lol, yays! Books are fabulous things~ Never trust a guy that is not only married while he gives you sweet words, but is a total ingrate, I say--and that describes Ashley to a T. If it weren't for Scarlett and Rhett, Melanie and her son would have been dead and yet he has the gall to act as if he is better than them, or knows better. There was a fanfic I read where apparently, before the war, a lot of people from the county questioned Ashley's intentions, as he was repeatedly visiting Scarlett's home to basically court her, yet planned to marry Melanie. After all, Scarlett is no fool--for her to have deep of crush on Ashley, he must have put in some effort to make her believe he was interested.

In that story, the friend that talked to her about it (to really help Scarlett put things into perspective when it came to Ashley) also said that there was a good chance what Ashley really wanted was to marry Melanie, have Scarlett married to some "respectable", possibly dull guy from their County that Scarlett wouldn't have any real feeling for.....and then have Scarlett as his Mistress. After all, no one would suspect an affair back then with both of them married, now would they? Which might be why he didn't like Rhett too much--Rhett is a passionate man that was deeply in love with Scarlett and would want to keep Scarlett's "passions" to himself. And yet Ashley was perfectly fine with Scarlett marrying her Hamilton and Kennedy--probably because there wasn't any chance of her having feelings for them.

I did have some errands but first I had a scheduled walk with some family members. It's good. We did about 3 miles. I'm working on being healthier. Had a banana when I got home just now :)

we already moved once, in october. i haven't even finished moving into/arranging every thing around THIS house. but because the rental/leasing office has not sent a maintenance guy (we've been contacting office about it, since November, and they STILL have not come) then the man is talking about moving. AGAIN. :(

(ha!! i wrote this, and i just get a message from maintenance!!! hahahaaaa... they must have finally heard me? heh. we will have to wait and see if Maint. Actually Shows Up)

now that the dogs are gone, i really REALLY do not want to have to move again. and if we do, i'm throwing every thing but what i can fit into a suitcase, away. doesn't matter what it is. i've already lost both my huge mirrors. (had TWO HUGE "sofa mirrors".... you see them in '50s' style movies, etc, they always put the mirror behind the sofa, it's almost as big/wide as the sofa) Very Expensive (especially now a days)

also. he STILL has my rug in the shed, with the bugs burrowing in it. :( my mom bought me that rug. one of those 400/500 dollar high end area rug. :(

Thank you for clarifying that, I kind of just skim most generalized stuff, I've been in both situations (yours and Lady Love's), not having internet can be really frustrating, but once you get over it it can be almost liberating as far as getting you away lol hiking, exploring the town (and not just to the library or nearest internet cafe)
