Yes, you should be able to if you choose that option for any pet color. I don't think there are any exceptions.

I'm actually liking this very specific idea very much, I'm going to get myself Nostalgic Keeto as a christmas present.

Yet I hope it won't turn into a "thing". It's fun BECAUSE it's original, one of a king and matches the theme.

I love it. I think it fits perfectly with the nostalgic theme and just because you don't like this one pet, it isn't the end of the world. A lot of people like it and will get one. If you don't like it, don't get one. Problem solved.

I like it! I think the animation works well for this pet in particular, but I think other pets ought to stay static, unless there's like a really good reason for them to move.

why are people complaining that it's animated? jesus christ you guys are never happy with anything smh. it's really cute and well drawn, fits with the theme very well.

It's great, I love it, I think it's a fantastic idea and brought me a lot of joy to see! I definitely want to get one. Great job @ the artist who did this, the execution is wonderful!

And honestly, I don't think I've seen anyone suggest more animated pets... I think that's just you guys being kinda cynical. ;P

it still didn't register as a pet or a keeto - when I first saw it I didn't know it was the pet, I thought it was something else entirely - a battle monster - a feature... just not a pet. and It may have the markings, but it lacks many of the keeto's features - such as the ghostly aura for instance. It honestly makes me worried for any keeto revamps that it won't have the aura in the future. :/

I love this pet-- I had and adored tamagotchis as a kid and I'm now def planning on getting one of these pets. It'll be my first Keeto! I think the animation is a very cute touch, it's not anything big but really adds some charm to it.

While I can't really work with nostalgic pets as characters, I enjoy seeing the artwork for them, and this one is really neat! The art quality is really nice and it's a cute concept pulled off very well, I think. I can appreciate that the keeto wasn't made into a generic stuffed animal. Tamagotchi pets certainly bring back memories. I was a little surprised to see an animated pet, but it's a pretty neat little touch, really! I like it a lot. When I first glanced at it, I also thought it was part of a new feature or, well, anything but a new pet haha, but I don't think that's an issue since nostalgic pets pretty much all seem to be toys based off pets. I'm not sure that any previous nostalgic pets were drawn to look like they were alive..

I think that the nostalgic one doesn't have the aura because it's just a toy based off a keeto, not an actual keeto. The other redraw keetos released since the species got a new artist (storm, sweetheart) have very noticeable auras, so I doubt there's any reason to worry c:

Eh, I'll admit I have. :P But I didn't mean it in a "EVERYTHING SHOULD BLINK!" sort of way that everyone seems to be referring to. I think there are cool ways animation could be incorporated into future pets, but most pets don't need it.

I really like the Keeto, though! The animation was really clever, and I think it gives a lot to the pet!

I agree with this one missing the aura because it's meant more to be the toy and not the actual pet. But I think it still kind of fits with the Keeto being like a spirit/ethereal kind of animal, maybe its spirit got trapped inside the toy or something.

Anyway, I still think it's an interesting design with the animation in this particular case.

Haha, thanks! I don't know if that was the intention, but I was just trying to think of a connection since a lot of the other nostalgic pets have themes that kind of fit with the species.

I don't care if it is the only animated pet or not, if it breaks any consistency or if there will be more animated pets - I think it's a clever and cute idea and looking at it makes me happy, end of story for me. (:

It's so cute, I really want one! While I never had a Tamagotchi that I can recall, I had several nano pets and giga pets x) Definitely brings back memories.

I wouldn't get this pet because it doesn't really fit my character style, but I have to give the artist major props for the concept, design, and execution. Looks fantastic!

I wonder why it was the keeto that got chosen for this. Were tamagotchis keeto-like in appearance?
