I agree completely. Especially if you click on the event for a forum ping because it takes you directly to the post, and if the post is further down the page, then you can so easily miss the RE!

I'm cool with them. I saw the new starters and cover legendaries today. Thinking of going with Sun and grass type :) I thought maybe this gen would have non fire/water/grass starters just for something interesting

At least it's a grass/flying type? Better than the usual fire/fighting. I really wish they would play around with some of the other types, especially since they've added a number of new ones since the first game. The trailer looks pretty cool though. It's a lot more dimensional, which is neat. I'm looking forward to seeing more about it.

I'm not really wowed by the starters or legendaries lol. I am very wowed by the region itself though. I'll probably go for the fire starter though :D

I pretty much always go for fire hehe. As much fun as the game is, I don't get too crazy about it, and the fire starter normally keeps the beginning part a little easier :)

I was hoping for like ghost/dark/psychic starters or something, just something completely different. no grass/water/fire involved at all. can't wait to see the evolutions though

It depends on which one I like the best xD in ORAS I got a mudkip, in XY I got fennekin and in BW I got a snivy. I honestly didn't know that the 3 types translated into easy, medium and hard for the longest time.

A lot of people love the owl. :3 It's cute but I'm a cat person so I'll probably go for that one and maybe name it after one of my cats. Everything depends on what the evolutions look like, and then which game-specific pokemon I like more will help me decide which version to get. I like moon's legendary though I'm not sure what exactly it's supposed to be. A bat?

I really like cats but I don't see anything too special about that one yet. it looked like a flying manta ray to me. maybe it's supposed to be like a moon thing. I Like the sun one, it's a very nice looking lion.

I'm not sure if that translates throughout the rest of the game, but I'm no expert haha. After a certain point, you can find a decent fire pokemon, so once that's leveled up appropriately, you're pretty much on a level playing field. The fire one is easier going through the first bit to get to the first gym, but I think fire is normally weak to the first one.

the owl is SO cute. Dark/Fairy/something else. Or combos. I'm really looking forward to seeing more about the game before deciding which I want to buy lol. I skipped Black/White 2 because I needed a break from the series since finally getting the chance to play it on the DS (my mom had a HARD no game system policy until I was old enough to buy it myself with birthday/Christmas money). I have my DS somewhere, and it has backwards compatibility, but I don't even need that anymore since Nintendo has released the original games through the 3DS/WiiU store. I have the digital version of AS which I just beat. I need to go back and finish up X I think. I haven't touched that one in a while so I don't remember where I am there

I have b/w 2 somewhere, last time I looked for it I couldn't find it which bothers me. I'll probably get sun unless something else comes along that pulls me the other way.

I'll basically wait and see what the version-specific pokemon are and then go from there. I've got a 32gb sd card in there now, so I'm good to explore some titles between now and November haha. I just need to remember to back up the files somewhat regularly to my laptop (and then my external hard drive from there), just in case!

I like the way the moon legendary looks, I saw the footage of it how it compacts into a perfect circle shape and it's very appealing to me. I hope the version exclusive pokemon that I'll like the most is in moon xD Lion is pretty badass

I don't know if I've ever noticed a difference at first myself xD And I have White 2 but I didn't really play it... Don't know what it was about, just disappointing to have the same pokemon over again.

Yeah I think that's why I didn't buy it. I had diamond then bought platinum and learned my lesson about starters. It's basically the same game, just retooled ever so slightly. Not really worth it for me. I'm just pissed that the company behind my favorite series, Rune Factory, is no longer a thing but the publishers keep hinting at SOMETHING maybe happening. RF4 was SO good.
