Was there a denial --- Your custom clothing Alabaster Foxy Slippers was denied for the following reason(s): • ITEM: Artwork does not match Subeta style, quality, or level of detail in general • ITEM: Pillow shading • ITEM: Gray artwork, possibly from shading with black and/or highlighting with white
Optional Can we take a look at the PSD files --- yes ! but it might look different in a psd format cause I draw in Clip studio D; Can we redline --- Yes please ;_;

usually you get pillow shading when you don't give the cw enough texture or when the shading is only a half moon like this:
you could make it as ->
which imo looks better and gives the image more depth :)
as for gray artwork, just use different colors for the shading; try hues of purpleish and magenta. for highlight use some yellow and stuff! as for quality well, i just added some more details, but honestly idk if that'd make a difference. i do love the way you drew the fox, it's so qt! and i love the shoes as well skdjfhkjsdhf

THE DAY i was gonna give feedback on this was the day lots of websites were attacked by idk what, and the images were not opening for me hehe
i rly like the hair you did! i'd personally just add a little bit more of definition to the lineart on the back of the hair. i just used a quick multiply layer and made it darker :)

regarding the cloak, the shape is looking slightly weird to me; it kinda reminds me of hair instead of fabric, maybe because of the way it's floating. i'd also personally make the fluffy part a bit smaller and slightly more detailed c:

as for the bra and legging i rly love those!
omg thank you so much of the example of the depth and stuff!it helps a lot! ___ and also the super detailed ci and explanation ;__; i know youre supposed to be super busy with school tooo so omg im indebt ;A: tysm bb ❤❤
huehueuhe i needed a break from hw, i dont wanna do this stuff anymore /tableflip LOL
HOPEFULLY IT GOES THROUGH !! i need those sho
dkjfsdlf Sonatine did an awesome job with the shading so im not gonna touch that! im just gonna nitpick the lineart a bit q.q i sorriiieeesss
i think the rest of the fox is fine! maybe just the face and head have slight issues so...
^
usually the cheeks arent directly in the middle, theyre a bit lower down!
^
then after that you can sketch some guidelines to help you place the features! notice that the line cutting from cheek to cheek is sloping towards the chin a bit - that gives it a bit more 3d-ness(?) and the nose is a bit like a triangle!
^
the rest of it looks fine~ i just drew some leg features but it isnt super necessary
^
comparison
thats it really! i dont know how easy it is to fix the lineart for you so of course you dont have to because its just so qtpie and Sonatine's art makes it a lot better dfjkdlgs xDD

Haha, it's all good!
Thank you so much for the advice! ❤️
I have to say your hair tutorial was a major contributor to the color job on the wig...hopefully I'm on the right track! I definitely see the darkening making everything more defined.
I'll definitely take a second look at the cloak with your redline. I have this slight worry that there might be something on site like this, but and I combed quite a few keywords for cloak/shawl/etc. and came up empty. Fabric always confuses me!
Seems like quite a few people are interested in the bra & leggings, so I might be releasing them soon~
Again, thanks for taking the time to give me feedback!
If you have anything else to add, I'd love to hear it! (I know you're a busy bee!)

thanks for the ping, I completely forgot also (as well as half the list of stuff i was supposed to do over the weekend urghhhh!)
I think covered the major part for the hair - it has a great start but it does lack a bit of shadows. I'd also add some highlights on the top left so that light source is clear.
I've basically just darkened the shadows by adding 'multiply layer' lines of dark blue, and then added a soft blob of greenish highlights on the top left at reduced opacity (:
For the cape, same as aforementioned, it does need more light source! I made the entire dark side a bit darker, and added a few highlights to emphasize the lifht source being top left!
For the shape of the cape itself, I erased a few fluffs on the left and added more on the right - to give a bit more 3/4 perspective!

Please let me know if im not being clear ;;

Was there a denial ---
Optional Can we take a look at the PSD files --- Yes (for the overlay that is!) Can we redline --- Yes, but since I didn't do the original art for this, I wont really be able to fix it, would have to figure out how to get in contact with who did

I'm the one who did the item art. So I'll be fixing the item image! Honestly I think a lot of the problem is that the colors aren't dark / varied enough between each other. If you can get the original artist to fix up the wearable version I can quite easily tweak the item image, you just need to mail me when it's ready! (Also, in the future if there is a denial on something you've gotten from me, please go ahead and contact me since I'm doing the changes! If I need the help, I can post here to ask for opinions. In the case of this though, I don't need outside help to tweak it C: I just need to see what the fixed wearable is first hehe) [edit] Also as a heads up, I'm not giving permission for anyone to access my PSD files, sorry!
Im the one that did the recoloring for the overlay part- Hamlet made and sent me the PSDs for the, and I just did whatever sort of coloring I had in mind.
But Ive never really been good at art, or choosing the right colors for things, so maybe thats what's going on with the overlay?

Altering the colors can help quite a bit. Here is an example; The top is the colors you're using, which are very close together. On a small scale, it can make them look even closer together! The bottom is a set of colors that have a bigger difference so that you can see the 'steps' between the colors better. (This isn't the palette you have to use, just something I did quickly to show you what I meant!) The wearable shading may need to be tweaked a little bit because part of the denial is for 'not enough area shaded' and that's because of areas where there is a large chunk where there is only one color. The item image will need to have the shading tweaked too, but my original intent was to have it look as similar to the wearable as possible. If you cannot do the alterations to the wearable yourself, I would suggest contacting the original artist to have them do that for you, or seeing if they're okay with having another artist take a look at it and do the edits for you (which you may need to pay for).
THats sorta along the lines of what I was thinking- I mean, find a website that lists green color palette's, and find one that closely matches what I tried already?).
And I dont mind paying for edits no matter who does it- even though Hamlet didn't want any payment in exchange for the original PSDs, I want to toss something their way eventually.
Just sent them a message, now to wait patiently for a reply from them. Until then- I have other stuff to do (mainly Subeta and the Clicker Heroes game...XD)

What I usually do when I'm having trouble on something like this in my case, is I find recently added items that are in the color I want! So for example; This was added in October and it's a lovely shade of green. So I might take the ink dropper for all the different shades and use those on an item to get not only a nicer color scheme, but something that matches items onsite perfectly in color ;)
