Well...it is a revamped one. So even though it is the "same" it is completely different in art style and was changed a little to make it a different item. But I had to hop on board with it. The book I got is "Uprooted" by Naomi Novik. Sounded interesting so couldn't pass it up. I have a lot of stuff I need to read. sigh And there's a few books I need to finish reading. googles Hearst Castle Ooo...that looks cook! We get tourists here because of the Blue Ridge parkway and Skyline Drive. Then there's also Swannanoa Palace. But Staunton (the U is silent so it is pronounced Stan-ton. You can tell who aren't locals based on if they pronounce the U or not. XD ) gets more tourists because they are more set up with it because of downtown. The American Shakespeare Center is there too. And the Frontier Culture Museum. And you never know what language a person is going to speak because EVERYONE comes here.

Luckily I have an awesome insurance company so far. They are not responsible for how my evaluation turns out however. They just ask the Medical Service to go and visit me and write them a report. I did receive their acknowledgement of me contesting the last evaluation and now they will recheck with the Medical Service they say. So hopefully that means there will be another person coming to me and this time be more thorough.

I live near Yosemite National Park and Sequoia National Park. You all need to see those places at least once in your lifetime. This year especially with all the rain and snow...the waterfalls are magnificent.

I've been busy with my latest class of apprentice healers, I really have a mixed bag; some brilliant healer candidates and some real dull-witted ones. I am dead on my paws at the end of the day and haven't spent much time visiting.

I have about three weeks left before I go on Holiday for the Summer and they are the most busy weeks of the term and the most stressful. I will be teaching Sex-ed for adolescent wee creatures of the woodland...right.

I noticed some discussion of banks...

My author, Mark, used to bank at Wells Fargo until they lost a 2 week paycheck automatic payroll deposit and was never able to track it down. It was like $1000.00 back when $1000 was rent, a car payment and groceries for four. And there was no legal recourse at the time.
They immediately changed over to BoA, and that was like going to prison to make bodily fluid deposits, the staff was as cheery as the guy running a cesspool pump truck.

In California, there is Golden One, which was OK, it is a credit union, and they banked there for a few years until he became a teacher in the public school system. Now he banks with EECU, Educational Employees Credit Union of Central California and he is very happy there. Good rates on loans, great service, lots of ATMs all over the place, online banking that doesn't suck. If I banked, I would use a credit union like that.

Weldon and I don't use banks, so that's all I know about banking. I mean if I want to purchase something from the humans with my gold, I just dig a little of it up from the cave where it's stashed. Am I worried that it's going to get robbed? Nope! I have contracted with the local bear tribe to protect it. Just try to get within 10 miles of my gold. They smell you coming and just hunt you down...just saying.

The previous person was of the opinion that young people don't deserve as much aid as seniors. The woman I took as my advisor so I am better prepared for next time, said he is very kind to the older people but cannot wrap his head around the fact that young people too might be in need of that much aid. I am either 20 years too old or 40 too young. People my age are not expected to be in my situation.

I wish I could have a talk with that man-- certain things in life don't have a "required age". There was a friend of mine when I was in high school that was 2-3 years younger than me that needed a heart transplant. I've met children that had had numerous surgeries, including a few on their brains. Life doesn't say "Oh, you're under 50 so we'll make everything perfect for you." That being needs a reality check.
