top of the salmon too.

Salmon and trout can be fishy, but not if cooked right after catching. The trout we had last week was less then an hour out of the creek when we pan fried it in olive oil. The "nose test" at the market is the best way of getting fresh salmon. Flash frozen salmon that is processed on the boat is OK too. Check the processing date.

Fresh eggs! I want to see a picture of them and no idea how hens can lay huge eggs.

Oh roaches are the worst and that's not nice of Welly, to do that. I'd punch him in the arm lol. I sometimes have phantom movements when I'm laying down and I still try to shoo the invisible bugs away. I think our brains like to play tricks on us too.

: I play so many mean tricks on Weldon, he is so much fun to tease, and of course he is the world's greatest sport. It's how we flirt and play. He rarely tricks me, but when he does, it's subtle and psychologically rewarding for him. I usually end up looking like a doofus and it's my own dang fault for being such a ninny. His jokes usually involve some lame irrational fear of mine that he exploits, like my irrational fear of cockroaches and crickets. Some day, when I am able to ( I'm shuddering about it now just remembering it ) I shall tell you the prank he pulled with the cricket. ( CRAP!! I just had a collective case of the willies! )

I can handle strange, being as I'm the mayor of Crazy town and whatnot :p

and OMG I'm So Embarrassed! SOME ONE came on my porch last night, AND FED MY CAT!!!

seriously. I found a bowl (nice tuperware) full of cat food, sitting on the porch. STUPID CAT HAS PLENTY OF FOOD! she's just to stupid to go down to the shed (and in through the dog/kitty door) to get her food!

I'm really embarrassed that the neighbor thought my cat needed to be fed. :( I wonder if she wasn't next door eating THEIR cats food? when the man gets home, i'm going to make him walk to both neighbors, and see if it's their bowl, and EXPLAIN to them, the Cat HAS food. but thanks any way.

still. feel embarrassed. heh.

and, who is it that loves backgrounds? i forget.... BUT DONT WE HAVE A CARNIVAL BACKGROUND? i need something to wear for "Festival" the only thing i'm coming up with is the damsel in distress bkgd, and the ferris wheel/beach one.

I do that also. heh. usually when i have csc burning a hole in my pocket i'm like "mmmm, wonder if i can find..." and i'll go through my list and see what might be there. I have found a couple CW's that way. plus it helps me with the subeautique stuff. if there not a "wishlist" symbol, then i know i already have it. heh. i just have to be careful, because sometimes i miss an outfit, and don't realize that i DO need it.

I overspent my csc, slotting on things and all of that this last time I bought, . I would prob cry if I could get back all the money I've spent here for that. The wishlist box helps me sort out lots of things. I try to go through my WL often enough to remove things I am not in love with anymore

it really helps the csc, when you delete things that you're no longer in 'love' with, . grin. or if you're like me, and an "impulse buyer" :D

one of the reasons i love that some of my favorite sellers, pust there items in their shops. if i see it, love it, and then see it again a month later, THEN i'll know if i really wanted the item, and Would Wear it. heh. like that top you're wearing now. i like the style, and got a slot, but after ward, i was like "why did you do that, you Never wear Pink!" lol

I love girly things and pink is right up there! This top comes in white too, which I have on my WL. What draws me to it is I really love tops with a high neck for my HA. This was right up that alley.

There are so many things I would love to slot on but often dont have CSC. That reminds me, I need to go through my wardrobe and add more things into my shop and then bump my thread

isn't that funny, , I've always had problems with a "high neck" with my avatar. i notice that it's (I think) that i usually wear "long hair" and that interferes with the "look" of the neck. not always. but often. i do wear the duchess chocker alot. :)

and i find, now that I've gone "white" that i usually wear black/grey/red colors. heh. especially red. lol (i laugh at myself, because i grew up a real redhead, and i Very Rarely wore red in real life, i wonder if i'm getting my "fill" in now) :D

I change my HA often enough. It's about due for a change. Who knows what'll end up on her. I am adoring that lovely dress from collections. I need it!

oh yeah! , I'm hoping that i remember this month, before i spend all of my csc that i want / NEED the monthly bag! lol i've missed the last 5 months because i spent all, before i remember BAGS. lol
