Biology primarily, but I love computer stuff as well. I really want to learn some coding at some point but I have limited time at the moment because my boss is going on maternity leave this summer, and I'm working to learn some aspects of her job so I can help out while she's at home. I REALLY want to get my master's in computational biology/bioinformatics, but I just need time to do it lol

I work in cancer research, and I do a lot of data management which involves some of our institute-specific software which is fun to play around with and work to improve.

Big fan of nerdy sci-fi shows too (and baking shows -- it's chemistry, it counts :P). I loved the first season of The Expanse but I don't have the SyFy network at my apartment and keep forgetting to stream it online through my parents' cable account. Not enough hours in the week!

Yes, there are usually prizes for battling during events! The smaller opponents have their own prizes for beating them 5 times, but sometimes there will be community boss battles where we all work together to defeat an opponent that has like millions of HP. Prizes for that are usually determined by how much cumulative damage your pet managed to do, and also for the past few events there have been additional prizes for each pet that gets the top damage for its tier.

Those prizes for battling are also separate from the prizes for participating in the rest of the plot. So if you choose to battle or not, it doesn't affect the rest of your plot progress. It's just something extra that you can do if you want, but it's not required in order to get your other plot prizes at the end.
