I think we don't usually make a thread in the Luminaire forum since it lasts for the whole month instead of just a week or two, and then the posts get deleted afterwards anyway. IDK I just don't see a reason to have a separate thread for it when we can just as easily keep chatting here and help each other with achievements and stuff (most of the Lumi achievements are things you have to do on your own anyway).
3 Dandybunnies from Donation Corner, on a roll!
Hope you enjoyed the film! I think our lot here are plotting their cinema date with the next Star Wars film around the Xmas period.
& Zombie plot! We got our classy zombie foods, next stop on the suggestions board, zombies relocating to other parts of the Subetan map trying their best to have a normal unlife. They don't even need to travel far in Subeta, theres a tunnel of trees in Shadowglen that might lead to their above ground abodes... xD
squishy hugs
Good to see you!
We're doing the Secret Santa Shark again this year, see:
HERE
if you want to join in!
A well stocked wishlist does make for easier gifting, and speaking personally, i am as happy for cheaper gifts wishlist items as the more pricey things. It's all stuff I want, after all! xD
Aww, hope you have a lovely Xmas - get the phone chargers handy, I'm sure there will be even more fun gaming things over the festive season!
Technology-behaviour permitting, I'll have to have a good try for coins next Vesnali, even with the help from there's lots more I will need to get. Well, WANT to get! Let's be honest.
xD
It'd be nice if some of the bigger achievements will be held for a year or two to allow people a chance to work towards them. Like the snowball one, that's going to be a big challenge for a lot of us, though I like the fact we can now use some previous unusable snowballs, that's helpful of staff.
Sounds a bit asthma-like there, and it's been similar for me, so I can relate. Breathing issues are not fun. Yeah, there's the threat of colder weather returning here too, plus next week I am away and I think there's an even colder spell of weather forecast there. More scarves! It's a good job I can knit...
It's actually more stressful when people say 'oh, I don't want much' or 'there's nothing I really need'. I've been telling my parents that for years so now they give in and actually give me a list! It's practical things like skin care items and food items, but that makes more sense to me - to give something useable.
Good luck choosing a nice gift for Chris. I am going personalised this year - my other half wanted a hip flask for his winter walking with friends trips, so I got one with his online name on, rather than his real name! A nod to walking and technology and drinking.
Oh, browsing is awesome, you can spark some great ideas there. I have been joking with on the Empty Tree boards about enjoying admin, but I really do like things like researching shops and checking prices and making ideas lists...
I will be out this Wednesday & Thursday and that should hopefully be most of my gift shopping done. Then it's food shop prep! Have you planned all your Festive dishes/food items yet?
Yeah, dogs do like to run. Some friends of mine have 2 dogs, and they have a workshop with some grounds - enclosed, luckily - so when they are working the dogs can still mess about and get some exercise.
You can find small offcuts of fabric for quite reasonable prices, so that's nice for the doll clothing options. Plus my niece had out grown some of her clothes and donated them as fabric for the dolls to have more clothes!
Ooh, what baked treats are you making this time round?
Well, at least that's a nice gesture to get to as many folks as you can this time round. And hopefully they'll be understanding if you can't travel - if things are local it's a bit different.
I'll keep my fingers crossed too for the tree-time! We managed to get ours done, 1 large, 1 midi and 2 small. So. Much. Tinsel.
Here's hoping for an easier week for you! Waiting around for folks to turn up takes a lot of time out of your day.
Oh, that's a shame about the shelves. You'll have to make the most of it, and choose something really suitable for your needs. Or decorate the new ones accordingly.
Tinsel Tuesday! xD
It's good that she's feeling that doggy independance!
And a coat will help.
It's worth going regularly to thrift/charity shops, that's true. You can grab bargains before other people like that! That's a good idea, trying clothing lines for less if you're not sure about them.
We've had the music channels on TV when my niece was round - it's a small rotation of songs, but it means she's learning the words! Karaoke Xmas is on the way...
Oh, goodness, that sounds awful. I get the sickness migraines - thankfully not regularly anymore, it was worst in my teens. I liken it to someone chewing the back of your eyes and then you throw up. Not good.
Ooh, best of luck with the quilting. I am still excited to see the item itself! :)
ducks 's snowballs I saw you! :p
It was pretty good :) We are so excited for Star Wars! Trying to avoid everything about it until after we see it. Not an easy task when my daughter insists on watching the Disney channel. They are really pushing the movie hard!!!
Huzzah for good films.
Oh, that's just like my other half, he skips revew sites, reddit, etc when he's trying to avoid spoilers.
Going to have to mute the TV sound on every advert and look away...
Everything big gets major advert time these days. As long as the trailer isn't the only good bits from the film, we're ok!
I know! They also need to realize that most people are going to go see it without being pushed lol! I don't need to see even a second of it to know that I am deff going :D I hate when I see a trailer and then go see the movie and realize that I have already pretty much seen the ending!
Yeah, it makes you wonder who they're trying to convert to the viewing cause - if a family is into that, they're already into it!
Oh, I watch a lot of bad horror films, and unfortunately it's a running joke that sometimes the trailers are a more concise and exciting version of the film than the film itself... Ending included. xD
That would be a fun idea for a plot, or at least some lore-related site items or NPC characters! We know that not everyone is unfriendly towards the unliving people, so it would be cool to see some of them living in other parts of Subeta and making friends and stuff.
I'm so excited for the new Star Wars as well! I really liked The Force Awakens, and although I haven't heard too much about the new one (other than seeing the trailer), I have heard that like the general consensus from the people who worked on it is that this one is even better. Can't wait to see it myself!
I'm planning on going to see the new Star Wars on Xmas eve since I have nothing else to do that day. Wearing my SW T shirt, sneakers, cap, etc. :D
CWs for Sale or Trade https://subeta.net/user_shops.php/shop/24266
I don't know exactly when I'll see it, I'll be kind of busy Christmas weekend and then IDK what I'm doing for New Year's yet so I may have to wait a few weeks. But I will see it in theaters at some point!
plops in I saw Star Wars mentioned. I cannot wait to see this movie. I will be seeing it on the 29th, my birthday. I haven't decided if I want to see it at night with just my husband or maybe watch a matinee with him & my 2 boys (7 & 9).

[item=Great White Shark]
Well I'm sure it will be fun whichever option you decide!
The trailer for it made it look really good, although of course I believe it may have been intentionally misleading in parts, but we'll see. But just in general, it looks freaking great. And apparently the higher ups were so happy with how this one turned out, they gave the director control over a brand new trilogy that will be released at some point. So that's exciting as well.
P.S. Just curious, what item is that you're wearing for your backdrop?
It's a Pine Bough from the December 2009 collection

Currently I am planning to see the new Star Wars movie on Christmas Day with some family. Should be a lot of fun.
- seriously helping to admin something useful is fun. I would likely be on the computer anyway and I like to help out.
I gave up on horror movies a long time ago. I saw Skeleton Key and I really liked it until the end. Stinkerooni!
Oooh the excitement is building!!!!
See it twice :D lol! (not very practical though :P)
I am looking forward to this one even though I know I am going to cry! I am just hoping they wont try to subject us to CGI Leia in the future. As much as I love SW I just can't support something like that :( we should all have a chance to mourn Leia like we did Carrie.
From what I understand, they're not going to be trying to do anything like that. They'll use whatever they filmed already, but I think it's been pretty much confirmed that they won't be trying to shoehorn her in with CGI or whatever.
I don't know exactly how things are going to play out in terms of the plot, but she was such a beloved character and real life person, I imagine they'll respect her as much as they can. They know it's what fans would want as well.
~ We did that For Force Awakens and Rogue One. My 9 year old son is super sensitive and we wanted to be sure he would handle both movies. He did and cried at the parts we expected. Han & K-2SO.

Well that is good to know :) I didn't know they filmed anything for the next movie yet.
I feel his pain. I cried too! Especially for Han :(
I don't think they have necessarily filmed anything for episode IX yet, but they may have decided to shuffle some scenes around or IDK. But I remember reading that they were pretty sure they weren't going to try and disrespect her memory by doing weird CG stuff.
