they are not rid of me. Just had a call. The couch is at a delivery station but is there for over a week and no one knows why it's not being shipped to me... Waithing again for info from the deliveryman...

The walkout did help. Spending for education went from 60mil to 400mil, they're implementing that over a few years. So public schools will be seeing an increase. New textbooks and building/bus repairs will be coming. Teachers are also going at district to allow support staff to use sick time or something to make up missing hours. Media coverage is saying all of our reps voted for education, but the teachers who were watching say otherwise, so I'm more likely to believe them over the media.

Two more weeks of school, but I want to be done now x) Gotta get everything ready for the trip to Yosemite! Truck needs to be looked over and get an oil change, trailer needs to be cleaned a bit and prepped, and I still gotta get the hitch onto my car. Pups also needs baths...Radar totally rolled Chance in the dirt night before last, turning Chance into a dustball. Radar was so proud of himself, lol.

OMG! My couch is turning into a soap opera... They have lost my couch, come on! How on earth can you lose a lounge couch?! The woman from the store (customer service) was not happy at all. What do you think about me, been busy for over a month now to get a new one. Pfff!!! Anyway they promised they are going to use an other delivery service and are going to send me a couch within 5 work days... Need to see it to believe it..

Not much going on here. The man the plumber suggested for the roof came yesterday. He doesn't think we need to do the whole roof - he said after telling us how poorly it was done and what a crook the man who did it originally is (which of course we've learnd now, even our plumber got taken by him once). He is supposed to call next week to set up a time to come fix stuff. Still have to find an electrician and after that a contractor that can fix the interior and paint. Mom and I are both feeling quite depressed.

I am not liking having to wait so long for Vesnali.

dad is so much better. He is walking unassisted for almost a block and mostly just uses the wheel chair as seating.

Morning all 🌹 Dad is doing better. They sent him home the next day. Didn't give him anything other than his usual diuretics to combat the fluid buildup he keeps getting around his heart and lungs and since it's happened twice already the past 2 months, I don't understand why they wouldn't give him the pill version of the stuff they give him in the hospital. Then again, he also doesn't bother to ask them about after care and what to do. :sigh:

That was a funny remark about 's couch saga being like your roof saga. So true! I can understand the house being sentimental to your family, but it doesn't seem like it's been very practical, especially if it's dragging you and your mom down. You finding anything to get into while you wait for the stuff to get fixed? Love your HA!

How have you been doing?

They're going to an open floor plan at my work instead of having cubicles. The cubicles offer privacy and cut down on loudness from group meetings (3-4 people can get rather loud). No one wants this and I don't even want to know what kind of money they're throwing into it, even to rent space at an office down the road to move people to while they work in here. Personally, I have no other onsite team members so I've requested from the upper mgmt that I get a desk back in the room where I came from. I'm not trying to sit on a bench type of table w/ a million other people around, especially those that have directly caused me grief and I certainly don't want to go to another building and deal w/ the same type of situation.
It's just not going to be a conducive environment for anyone. 😡

is your Dad not on a fluid pill at home? seems to me that his doctor would have already prescribed one for him.

The pills he's on that he calls "water pills" are his diuretics and they're mainly for his diabetes. They don't do anything for the fluid buildup he's been getting around his heart and lungs.

the only pills I take for my diabetes are just that. the water pill is for the fluid build up around heart and lungs. You should ask his doctor about that. btw, love your ha, give ya a heart

Doing ok. OMG I can't imagine going from cubicles to a big noisy open goldfish bowl of a room! Don't know how anyone will get any work done. Agree w/slippy - Cute HA and diuretics remove fluid wherever it is and should help your dad from around his heart and lungs too. Is the problem that they aren't working enough or as well as in the hospital? Some are dangerous to use for too long too, esp if the patient isn't being monitored 24/7 like in the hospital. Hope he gets better. Scary.

Sounds like this roofer will do a good job. Crossing fingers. I don't remember I'm sorry but are you and your mother planning on selling the house or keeping it? I'm sure it would be very difficult either way for different reasons.
