Nik heard the spell but it was too late to draw his wand. He felt his body stiffen, and he fell over in the snow.

"What?" he asked, "I ain't mad at 'er or yellin' at her. You need an ear trumpet." But then Nik kept going. "STOP CALLING ME THAT! ME NAME IS MAGNUS SAINT JOHN LEE! I earned me name you pompas arse. I 'ave scars on me back you'll never 'ave. I died for a moment from me wounds, so don't you dare tell me to man up. You don't know nofing about me or what I deal with. I ain't presuming nofing about you, so back the bloody 'ell off." He was livid now, so red from anger.

Snow shot a spell at him, but he had been watching her and shouted, "Protego." Eerily calmly, he said, "me best adult mate is an auror, 'e taught me well."

He stood there shaking with anger wanting to hit Nik so bad, but instead went back inside, grabbed his bag. "I-I need to go. Eat, I'm gonna go calm down."

"What do I owe?" he asked the proprietor and then paid that amount.

Walking back outside he sneered at Nik, shot a soft look to Snow and stalked off. He wasn't paying attention to know if anyone was following him or not. He just needed to leave.

"Magnus wait." Snow said in a weird almost monotone voice. "I just am trying to separate the two of you. I dont want you both fighting alright?"

"finite incantanum" she flicked her wand so he could move.

"I didnt want any of you blaming yourselves for Thranduil thinking this" she motions "was to much...he had issues too ok? At Beauxbatons...but we both knew..."if" I could have gotten in I wouldnt have ever fit in. I just wanted to try and fit in with the people I saw in the hallways. My kind arent all glitter and rainbow farts ok?"

Snow was trying to hold back tears. "Im going to go eat.."

Snow stops and looks guiltily down when the headmistress shows up.

Nik concentrated on the counter curse, and mentally cast it. He had hated all the training for non verbal magic at Durmstrang, but was glad now he had done well. he felt his body loosening up, and was prepared for confrontation by the time Magnus stormed out of the restaurant. He mentally cast the pullus jinx at Magnus, turning him into a chicken, just as another adult walked up.

Magnus was going to reply, but suddenly he turned into a chicken, dropping his bag in the process. Several things broke and water--and potions poured out. His cat hissed and clawed her way out of the bag. She had an arched back.

Snow seeing what happened tried to go and collect Magnus' things...letting his cat claw the crap out of her if need be but keeping Duddits safe

Nik stood up, looking pleased with himself, and turned to face the adult who was standing there looking cross. He looked over at Snow, who was looking down, and guessed this was someone of importance.

Nik managed an innocent smile " hello, " he said to the lady, " I'm Nik," and extended his hand.

EDIT Nik looked at the lady, wondering how she knew who he was.

Snow stood holding Magnus cat and looking down. "Im sorry mam...its my fault..I came to meet my Beauxbatons friend earlier and he..he didnt get on with the students he saw...and I didnt want to tell anyone what he said...because I didnt want to hurt anyones feelings...but my mannerisms gave it away I suppose...and then...Nik..he was...I dont know..I think he was trying in his own way to be friends with Magnus..but Magnus took offense...and..." shrugs I only was trying to break em up so they wouldnt get banned..." Snow looked clearly upset..not angry..just upset

Nik smiled " Nice to meet you, Headmistress," he said, coming to attention as he was so used to doing. "Just a misunderstanding, Headmistress, won't happen again."

Magnus looked at the Headmistress, whom he'd never really spoken too. "It ain't no misunderstanding. I asked 'im nicely to stop calling me a name. I asked 'im to stop but 'e wouldn't. I went to get me fings so I could go calm down. Honest, I weren't trying to get into anyfing."

He went to get his cat, spoke calmly to her and then opened his bag and saw his potions were going and his sketchbook was ruined. Magnus was crying now. He hadn't fought and was still scolded. How unfair was that he thought miserably. The picture he drew of Katsumi was now a blob... He packed up all his ruined stuff, told Kippers to go to the castle.

Nik stood still at attention, his anger at Magnus growing. He remained that way until he was dismissed.

T.T Seriously, guys, I know I'm usually /much/ faster, but...=/ It's not even that you didn't see my post, because some of you have posted twice, and I keep having to redo things, since I'm trying to catch up /and/ I have like three other things going on too right now. =/ ))

Kat had been busy trying to think of what Magnus might like to try, eventually settling on fajitas, chile relleno, and a couple other things with the help of the other students that had turned up. She'd been glad to spot Fade, and Paddy was a welcome sight too.

So she wasn't as quick to the mark as she would have liked, when tempers flared outside. Magnus had gone to talk to Snow and the new boy, but she didn't realize something was wrong until spells were already flying. At that, she was out the door in a trice, though Magnus headed in moments later. She managed to keep her temper -- barely -- when she saw how upset Magnus and then Snow both were. The chicken jinx came perilously close to the last straw, but with the headmistress present she instead confined her response to grabbing her boyfriend's hand, once he was returned to human form. If looks could kill, Nik would be dead before he knew what had hit him.

"Easy, Magnus," she told him softly, though it was hypocritical. He pulled away to get Kippers, and she let him, glancing at Snow. "I'm not angry with you -- we can talk later, okay? ...If you would let the others know I'll pay 'em back for my share of the meal, I'd appreciate it." She gave Nik another steely look and turned to dash after the retreating Ravenclaw. (c for Magnus only)
