There was a bake-off episode on marshmallow fondant~~ Also a friend mentioned buttercream fondant (icing?) as expensive. He bought a tub for almost 50 dollars because that fondant rolls out better than what he could make.

Personally the internet is fine but the computer is overheating because of the humidity. Waiting on computer weather.

Computers require controlled temperature environments - and low humidity because it is not good to get any thing involving electricity wet!

Oh thanks Hun :D I am going to work on it this week and hopefully have it up by this Friday. I want to have it run for a week to give everyone a fair chance, and I can also figure out how many prizes I will need!

The fondant he used was most likely the icing one because it was too sweet. He even added more sugar into it as we were working with it because I have no cake skills.

- hmmm. Usually PC's don't like blankets either. They block the vents which causes other problems. But usually indoors the temperatures are reasonable for PC's unless you are somewhere without heat or air conditioning for some reason??? Of course, laptops can be used outdoors (as long as it's not raining and/or snowing). :-)

I haven't gone anything random in a really long time now! Does anyone remember that random event that gave out potions and elixirs? Is that still around?

I don't remember any random event for potions and elixirs? I get a mage amulet every so often. And, come to think of it, I do vaguely remember getting some sort of liquid from a random event, but it must be really rare if it's still happening.

... The heating worked fine. The air conditioning works fine. The rain is on and off so it is humid. Air conditioning does not change humidity. You're literally parroting information from my last post. That week it was the cold that was bad for electricity, this time it's the muggy weather. I wasn't harming my PC with fabric, it was hovering over the CPU to incubate it towards a stable temperature. Laptop and PC are prone to humidity damage indoors.

I don't know about an RE that only gives out elixirs and such, but the Lizard Minion REs can give out r99 items (which includes some of the potions and such) if you have the repellent & trap in your inventory.

It was so long ago. I think the best one I ever got was a bloodred potion.

It's just that I've been a computer person for a very long time and this is pretty much the first time I've heard about problems with personal computers indoors, so I was a bit confused. Most heating/air conditioning systems I know about include some sort of humidity control (I have a humidifier to use with the furnace). Hope whatever is happening with you that your computer survives the weather and you are able to stay online. (I hate when I can't get online. :-) )

Congratulations on getting the Dawn Tigrean Elixir. Was that an RE or a lizard event? (Just curious.)

Yeah it really is :( I even made a thread on the help boards. No luck so far.

I used to have a hard time parting with books (or anything, really), but I think having moved 11 times in 5 years, I've had to get better and parting with things I don't use or read. I've already packed up 3 boxes of books to take back home, and I still have another 2 boxes worth of books to pack. Back home, I've got 2 small bookcases filled with books and books sitting in little piles under a shelf.

My duplex doesn't have an interior room with no windows. Every room except the bathroom has windows and the bathroom is on an outer wall. I suppose if I had to, I shut myself in the coat closet or linen closet. I think the nearest storm shelter is in a park down the block from me, but I've never seen anything posted about it when I've biked past there.

They run the tornado sirens for a long time too when they test them. There have been a few times at work, where I start to wonder if its more than just a drill, especially if they are testing the sirens on a cloudy, windy day.

I think its slowly healing, but it was really painful last night. That might have been because I typed up a script for my presentation that I have to give at my interview. I probably did too much at once, but it's been painful since yesterday. Naproxen and other pain relievers don't make a dent in the pain.

I think she did like the duplex, it seemed like she had already decided she was going to move in after we move out, she just wanted to see the place. She asked some questions about the landlord and the neighbors and my favorite thing about the place.

And rainy weather is back...I'd rather have a power outage over slow internet. A power outage is out of my hands, but slow internet (or a crappy connection) means I have to deal with resetting the router and then waiting for it to turn back on. Yesterday the internet crapped out while I was watching Father Brown and then the episode restarted.

Did they mention on that episode how marshmallow fondant tastes? I've never heard of buttercream fondant, sounds yummy! But yikes at the price o.O The one thing I didn't like about the fondant I bought to use, is that the color got all streaky after I rolled it out, due to the flour.ed surface. My laptop was slow for awhile, then I found some updates that should have been done a month ago. I have Duff's purple and white stripe/swirl cake mix, but I haven't baked it yet.

If I recall correctly it was Nadiya Hussain who mentioned making fondant from scratch out of marshmallow for budget reasons, no clarity on taste past her kids enjoying it. Mary Berry had never heard of this.

Hmmm, I understand the problem. Yes, if not a storm shelter than I guess it would be coat or linen closet as the best choice available. If the park has a storm shelter, maybe there is some information online about it (or about where one is if it's not the park).

I'm not sure how long the test of our siren is, but it's always on the same day of the week at the same time. Sometimes I wonder what happens if there is ever a storm during test time.

So sorry to hear that your hand is still hurting you. Come on fingers - hurry up and heal, Caraduin needs you! Definitely not good when pain relievers aren't helping. Are you able to ask your doctor about that? Maybe there's something else that would work for you.
