Hey guys, my artists (the talented ) has made my harness I was fretting about, and its pretty much ready for release/submission, but can you guys kindly help walk me through the steps to make sure I am doing the right things in the right order? I do not want to do things wrong and loo dishonest/scammy.

This is how I think it works:

1.post a thread with the item to get people to commit to buying the item, with the slot rules being respected 2. when i am done getting interest, i THEN submit the item to subeta for review/acceptance(and i order the required number of slots) 3. this is when people get 'charged' for the item, so everyone collectively pays for the item together 4. once everhyone pays for their slots, the item is released to the buyers

do i have that right? please correct the SHIT out of me if I am wrong!

1. make sure you "advertise" in the correct thread. that would be the "Custom Wear" thread.

(show a picture of the harness, etc) your artist should probably have sent you an "example"

You MAY be asked to "pay" when you submit for approval. so you might want to have a list of peeps ready.

awesome thank you! surprisingly, there is no sticky anywhere that really breaks down how that process works with slotting people (there is just slot ettiquette so you dont lie about slots), everything makes it look like you front 5k csc on your own! (or even more if you do more batches!)

how often do people leave things up/what is the typical slot number standard? i dont know if you can just leave your thread up forever hoping you get X amount filled or if you have to set a time limit.

yep. look at some of the threads that sellers have on that CW forum

and i would start out with 10

(2 batches of 5)

1. you 2. pika 3. XXX 4. XXX 5. XXX

1.xx2.xx3.xx4.xx5.xx

then when a person asks for a slot, you put the name there, ping the people asking them to check the 1st post (or wherever you have it posted) to make sure the slots are correct.

some people may leave comments about the harness. (hey cool harness, etc) be careful. because they may not be asking for a slot.

mmmm, what else do i vaguely remember? heh. that's about it.

I'd just start a thread, (PLEASE put in the title, what you're selling)

ie= Black Harness....

O Ring Harness for chest....

something like that maybe?

(because ou want to leave room for other colors...red would be awesome. cobalt blue)

then in the first post...maybe say something about you being new to the cw selling, and thank the artist (pika) you're up for recolors if this one sells well....

things like that.

as I am looking more at pricing and slotting, I am finding something I am not sure I understand... it seems that the submission price for a top is 4000csc, but people seem to be selling tops for 600csc (which only adds up to 3000csc....) are they taking a hit of 1k csc for the item or am i screwing up my pricing?

hugs I adore your wig and your HA looks so spiffy! I would just make sure to have a ping group, and rules for payment/slotting etc. Those are the two biggest ones. The rules serve as a buffer in case something ever comes up, but it usually never does.

have you ever sold a shirt before? it looks on the forum that people sell shirts for 600/700csc, but that does not add up to the submission price of 4k... are all these makers eating that difference in price? i thought that you have to pay that 4k csc per batch of an item

Shirts and tanktops only cost 2,000 CSC for all 5 slots in total. I'm not sure where your 4k price is coming from.

slot 1 - your slot = 0 CSC slot 2 - random use = 500 CSC slot 3 - random use = 500 CSC slot 4 - random use = 500 CSC slot 5 - random use = 500 CSC This price of 500 CSC for a shirt will mean you have no profit. This is why most people slot shirts at 600 CSC.

Corsets are usually 700 CSC because they cost more to put on site, due to covering more of the HA. Pricing varies by item/user, you will know it is overpriced if hardly anyone slots on it.

good Luck with your first cw, your very brave, I hope its a success. I will look out for it as well. For rules, i would look at all the other posts on the custom wearable forum as see what other people put, such as only claiming for yourself and paying within a set time.
