~ I love this event. I wish there was a plot this year. A lot of stuff was left hanging after the last one. My favorite event is either Vesnali or Luminaire though. I do appreciate the fact that not all of the viruses are gross though. I am looking forward to Masquerade too. I love dressing up for it. :)

~ I can help you get masks if you find one you like that is too expensive. I have a ton. <3

I'm not even sure what to look for with masks lol. I'm still discovering new tea things and kitty things for the galleries and don't get me started on the amount of books I need to get my 4 pets lol. A friend gave me a few pretty masks because all I had were inexpensive ugly ones so I think I'll be ok, no idea lol I'll have to see what Masquerade is all about :P

I don't think I'll ever wear Healing skin, yick! lol Although that's how I've felt the past few months, shakes head & chuckles. I'm slowly on the mends but I'm going to have to go through other operations & I'm lucky to have a specialist that is doing her best to help with funding. I'll get there eventually, but it's a lot of paperwork & aches. At least my adorable Gismo keeps me company through it all :) Ok ok must get away from computer otherwise my tummy will have me for breakfast lol

If not too busy, will probably set up a board for the Masq, but we will certainly have one!

Not sure I can pick a favourite holiday/event, Zombies are great, Masq dress-up, Luminaire snuggliness... so many good ones!

A plot for one of them, or summer plot would be fun too.

Don't forget to eat!

There are some really nice masks for the event - you have to wear one to be able to dance.
I have a slow connection, and usually they are in a restockable shop, so it's tough for me to catch the newest ones. Some of the faster Sharks have helped me out!

Most of the year, I am a CrackHead Zombie - before the wardrobe changes you had to be a zombie forever or cure and never get the skin again. CrackHead was what I got for my first Survival. The new system is so much better! But, I was prepared to be CrackHead for always, and like to honour my Zombie heritage... xD

I think my favorite event is Masquerade because of dressing up in pretty gowns and all the cool stuff in the steam shop. 2nd would be Luminaire. I never really liked Survival because I don't like zombies and most of the older skins are ugly. Really don't like the new achievements. Because too many of the wearables are alchemy items and I don't do alchemy so had to add them to my "need to borrow for achievements" wish list.

I got side tracked trying to look up masks. Thanks for the reminder, must go eat breakfast. I think/hope I'll be ok for a mask. I'm more concerned about a gown... the dresses I have aren't ballroom, more what I grabbed in donation or from quests. hum, maybe just a nice skirt and top? I'll figure it out.

Ok, ok dashes off for food and then I need to get ready to go shopping (sigh sniffles I don't wanna).

Yeah, there are some really nice gowns available. And elegant trouser sets, etc. Fine dressing for all tastes!

We've had a lot of clothing-tentacles over the past couple of events, hoping for some different themes this year, but sure it'll be fun.

It's another event with special tokens, so you'll find the gathering process similar to the candy hearts. Then hit a spending frenzy, of course!
There's lots to choose from once you have some tokens.

Off out myself in about 30 mins, so hope the shopping goes OK for you!

[edit] Found this in the donation corner, any good for you?

Ooh, will look forward to seeing the mask creation. Yeah, best to start prepping the outfits in advance. I think I'll wait for my Bakers virus to end before I try some on.

I love Masquerade! Already got a first post drafted, and I'm planning on playing in my wardrobe later. Life should be much less hectic after this week, so I'm looking forward to Masq. It's definitely my favorite subeta holiday. I love how creative the staff get with the wears too.

All right, back to RL and time to change some laundry over. Hopefully no one has moved my stuff yet!

I really need to stop being on here so sporadically. I've spent the past two evenings organizing quilting patterns and playing Neverwinter.

I'm feeling much better and my husband is getting over his cold as well. We've had unusual weather for February here. We've been all over the board for weather, we've had early summer weather and winter weather going back and forth. Lately its felt like spring. Hopefully this doesn't mean that there will be horrid weather in March.

Oh no! Hopefully you haven't gotten sick. It's terrible to travel while feeling sick. I'm just hoping that my husband and I don't pass it back and forth. I need to sanitize everything I've touched when I was really sick. I'll probably end up disgusted by how dirty everything is.

The Baker's strain does have a different looking end stage. I can't remember how I dressed my HA for that one when I had it. I had it the year it was originally released, and I just remember I wasn't too happy that I had that virus strain and hadn't received one of the others.

Yay for Masquerade organisation! I like the OTT steampunk, Victoriana, clockwork mechanical vibes.

However, your laundry safety is also a priority!

I need to work out a non-event time to run my next contest, maybe mid March, before anything else starts... I will ponder!

I think everyone got a bit chatty with the event, all that sugar!

Nothing wrong with games and craft organising, there should be time for all things we like in our lives.

Thank goodness the germs are on the way out. My niece felt better today and was back at school, but I will be suspicious of every sneeze in the meantime. Tricky, when I have allergies... xD (Yeah, disinfectant spray has been on everything here too!)

I think I have maybe four Bakers stages to go, then back to Zombie normal. I must get Lotus next time, but I am hoping it will be a layer at some point as it looked great over Crackhead.

Must try and sleep, so enjoy the last of the candy collecting and see you in March!

Lately I haven't much felt like getting my laptop out in the evenings, which I suppose isn't a bad thing.

I need quite a bit of time to organize my new quilting patterns. My grandmother had boxes upon boxes of quilting magazines saved. My mom and I have been slowly looking through them and pulling out the pages we want, so that has left me with a small plastic tub full of pages with quilt patterns and various information on old quilts. I've got three binders so far and I've been slowly trying to reorganize them by type. I've got one binder for patterns from the 1800's through to the 1950's along with information on older quilts and feedsack quilts. Another binder just has a wide variety of patterns, mostly newish ones. The third binder will have quilting/sewing tips and general information. I started making hexagon blocks after Christmas, but I haven't had much time to get back to working on them.

I've been suspicious of every sick kid at the school I work at. I felt awful last Sunday and Monday and I really don't want to miss more work due to sickness. My husband thought he had allergies because he was sneezing a lot, but I told him I was the same way when my cold started. I think my hubby was just in denial. I've got disinfectant spray and wipes. I'll use the spray on surfaces and the wipes on my phone, laptop and gaming controllers.

I've just started working on one last virus. I picked Love Bug, because it has some really nice stages. Will the vials from 2014 still be usable after Survival is over to unlock the skin? I think I've got some of them saved.

My favorite holiday is Masquerade but I hate that it starts so soon after Survival with only a couple weeks in between since I'm usually exhausted from being on constantly kissing and then have to turn around and do the same with dancing. Tiring. Wish they could spread them out a bit more.

After stuffing everything back into the closet, here's what I came up with. For the mask, key components are the cat ears, interesting top that looks a bit like hair, and the front part that looks less like baggy eyes of the 2nd mask lol. What do you think?

Anyone have ideas/suggestions I'm open but on a tight budget. Is this Masquerade worthy?

It looks good to me! Although masquerade HAs are more for fun than anything else, the only requirement is wearing some sort of mask item.

Sometimes I don't even bother to dress up my HA and will just put a random mask on layered underneath everything lol

I'm only 25 flowers short of the memorial achievement. Any Sharks want to trade candy hearts for flowers?

Hearts in my trades now, to trade for flowers. :D
