When i heard Carrie had a heart attack, but was in stable condition in the hospital, i told myself that this was the one that 2016 couldn't have. This life, this person, this idol, is the one that 2016 would not be able to strip away from us, because Carrie was stronger and better than even death itself. When i woke up from my nap earlier today and learned she had died...i cried. i cried because she was, still is tbh, someone i look up to, someone i want to be more like. Someone strong and snarky and sassy and beautiful and amazing and yet still so human. With so many scars. And yet she didn't try to hide them, she pushed them into the light. LOOK she screamed LOOK AT THESE PROBLEMS. And people did. She made it ok, for me, to be a strong woman. A scarred, flawed, strong woman. And that is what i'm trying to push myself to do and be like. i never knew her, irl that is, and she never knew i existed. But on some deep, cosmic level she and i were one person. Just a human, attempting to do the best with what they've been given. And i find that oddly comforting. i dunno i'm just rambling because i'm exhausted and terribly saddened but...we are all stardust and to stardust shall we return.

I read an article online earlier this evening that said Carrie Fisher had already filmed all of her scenes for Episode VIII, but not for Epissode IX. My husband is actually watching Rogue One again, so I'm not sure if he has heard about her passing yet.

splashes in OK, so just typing up my Lumi thanks post (the awesomeness of the folks here must not be underestimated) but I then have to go out again (in 5 mins time...)!

I will be doing bits and pieces of catching up with messages and comments and other stuff as I can - possibly back to the kindle tomorrow so typos may follow.
So much for back to 'normal'... xD

My other half has just gone off to the cinema with friends to see the latest Star Wars film again. He's treating it as a tribute. As a life-long fan, he's a bit shook up still.

OK I just saw the news post and my HA is back to where it was. I sure hope they add the ability to edit/add/delete drawers because I use drawers constantly.

I'm sure they'll come up with something that isn't casting someone else for the role (that would be terrible). I'm not a huge fan of Star Wars, but my husband is, so I keep up with some of it.

My husband had heard the news before he went to the theater, but he said Rogue One was still amazing after watching it for the second time. I've spent the past two days shopping all the after Christmas sales in two different towns. The rest of my week at home should be a bit more relaxing though, until the weekend when I have another family Christmas to go to.

Spend two hours this evening taking a nap to get rid of a doozy of a migraine (made me feel sick,that hasn't happened in a while). Migraine isn't completely gone, but gone enough that I can function. I'll find out later if I can actually fall asleep when I go to bed later.
