It's tough. And to be honest, I am not a die hard vegan. Not for the past 8 years. I don't eat tons of dairy, but real, quality butter here and there, cheese for pizza and a bit of heavy cream for baking. Plus good quality eggs.

I don't have a problem with those things, though I do care about how things are raised and harvested and I feel like minimal animal products is better for long term health. So balance? I guess that's my goal. :)

I've been trying to learn "healthy" also. not so easy, when the man hates to go to the grocery store, and i have no transportation. heh. life.

i'm really hoping, now that i'm in the new house, i'll be able to at least do a 'planter pot garden' this year. i loved the summer i had basil and tomatoes and garlic growing. i felt like i ALWAYs had a meal! lol and it was one way for me to get 'fiber' (whole grain noodles etc)

i really REALLLY want to get one of those "Meyer Lemon Trees" to try to grow.

if i had one of those, that i could actually keep alive and grow lemons, then i would be set for the summer. lol

HAHAHAHAAA , i figure she had a "hang over" she had to take care of. LOL (or eric has one, and needs 'baby care') grin.

so you SAY, , I'm sure if we peeked behind those curtains, we'd fine something surprising. (did you say police behind the curtain?)

growing stuff is the best! I have a backyard garden (did horribly last year because of severe drought) and tomatoes, fresh herbs, peppers and summer squash are favorites. Easy, but with a relatively high output. and Fresh Herbs are AMAZING! I get sad when winter comes and I don't have them anymore. hehe.

Okra grows like a weed here so I usually plant that and some green beans too. We'll see what happens this year when Spring rolls around, but I'm drooling thinking about fresh basil on pizza and fresh greenbeans steamed.
