Seasoned Green Things lair! Im finally able to take a minute to wish all of you a wonderful holiday/not-a-holiday/this is my group and I'll ping if I wanna holiday greeting

It's not been easy this year, the things happening around us have been monumental as you know but the other day after stopping here I got inspired after I signed off and came up with a plan. I called some of my relatives and asked them to come for coffee. Best decision I ever made. I never would have taken a step back and thought of a solution if it hadn't talked with y'all about not being able to spend any time on the holiday season with the kids.

We all pitched in and picked up all of mini loaf pans we could get (the 4 for a buck ones, so we had a pile) and baked dozens of loaves of 'Nana bread (my specialty), various muffin loaves, pumpkin bread, cookies, pretty much anything you can make into something sweet that kids of all ages can help make and had the time of our lives making them.

My kitchen and back room are still totaled, I don't think I will ever sample another bite of 'nana bread. Along with the muffins and mini loaves were cupcakes, almond bark pretzels, and believe it or not, yours truly baked a couple pies for our thrown together gathering yesterday.

That reminds me, you know the saying "learn something new every day"? Well, during all this I learned something!

Did y'all know that it's not a good idea to estimate how much corn starch you're pouring over the top of blueberries and black berries I froze during picking season? I've never given it a single thought, all I knew was to thicken things, mix in corn starch. They were making an awful lot of juice as they thawed so that should fix it, right?

Yep.. things didnt turn out quite like I'd planned - as my not-so-little bear says, hey, sounded like a good idea at the time tho!

There was laughter filling every room for the first time in my house for what seems like a lifetime. My insane asylum wasn't the only house in on it and we took everything to the VF the next morning for wrapping things in saran wrap. Our version of "santa's little helpers" were able to send a truck load of Christmas goodies with my godfather and he made it to the camp before the storm hit.

Im editing this since it seems to vanish on me, but you get the gist of the last few days - I'm off to peek under my tree <3

Hey you two! Its a nasty day out there so the holiday was uneventful - except for the storm. The drill pad is nothing but solid ice and their machinery look like gigantic snow monsters. On the bright side, we'll know from tracks if they use the machinery so maybe now we'll catch a break from the threat of drilling. Man can we ever use that for a change!

Potions are always good to get. Always nice to get a break from work, and extra days is a real plus.

Nice that it snowed only in the fact that you can track their activity. Plus the ice on the machinery will make it hard to use or brittle metal will make them fear using it. Because the bitter cold will change the composition of the metal, therefore weakening its strength. But if their dumb enough, they damage the equipment, hence stop work.

I really need that extra time off. I am totally exhausted. My working partner shold have worked on the 25th (but he said before he did not want to work either day) so he was sick, which meant an extra shift for myself. Merry christmas and such I am so pissed of by this it's HIS christmas year - not mine

God willing you get the extra time off, turn your cell/phone off so they cant reach you.
