I always need a goal to work towards to keep me busy. My main goal was to get him into the top 100 before the year was over :D I will keep training him, but I wont be buying all those tomes. They are too expensive. Plus I need to save for Christmas presents!

That is why I try to adopt pets that are already what I want. There are so many lovely types, that I would get annoyed if I planned for one species/colour/name match and got it zapped wrong (but with a pet type I still wanted)!

color is never the problem. i can't get over a bad name :3 also I have two pets I want to exchange actually because I didn't put enough thought into their names as well...

Yeah, a good name (good to me, doesn't have to be good to anyone else!) is great for a pet. Coming from neopets, where insane number-string-named pets were the normal, I love that we can get decent pet names.

I can always think of better things to spend funds on rather than pet renaming!

I remember all the terrible names on Neo. That is one of the things I really love about this site...we can get great names! I would never be able to have all of my SW pets on Neo.

Having a site where you CAN set obtainable achievements is lovely too.

Yeah, the names are great, and you can use real-life words and not run the risk of being frozen! Adopting is easy and risk free too. All round better. :)

I must be honest, I think on my first month on here, I had more sp than I had in years of being on Neo. I love the quests on here (occasional silly priced rewards notwithstanding!) and the fact that I don't have to be good at games to get by.

And can't fault the community on here. ❤

i quit neo because paintbrushes got too expensive, everyone wanted the same colors. no one bought items from usershops. The haggling changed — for some reason the shopkeeper started hustling up the price after you are within 10np of the price range (which they never fixed). They had "quests" and "dailies/freebies" but they didn't do item rotations leaving a bunch of items useless/ nonprofitable. The pets got ugly when wearable$ became a thing. Dressing them felt like being a Californian pimping pageant-children ...or handbag chihuahuas.

I have ideas for EnRoute atm but nothing for OnEdge and would like to do a pet trade. (Is that allowed on this site? I don't want any money or items out of it.)

I think Neo became a chore to play. It was hard to quest, hard to shop, hard to earn if you weren't good at gaming. Such a shame, as I met some lovely folk there, but some were frozen and chatting became impossible. No real life topics, word filters.. eek.

If you just want a pet to have a new home, easiest thing is to adopt it out - either post on HERE (adoption section) with the pet's details and you can either give to 1st interested, or ask people for their ideas for the pet and pick the best to send them to.
I have got a few of my pets when someone transferred them over to me, you just need to add each other as friends.

Or you can send the pet to the adoption center. Never done that myself, though!

I don't know what happened there, one day neo said my account was disabled and I took it as a sign to quit before throwing money into it. The boards were dedicated to greed.

The boards really were unchattable (is that a thing?!) when people were getting warnings for talking about 'real life'. Funnily enough, it is a topic most of us talk about!
