I love going to see fireworks! It is just really hard to go because it bothers my daughter's ears so much.

I can relate. Not much the volume for fireworks events I see them far away. I can't do parade or concert volume anymore. 2014 my ears started hurting because of air pressure during hard rains, it's sinus related. Makes me feel old.

A reborn Mahar would be cool, but I'm wondering if they even have an artist assigned to that pet right now. It's really lacking in the special colors, there are pretty much only the basic ones. :/

Which is why it needs some love. And it's a dragon, it should be on fire. :D I got my Mahar years ago planning on making him Reborn but then it never happened.

Yeah, I'm actually changing my pet into a Steamwork Mahar now because I like dragons also and it still fits with the kind of theme that I have for him, I just put in the order earlier today.

I do hope they can get more colors for the species soon though, it's a pretty one. And it being a dragon would be pretty perfect for Fireside.

That's what I thought last year, so that's when I posted about having a Reborn Mahar. Was very disappointed when Fireside ended and there was no Mahar Reborn.

At least the reborn Rreign looks pretty great. Not the same species, but still a cool looking fire dragon.

Ouch that is not good :( My daughter is autistic and the loud noises really scare her. Last year was the first time we saw fireworks in a few years.

as for the Mahar, preferably a pose that isn't hunched/ shows off more of their gems. They'd be more popular if it weren't for the usual 3-5 potions sitting in the Apothecary.

Trying to do some interview prep tonight for my interview tomorrow downtown. Not ideal to be going downtown on Election Day, but it is what it is! Hopefully the traffic isn't too bad in the middle of the day. I've got a couple other positions that I've applied to that may turn into interviews, so fingers crossed something pans out! I'm being laid off next Tuesday. Nice to have the heads up, annoying to be in this position significantly earlier than expected since my current job was supposed to last until June... Tis the nature of grant funding, I suppose. If it's not there, then you're all screwed lol

If there isn't a Reborn Mahar by end of Fireside this year, I will make Malthazar a Reborn Endeavor. It looks kinda dragon like.

I sent a ticket and replied to their latest response so far. My priorities are so out of whack, I don't like being forced to settle for the participation prize when there are stick figures, handcopies, and stock photos competing. Lol

The Mahar probably could use a bit of an update, in addition to more colors. I think part of the problem is they just have too many pet species and colors with not enough artists to really keep up with them all.

Some of the entries weren't even a house or shack, 1 was just a green empty field, another was a photo of a flower, a couple were just pictures of oatmeal cereal boxes. Not even sure why those were allowed at all.

Totally fair. They can't expect you to read through ALL the news comments for clarification on what is and is not allowed in your entry. Something's definitely a little off with their priorities lol

Yeah sometimes I don't understand their thought process. Not including the actual rules on the submission page? How does that make sense?

I posted something about it on the feedback thread, and it's been mentioned elsewhere as well. So hopefully for the next contest they can be a bit more clear.

News comments are a good place to ask questions related to the post, but if the info is important enough it should be added to the actual post for clarification.

I got the gist of what they wanted but they're making it sound like I stole someone's work.

yea basically told them I built the land and structure, landscaping, so they came at me with "is the tree yours?" Ridiculous.

I wasn't the only game entry either, no idea if they caught the ones that didn't mention game content. The rules stated 3d models are allowed. Now they're rejecting my work due to a lack of understanding of how 3d models work.

just going to reveal I did the gif Legos entry and they haven't sent a notice about it. Knock on wood.
