plus, since i had the oven on ( ☹ no grill or smoker - still in storage) i went ahead and wrapped up the chicken strips in bacon, and stuck that to cook also. heh. lol i told him, i'm cooking every thing now, and we can live on left overs for the next 2 days. :D

I took out the roast for Eric to make later on, probably cut up some veggies and steam them and potatoes.

The closest place to the beach that I found yesterday was 500 feet, but then we'd have to share a wall and a ceiling with neighbors :( We just want a beach house to ourselves lol. Probably have to up the price with that or maybe camp right on the beach!

The crossing over the mountain is really easy. But it will get foggy really bad. It's I-64. There's always wrecks in this one section.

I'm going to take a page from the Dog Whisperer, Leilani, you coax her with treats, but you or Daddy (Eric) would have to go in with her the presense of someone she loves/trusts is usually enough and keep her at a heel while she's in the water if she acts anxious give her a pet if that doesn't work use a treat if she goes further. Labs LOVE water so pretty soon she'll be swimming without you having to be in the water but it may take time

: Hello Dear. Did you have a good weekend?

My Author took his mate Francine, his daughter and grandchildren, Weldon and moi to go pick apricots today! I had such a blast. Then we went to Simonian Farms and saw all this really cool old farm equipment and we got a flat of strawberries, a flat of boysenberries and a flat of blackberries. We are going to make jam and pies and and ice cream ( well they are, I'm staying out of the kitchen.

Then we went to Denny's and I had the bacon, sausage, ham and swiss cheese omelet. And coffee!

Later, they all barbecued shish kabobs with beef, chicken, pork ( three different kinds ), fresh corn and pork chops. The marinade on the pork chops was tequila lime chili and they were juicy and awesome. I had never had kabobs before and they were wonderful! There was Sierra Nevada Sidecar Ale, Espolon tequila, White Girl wine, and for desert, my Author made frozen custard. It's like ice cream, but it's cooked over the stove and then chilled and then put in the ice cream maker with ice and salt and it comes out all frozen! It was so creamy and smooth and soft and sweet and creamy...I said that, but it's true! There were fresh strawberries to put on it with whipped cream and nuts and chocolate and cherries and HOLY MOLY!

It's going to be a bummer to go to work tomorrow, but I only have two weeks left before I'm on Summer Holiday for eight weeks. If it is anything like this weekend....I'm looking forward to a great summer.

How was the work day yesterday? I didn't drink anything because my tummy was upset. Oh well, soon enough since the stomach is still hurting some. Probably more tea and water for now.

I already let our Empress know that I'd not be taking her spot temporarily and even knows this, so it's all yours :D
