Vintage patterns are fabulous, I don't think I have anything as early as the 30s myself, but pretty sure I have a 40s 'utility' type skirt, made with hardly any fabric due to it being scarce.
I am shocked by how many people (of all ages, it must be said) have so little sewing skills. I know people who will throw away clothing if a button comes off! Are basic skills really that uncommon?!

You can sometimes find matching vintage yarns on ebay but of course they can charge silly money for them. Purple is always a good colour!

Lots of snow on my 3DS version, however my niece is now distracted by finding butterflies at the island and filling my house with them! I really hope her parents did get her AC for Xmas... :p

Yeah, the latest Marple series kept changing actors every few episodes! I like to watch them for the clothes and settings, but they're not my favourite. And for Hercule Poirot there is David Suchet. A perfect egg shaped detective!

Yeah, we have to experiment as we have lactose intolerant friends, coeliacs and my other half has issues with tomatoes, and when we cater for a group, you have to be food-inclusive as much as you can!

Basil is lovely, pesto is yummy too, but I'm the only one in the family who likes it. Have fun with the cookies and hope you can avoid the germs!

For New Year we are meeting up with family and making/eating a massive cheese board, with lots of little snacks.

Seriously, a Disney goof? You certainly would think they'd be a bit more together, especially at this time of year. Let's hope they make it a priority! Yeah, the postal service and be a little slow near the holidays.

I guess the problem was an old debt. For the past year I had my daughter a Tsum Tsum subscription with Disney. Every month she would get a new exclusive Tsum Tsum in the mail and my card would be billed. Went through the whole year without a problem, or so I thought. I guess way back in April there was not enough money on the card at the time of the order for the payment to go through. The Tsum Tsum was sent anyway and the invoice (which I always looked at) showed a balance due of 0, so I went on thinking everything was fine. They kept sending me Tsum Tsums every month after that without a word. Now all of a sudden they cancel my order (even though the payment went through) and suddenly have an issue that I owe them money from April. I had no idea. I had to call them to find this out and I told the lady that if they had just sent me a bill I would have paid it right then and there! I got the whole song and dance about how they tried to "reach out to me" blah blah blah! The whole thing was just unnecessary and annoying! I hate "customer service" like that! "Have a magical day!" oh screw you! lmao

Usually companies are very over-eager to make sure they TAKE the money!

Having worked customer service back in the day, I can confirm it is as awful for staff, having to stick to a script for every call, even if it sounds patronising.

Yeah those dang things are super cute! My daughter loves them and she got so excited every month. We would spend the first few days of every month trying to guess what it would be. "Thank you for calling the Disney store online. How can I make your day more magical?" lol OMG I would not be able to take that. It is even better when they sound so bored saying it!

Aw, the are certainly super sweet toys/collectables.

Just imagine having to answer a hundred calls a day, all starting with that twee greeting... Poor brave folks. ;)

Oh I hate to think of it. Normally I am very patient with those types of calls, but with Christmas barreling down on me so fast, and stressing about everything I still have to do, I was not my usual self. I didn't yell or anything, but I was deff not happy. The days are flying by so fast right now!

They must expect it though, as it is a busy and therefore stressful time of year. Deep breaths, hopefully it's over and sorted now!

How's the snow situation with you?

once it's the 24th I am fine It's just... I really feel so exhausted.

Today, after leaving work I sat in my car for 30 minutes and could not drive, since I was crying because of feeling so burned out

I haven't even tried the wardrobe yet. Kind of chicken about it lol.

I am not ready either :( it feels like I have a billion things to do and that I will never get them all done!

Still a lot of snow. Hopefully we wont get any more!

How are people liking the wardrobe, for those that have tried it? I just added a candy cane for now until I have more tine to play.
