"Thank you so much....I am looking for aromatic and beautiful flowers, mostly white and purple, perhaps a blue one here and there...perhaps a total of two dozen...? Yes, that would be a good number, " Thranduil said with a smile. " I am not quite certain of the types of flowers you have here, so...I shall leave it up to you to pick them out. Oh, do you also sell vases, or could you recommend a shop to purchase one..?"

Jen said gently teasing the boy as she grabbed some lavender from what used to be an empty bucket as she waited for the boy to choose the vase he wanted.

Thranduil smiled again. " You are perceptive, I am not from around here, I will be starting up at Hogwarts next term. I transferred from Beauxbatons Academy. The flowers are for my Mother. She is a Veela, and she loves art, so she is a very artistic type of person. She is from Sweden, so..if you happen to have anything that might be native from there, or could make a flower or two be from there, I am certain it would make her day."

After being at Hogwarts for a bit, she had decided today would be the day she would be herself. She handed in her permission slip to and slowly made her way down the path letting her tail swish behind her. She at first carried Duddits, her pet duckling, till they got to stable grounds then set him down

*Snow walked nervously into Hogsmeade, letting Duddits lead her. He seemed to take well to his new harness and leash and enjoyed even more the little sweater she had knitted him.

Her Nana assured her it was safe for her to walk around with her tail and ears showing here and at Hogwarts, as it was a completely magical community, though it still made her nervous. She wondered about, looking around for her pen pal Thrandi (()) while debating if she should hide her animal features.

She glanced at some of the unique carts and closed her eyes with a smile catching the smell of lavender on the breeze. Duddits had collected a leaf in his beak and was happily making sure everyone knew it was his.*

Snow was unsure how the werewolves from school would take her but she hoped it would be well. She had tried hard to hide her smell. Especially from Magnus (()) as he was a curious gent.

Thranduil took the time to pick out the perfect vase for the flower bouquet the lady was arranging for him. He was certain his Mother would love it.

Snow picked up Duddits and followed her tummy over to Lydia “The Nut Lady” Kerr. She eagerly looked over the delectables. Smiling up at the lady she asked, "Do you have any special flavors for the season?"

(( inu-mimi, Japanese. I more often see the term nekomimi, which is literally "cat ears". Inu is dog. Actually wolf might be something else, I'd need to look it up, but inu is pretty close....gaaah, derp. At any rate, I see 'em a lot in anime, folks with animal ears and sometimes tails.

Magnus stopped at the flower person, and asked for a Sakura blossom for Kat. And the he spotted a little duck and went to pet it, without actually seeing the owner. "Awww ain't you a cute thing," he cooed as he petted it. "Look at that adorable widdle duckie Kat!"

(()) Duddits quacked happily and bucked his orange leaf about seeming quite proud of himself, his sweater is in Slytherin colors, and he seemed quite happy to be petted by Magnus

Snow seemed to hold her breath while he played with Duddits, unsure how they would react to her "new look"

"I'm in Ravenclaw," he told the cute little duck in the Slytherin sweater. "I wish I 'ad some bread for ya."

Thranduil was a little annoyed when a couple came up and asked for a flower, but then he calmed down. His order was taking time, and he didn't want to have a line form while she was helping him out, so he thought about what flower he might like to get for his meeting with Snow. He knew from his Etiquette training that the Language of Flowers taught him that an Iris, the symbol of France, meant that your friendship meant so much to the giver ( which it did) and for the receiver to have faith and hope, that everything would be ok, which he was sure it would be. He thought it would be perfect, and he was going to ask for one of those when she was finished.

(()) *Duddits stood up very straight like Magnus had said the "magic word". Snow chuckled. "Ah! You said the magic word...he loves bread" she smiled then looked back at the nut cart

She wished she had found Thranduil. She felt stressed (())

"Aww, he is -- and look at his adorable little sweater." Kat wasn't sure petting an animal without its person was wise, but it was too late to do anything about that now. "You shouldn't feed ducks bread, Magnus, it's actually really bad for them. Particularly if they get a lot of it."

The other young wizard seemed less than thrilled to be near them, though not with an evident reason. Katsumi glanced at him a second time, and her brows shot up. He reminded her of a girl she'd met in one of the Slavic countries as a child, though she couldn't remember many details. Still, it would be rude to stare, and she quickly looked away.

Thranduil saw the female of the couple give him a second glance before they left, but he paid it no heed. He had gotten used to all of the attention, and tried his best to ignore it, or to be polite when he had to deal with it. The two of them looked very mismatched, but comfortable with each other in a strange sort of way. Thrandi put the thought of them out of his mind as he watched the lady continue to pick out flowers.

He realised he proably cut in front of the guy. "Sorry," he said blushing, "er, didn't mean ta. I got so excited about the flower...and...um, name's Magnus." He extended his hand for the boy to take it, if he wanted.

"Oh," Magnus said to the girl, "I'm sorry, I don't 'ave any." He took in the girl's ears and tail without so much as a reaction at all. "Name's Magnus," he said. "You...I dunno, feel different to me... are you a werewolf? I am. Just finished me cycle not long ago and I'm rambling now so I'll shut up." He turned crimsom. "Really?" he asked Katsumi with a surprised voice, "I didn't know that, I used to feed ducks at the lake all the time with stale rolls and such when I was livin' at the orphanage. They are just too cute."

Snow gave Kat a little smile, she was happy to find someone else knew a bit about ducks as well, she wondered if she should try talking to them, but after keeping her "head down" so to speak for a few years she had found herself a bit shy. Her eyes followed were Kat had looked and she saw a tall blonde gentleman from behind. He didnt look familiar so she continued to look at the nuts

Thranduil stared at the boy, and his extended hand. He had no plans to shake it. He gave a polite smile and inclined his head in acknowledgement. "Pleasure, " he said. " I am Thranduil. Do enjoy your day."
