Oh wow, this made me very sad.. Since I was a baby I've spent all my vacations in Abruzzo National Park and the symbol of the park is the Marsican Brown Bear, a very endangered species with only 50 individuals left. I was raised to consider this bear almost sacred. The first thing you learn, the first thing you're told as a tourist is that bears do NOT attack people unless you force them too, they're not dangerous unless humans start messing up their habitat or basically act like idiots. I love the park cause it's one of the few places where you have to adapt yourself to the animals , not the other way around. And it works greatly, no one has ever been attacked by a bear, though some of them may occasionally raid the campings hoping to find some food, lol. Humans really need to stop acting like they own the fucking planet, sigh. Thank you for bring this to our attention, and thank you for redirecting me here hugs

Oh my gosh, I am so touched to see all of these posts. Thank you all sooo much.

No one else can speak for the animals. It really warms my heart to hear from people with like minds after heading so much hate. If nothing else, it really lifts our spirits!

I am going to look into volunteering this summer at the, 'Wild At Heart' animal sanctuary where I live just so I can give back!
