I'm in the process of editing mine as there are too many expensive items in it.

I was thinking maybe we could as for those that don't spend as much time on here we have 5 'cheap' items and 5 'expensive' items so people will get at least 5 of their items... Maybe the cheap items could be less that the 200K we originally agreed to.

I have been saving loads as I am planning on spoiling people this year so I don't need this idea for myself but I was thinking for others. Maybe no one needs it as they've all saved up enough but I figured it was worth bringing up just in case!

A fair point. I raised it originally as everyone kept saying it was too low but that doesn't mean it's the same situation this year.

Would anyone like a list of 'cheap' items set at 200k as well as pricier ones? Is the price set too high?

It does seem as though a lot of us haven't been on as much this year with R/L stuff going on so I figured it was better to suggest it, so no one feels like they HAVE to be on here, when there is so much other stuff that needs their attention!

A mix would be good. The price is good I think! But a few cheaper and a few nicer is good. :)

This year has been full of change and things to deal with. I hope things will be a little more peaceful at least for a bit. But I think most if not all are ready. If not they just need to tell me. I'm sure we can come up with a way to help everyone enjoy the Secret Santa.

I am clearing out my wardrobe and trying to use the profits to buy the SubQ items for those achievements.

If there is anyone struggling with items for their secret santa, and they want a SubQ item feel free to ask me and if I have it, and won't use it you may have it for them :D

That was one of the requests on the guidelines. How about this: Once the names are out, check the wishlists and if it's too much let me know and we can adjust. Would that work?

Not at all. It's more to help those gifting with things they know their Secret Santa won't have bought and to give them a range of prices. I made it 20 items so there's still that sense of surprise. Like when you give friends and family a wish list. You have more than one or two items on it but you know you'll get just one or two items. So which ones will they be? You can get other things not on the list but at least a couple should come from there.

I suppose dropping off the radar can't be helped unless they find a way to let us move in here permanetly. It still rankles a bit, though, because I didn't want to drop off the radar (but then again, who does?)

hugs I can definitely sympathise with your feelings about the election. What's with this year and people making strange decisions? Makes me worry about our elections next year...

I may not have been around to express it but I'm all giddy with excitement. This'll definitely be something to look forward to. :) I haven't gotten around to working on my list yet but I've set aside some time for that during the weekend.

I'll agree with whatever price limits you guys decide on. Like BeautifulChaos, I too have ample funds to spend so I really can deal with whatever works best for everyone else. 'Sides, picking out the gifts is the most fun and that's not related to price tag at all. :)

I think that's reasonable. I know prices shift, and i feel like you did a good job of covering things in the rules! :) I figure even if we do saggi for two days, we'll get a couple mil and can buy one of the 2 mil items. I personally have set aside enough to spend a few mil on my secret person so I don't feel worried about it. But of course, if everything cost millions that could be an issue.

I tried to put things that could be bought with sP or holiday currency on mine, to make it easier. :)
