I'm in support of Aberdeen Al-mi'raj, it's colours are yellow and black however and I feel this is quite a common colour theme

I can understand your concern and I to an extent share your opinion...I know I was trying to lump it together with the theme for the mascot and the place we are using...which are both known for there gold/yellow colors...the other problem would be finding things in said color...if I had to choose other colors though I admit I do like purple...but Im not sure how it would fit....

I was literally only trying things out above...I know Garrett and I also discussed the possibility of a tartan owing to the fact that its Scotland...but..idk

I really like the Al-mi'raj and the city choice, but I'm a bit concerned about the colours being yellow/black. Wikipedia says, Aberdeen is also called 'Granite City', we could go with a darker grey instead of black ? I'm not sure if it looks to much like Hufflepuff in gold/yellow and black.

The idea of tartans sounds great. :D We could also use checkered items as well.

These are the items my model is wearing:

I chose red, because Aberdeen's flag is mostly red, and tartans are symbolic of Scotland

I chose gold to go with a nickname of Aberdeen ( silver city on golden sands) and the common color for Al-mi'raj

Leggings offer comfort and safety, fitting close to the body while not getting caught on anything, and black is the known color of the Al-mi'raj horn

Gloves are needed to protect the hands, again black for the horn

These are high, strapped boots to protect the legs and shins. They are black and silver/gray, which could be referencing either the granite in granite city or the silver in silver city on golden sands nicknames for Aberdeen.

I like the idea of something checkered too...but for me...I dont want it to be in your face..ya know? and again there is limitations...Ive been looking at the world quidditch teams..and well a lot of colors are taken...I did consider instead of like black, silver, white what if we did yellow with another color? the problem is...(like gryffindor or ravenclaw who both use gold/yellow or copperish/gold) it could cause problems...

I know in the old Dungeons and Dragons game (which has loooong sense changed) Almiraj could be a variety of colors but they were usually pastels...and the color represented the amount of power they possessed (in psionics) I would be open to looking at the pastels (again if the options are available) but I honestly do loath the idea of being considered the easter bunny team.

even though it doesnt go with Aberdeen on Almiraj, I did throw together a purple option (using delish sagi and delish ser items with a purple cinder hat and purple coat back)

I'm not crazy about plaid, unless it's a small portion. I like the color teal in a dark tone, could look good with a lighter tone like gray or silver. Idk about purple. It is one of my favorite colors but makes me think of medicine. ? Could look good if well combined

Especially the middle one has a nice amount of tiny spikes. The colours of the first one blend in really well and I like the natural yellow tone on the pants. I'm a big fan of teal as well, so I like the seeker. xD Though not so sure how it goes with our colour theme.

I've been researching a bit and stumbled upon the Wimbourne Wasps, whose colours are yellow and black as well. Though I like the dynamic combination on the human avatars you made, I've been wondering if a muted yellow/gold tone would stand out in the colour scheme.

The red Tartan on Garrett's suggestion is nice and I guess most of you have seen the new argyle vests in the news. They're clearly a HP reference and the yellow one ( Golden Buttoned Argyle Vest ) could be useful for the challenge - if they don't count as official Hogwarts robes; I'm not sure about this.

Throwing a non-black/gold color scheme out there for consideration. Basically played with the flag colors and gray since its the Grey/Silver City. Red/gold is also pretty common though so I don't know.

Gosh I love a lot of those HAs...they are looking nice. I want to remind you guys to take note of what your using, so when we create the finished product we know what the item is called (please!!)

I thought of concepts...I know Aberdeen is on a coast..(as was the home of the almiraj was an island) my only other thought is to see if we could do something water/ocean colored if the yellow isnt working out.

( I think thats everyone) Just pinging you all to say I have read and seen your suggestions...lots of good ideas :) I have made some adjustments based on those ideas, and wanted to get an opinion on another HA option. Personally, even though I rationalized the items and colors, I thought my previous HA uniform option looked like a demented Ronald McDonald.

Changes are a hint of red, and more dark gray/silver to go with either the Granite City, or The Silver City on Golden Sands nickname of Aberdeen
