I just wanted the town's name to shortened to Fableg. We could have had a fabulous leg as our mascot. No one would take us seriously.
With the common room, since it's rp, you guys would be talking to Eros. Or probably not since Eros isn't much of a talker, haha. We can just create a general slytherin chat topic if needed.
omg I was soooo mad because I did a herbology assignment (the one I wrote) then like 2 days after submitting it they put a herbology assignment out...I was trying to grab a subject that hadnt been done..and I love plants too..I need to do the writing assignments definitely..oi.
and Garrett says HIIIII to everyone..we are brainstorming our first day assignments and laughing...
It is Thranduil from the Hobbit movies...the ELF KING!!!! I fell in love witht he awesome character (and I like Lee Pace!) for me (even though I love both the hobbit trilogy and the Lord of the rings trilogy) he stole the movie for me...just loved him...he would be like the ultimate elven Slytherin!
and yes...we could move...but I view this as our secret room off the common room LOL :D
dies laughing LOL what would out colors be???
Sense we are all quite introverts...we become EROS small groups of friends....its a good thing :D

Sorry, my bad. :'D I watched the first movie years ago, but I have to admit I almost fell asleep. '-' Might give it another chance since it's been so long.
No problem. c: I thought about lessons as well, but I don't have any idea as I think, most topics seem to be covered.
As it's almost the weekend, I might give these movies another try, that sounds just so awesome and interesting oo (At this point, 'Hello' to Garrett as well c: )
Haha, yes, this room is like a chamber of secrets. ba dum tss :'D
I guess the common room is fine when we finally move over. :D I don't want to seperate all the talk. :'D
waves to everyone Hello...I have 1.5 hours until I watch pre-season NFL football, so I thought I might as well work on some homework, and stopped in to say hello :)

I will admit I loved the Hobbit movies a bit more then the LoTR movies...we did a marathon of all the movies about a month ago..
Makes me think the Slytherin movie club wouldnt be such a bad idea...Garrett and I were considering it for next term, but we werent sure who would be interested (even if its just discussing favorite movies) because Garrett and I both are obsessed with horror..then fantasy, scifi, comedy...you know that kinda stuff.
but the joke on Thranduil is the first Hobbit movie...he was on screen for maybe 10 minutes...and he made a HUGE impression..he was just...amazing. O.O lol
and Anne...your joke about the chamber made me think of the other horrible joke...can I "Slytherin to your Chamber of Secrets?" :O lol such a bad joke. Sorry if it was crass

oh that sucks! Grabbing a topic that haven't been done is almost impossible now since most things are covered. :( But hey it can always be picked and if not next term?
Really? Well I guess it is the kind of movie I like because I honestly love those movies, both LOTR and Hobbit, yet I like LOTR more contrary to But if it's not your cup of tea you won't enjoy them as most as you try. We all have different tastes so it's fine. I am a fan of Star wars too and of course Harry Potter!!! :D
I love movie marathons. xd
Well, why not? c: The club sounds interesting, although I'm a scaredy-cat when it comes to horror movies.
Sounds like 10 minutes were not enough :P
Haha, that one is great xD I have terrible humour, I guess. :'D
If I remember correctly, my friend suggested to watch LotR on New Year's Eve, maybe that was the reason I was so tired. I like fantasy in general. c:
Star Wars is awesome, too. What's this Harry Potter though? Never heard of it. :P
I have to catch-up with so many series, the only one I'm up-to-date is Game of Thrones. xd
OMG I LOVE STAR WARS TOO!!! LOL :) I liked LOTR but when I watched the Hobbit set and then went and watched the LOTRs Frodo...like irritated me...I still loved Legalos and Gandalf and such...I dont know why...because I loved the Hobbits, I loved Merry and Pippin still though :D
and ya..I mean at the time there wasnt any DADA or Herbology..or Care of Magic creatures...which were the 3 I was choosing between...spent a pain in the ass amount of time on the Herb. lesson and I knew I should have gone with my gut and did the Creatures one instead. -.-
Oh no...I mean he showed up for longer periods in the other movies...but there are fans SCREAMING to give him his own movie (much like Loki :D) and awww its ok :D I recently watched the Rise of the Guardians movie...fell in love and I do love a wide range...Im just not big on complete love stories...LOL :D
You dont have terrible humor..I think its great! :D
The only issue with a movie club is if we have the movies to watch "together" lol or are we just going to "nerd" out on a set...
like I TOTALLY nerded out on the new Star Wars flick when they showed the Millennium Falcon and Han and Chewie!!! OMG hee hee I think I startled Garrett when I blurted out FASTEST HUNK OF JUNK IN THE GALAXY!

Year's is not the best day to watch a long movie like that, especially when it requires attention. I don't watch GoT, I didn't enjoy the few episodes i saw- too creepy for me.
Harry Potter is this movie with a wizard that has a scar and wear glasses- a classic. :P
Ahh Frodo is not irritating! He has a big burden to carry! The rings corrupts him and drains him. He is so misunderstood. :( I love all the characters especially Aragon and Arwen, Gandalf, all hobbits, and Legolas of course. But I just love all characters anyway. Cept the orcs O_O
I hope they pick your assignment soon. =D
HAHA! I was hysterical at the cinema when Han and Chewei showed up too! I think I even cried a little -I tend to cry when I'm very excited, I'm an emotional person. lol But in general I really liked the movie and I love Rey and BB8 but R2 is still my droid.
ok...I thought that too...regarding Frodo..however...in the Hobbit, Sauron was active (abet weaker, but active) when Bilbo came about the one ring...then (while Sauron gathered more and more strength) Bilbo carried the ring for over 60 years in his pocket...it gave him an unusual long life. Now I know he didnt travel to Mount Doom and have orcs on his tail the whole way...but he did fight an awful lot of dark things of his own...and then it seemed that Frodo had for maybe a week (which for a time it spent in an envelope) and seemed to be suffering from its effects rather quickly...though he did get stabbed with the witch kings blade...I just happened to like young Bilbo more then Frodo. :) Just preference...and I loved Legolas....till I saw his father and firmly attached myself to his long cloak in happy adoration.

Thanks for the compliment on my humour. c: xd
I feel so awkward as I've never watched LotR - same goes for Guardians of the Galaxy. :'D And it feels like I missed something. xd
Theoretically we could watch movies together and chat along. I did that with a long-distance friend via Skype often. xd
Yeah, I guess that's why I never gave the movies another chance until now. xd
GoT has some creepy elements like the white walkers, but as I soak up almost everything related to medieval times, I'm okay with that. The walking dead was difficult for me and a friend had to watch the first episodes with me. sigh I'm such a scaredy-cat.
And OMG, we won. 😄 🎉 I thought I was still asleep when I read it in the morning on my phone. xD
Guardians of the Galaxy was good too :) Rise of the Guardians (just in case you thought I was talking about the other one) is a animated movie with Jack Frost, Santa, the tooth fairy, Sandman and the easter bunny...and it rocked socks...LOL :D I watched that recently too :) I love movies wayyyyy to much.

My best friend is like the number one Bilbo lover I have ever met and is a huge Tolkien fan, so I am used to this. Still she understands Frodo and he was not one week with the ring. Those travels take months and years, not 60 years ok, but maybe Frodo wasn't as strong? Also he was being hunted down, stabbed, and confused by all that was going on. Not to mention he couldn't wear the ring or he was instantly found, unlike Bilbo. Now I believe that he drained him far more because he was in almost full power then. I understand he had moments you may want to slap him, but then again he stopped trusting people because of the ring. Sam knew it and if it wasn't for Sam, Frodo wouldn't have made it at all. In fact the ring was destroyed due to Gollum and Frodo's greed for the ring and not because he actually let go of it. That's how powerful the ring is. Ok I'll shut up. I love Frodo and I love Bilbo, and I love Sam and Merry and Pippin. Hobbits are cute.
I honestly don't do well with very graphic violence or too much violence. LOTR is as violent as i go, and yes it is a lot of war but you don't see much blood. So much goes on that you can't focus on those details-or my brain rejects them. lol I am quite cheesy, I like Disney and sweet things, but I like cool adventure stories too. lol
YES WE WON! And no offence but ours was the best, most complete of all. And the only uniform that actually resembled Quidditch uniforms. XD~ And yes I might be totally biased but we are the best anyway. lol I actually thought Ravenclaw will be second but maybe breaking the rules made them loose points. Oh well, better luck next time.
LOL I meant in the very beginning of the fellowship of the ring movie, when I was talking about the short amount of time that Frodo was corrupted by the ring in comparison to the amount of time that Bilbo kept it on him. Thats what I meant...I know it took months to get there LOL...and without Sam he would never have made it...hell even without Gollum as well! and I love the statement of wanting to slap Frodo at times..Lol...
My fav characters from the series
Hobbit: Thranduil, Bilbo, Gandalf and the old dwarf Balin..I also liked the wizard who had the bunny sled :D LOTR: ELROND!, Legolas, Gandalf, Merry and Pippin (the first time I watched them I loved Legolas and Galadriel, but over the years I really came to love Elrond in them, while I never cared for the actor who played old Bilbo. :) )

Sorry, I misread the movie title... :'D Yesterday was so confusing. But I neither watched Guardians of the Galaxy nor Rise of the Guardians. I'm pretty lazy when it comes to movies/series, actually and I find that sad. o.o
Wide fighting scenes are actually difficult for me as well since I find them confusing. :'D I'm more focused on the interactions between characters and the story in general. Disney movies will always be awesome. c: One can not simply dislike Disney movies. xd
I honestly thought it would be close between us and Ravenclaw as their organisation was really neat like ours. But like you said, maybe the two-sentence bio put a spoke in their wheel. Either way, I'm more than pleased with the outcome. xd I'm surprised though that no one else came up with the Goffic Jackets, but that was even better for us. : > And Psst! Don't wish them luck. xD
Oh yes! Gollum was helpful yet also betrayed them, which we knew will happen eventually. I probably couldn't slap Frodo but the thought did cross my mind, especially when he told Sam to go.
I love the same characters you like from Hobbit, yet I also like Galandriel, and Thorin. AND BARN! I love Barn. Elrond is my favorite elf! Followed by Arwen and Legolas of course. But I love Aragon and Gandalf and everyone. Gimli is funny too. I love Sam, he is all heart, but all hobbits I love. I like most characters from TLOTR cept Boromir's dad. UGH!
Yes the fighting scenes tend to be very confusing indeed, especially if there are big armies involved. I like the story more as well than the action part of things. Not that I don't like a good action part but I don't like watching blood. Yes Disney movies are good, well most of them.
I guess no one wanted to use the obvious choice for a quidditch robe but sometimes traditional is better. I'm very pleased with the outcomes since we won. And hey, I only wish them good luck for a second place, because first is always ours. lol
