Millie's face brightened up and she started to blush when Fade () handed her the rose. "Thank you so much!" She waited for Fade to come back with the drinks. When he brought back a tray, she took one and started drinking. "Thank you for the drink". She didn't realize how thirsty she was but she made sure she didn't chug it.
"It really is. I didn't realize how thirsty I was".
The band returned to play again, and the hustle and bustle of the ball forced them to play just a little bit louder. The groans that could be heard coming from the forest earlier in the evening seemed to be drowned out by the music. The sun started to make its descent, and though it would be some time before the grounds would be dark, the setting around them started to glow to compensate. The tent's enchantments made it so that its windows gave off light, and the pumpkin carriages started to glow as well. Miss Kain stepped out of the tent for a moment to wave her wand. The lanterns started to glow a bit brighter, and little fireworks began to erupt from their tops. The lights from the fireworks dissipated a bit, but some of the lights joined the lanterns in hovering over the scene. They shimmered and glittered like little fairies.

"You know, we don't nearly have enough wizarding fairytale representation here! There are a few items from the Tales of Beedle the Bard, but there are so many other stories that could have been used," Professor Morgan said rather loudly.
"Then maybe you should tell us about some of them, Deidra," Caswell retorted.
"Maybe I will!" she replied.

Wisteria anxiously slipped into the crowded ballroom, after being coaxed by an older Slytherin to come. She wasnt very good at talking, but she did love the theme. She walked about looking at the decorations and then made her way to the balcony

Sauvage wandered out to the balcony to get some fresh air (and to secretly do some freshening up of herself) after all that dancing. She stopped, noticing a very cute girl who she hadn't seen before looking over the edge of the balcony. Generally, people came out to the balcony to be alone - or to meet someone in a romantic setting. Sauvage didn't really want to interrupt anything and wavered awkwardly in the doorway with one foot outside, trying to decide whether or not she should sneak away before being noticed.
Wisteria glanced up, hearing someone open the door, she gave a shy smile. She tried to be welcoming, she didnt want anyone to think she was hogging the balcony or anything...she had never been very good in social situations.

It was too late now - Sauvage had been caught. She thought she noticed the girl smile and decided to walk out onto the balcony and join her. "Hello," she said. "I hope I'm not bothering you. I was dancing and it got a bit hot and..." Sauvage shook and changed topic. "My name is Sauvage. I'm a third year in Hufflepuff. You?"
A little bit of anxiety crossed her face as the girl talked to her. She took a breath and then smiled. "Hello, I'm Wisteria. I'm a first year Slytherin. Its ok to come out...really. I got caught studying...more hiding in my common room. Older housemate urged me to come down. Are you having fun? You look lovely..."

Sauvage smiled politely at Wisteria - a lovely name; she could tell she was a bit nervous. "I must thank your housemate, otherwise I would never have met you. And thank you for the compliment. I've grown to adore this dress, but I've found it's a bit difficult to dance in - especially with the wings. You look amazing, though! Your dress is absolutely magical. And I love your hair." Sauvage tried to keep her tone and demeanor calm; the last thing she wanted to do was scare away someone so adorable and so shy. "Anyway," she continued. "if you'd prefer, I'm happy to just stand here in silence for a bit. Part of me wanted to get a glimpse at the stars while I was out here." Sauvage looked up, and even though night was only a shadow far from being fully cast across the sky, she couldn't help but sigh in appreciation.
Itachi was not sure if he really wanted to go to this ball, since he didn't go last year. But, maybe this year would be different as he was very active in his classes and hoped people noticed his attempt to earn House points.
Walking into the Ball Room he was taken back by all the faces and costumes all around him. There were new fairy tale characters and people that you would see in regular fairy tales. But, for Itachi it was a time to show off the more historic fairy tales. He came dress as an Angel from a fairy tale told to kids that were dying at a young age. The fairy tale was called "The Angel" by Hans Christian Andersen.
The first place he went was the drink area, getting water so if he spilled it by accident it wouldn't so on his outfit. Hoping the person that made him get the courage to come out to the ball this year by sending him a letter would greet so he had someone to talk to.
Megan witnessed Fade () giving the rose to Millie () and smiled to herself at such a thoughtful gesture. She barely heard Millie's words of working up an appetite over all the noise around her but she nodded to let Millie know she'd understood.
Decided she was a tad bit thirsty and hungry herself she turned to whisper to , "I'm going to get something to eat and drink. I'll be back soon!"
She made her way to the table where she found delightful foods of every kind. Picking up a plate she began to put grapes, carrots, brocolli, a beef roast in gravy with mushrooms and mashed potatoes on her plate. It was almost as if the table read her mind on what she wanted to eat and presented it. Picking up another goblet of butterbeer she headed back to the table to sit down and enjoy her meal.
(@ everyone else I may have missed. )

Wisteria was appreciative of her gentle demeanor. "Thank you for the compliments. I can imagine dancing with your wings to be hard. Luckily my tail is tucked close to my dress." smiles "I was worried it would get stepped on...or tore off. The stars are lovely tonight." looks up

Emmy looked down at the steaming pile of food Aderyn had brought her and began to drool.
"That looks SO good." she said appreciatively, thanking Aderyn before begin to stuff her mouth full of food. It was all delicious and she ate way too quickly. Once she'd finished her stomach was very full and she groaned slightly, patting it.
"That... was delicious." she said, laughing, to Aderyn.
( and anyone else... hard to keep up with this thread as I'm really busy atm!)

Sauvage wasn't sure how much time passed, only that the sky had gotten significantly darker, when she looked back at Wisteria. "Hey, do you, maybe, want to head back into the ball with me? It's starting to get a bit chilly out here." She rubbed her arms for effect. "Plus, there is some amazing food inside and I've yet to eat any of it. What do you say?" She nodded towards the doorway, through which the sound of laughter and music could be heard along with the inviting aroma of freshly baked pumpkin pasties. Her stomach growled in anticipation.
It seemed everyone was thirsty from all the dancing. Gaia had been teaching dance moves and dancing with her date for the better part of the night turning to her date () "Would you like to go get something to drink and relax for a few minutes?" She beamed. "I am going to get something to drink, want to come? We can keep dancing by our table!" Gaia added with a giggle.
Wisteria smiles at her. " Maybe a nibble, I don't think I will stay too long. I've been a bit ill, but I'm glad I came. I do adore the theme." She will walk in with Sauvage.

After her drink, Millie realize how hungry she was. She saw the group heading to the refreshments table and decided to follow so she could get something to eat and drink.
Wisteria smiles at Millie encouraging her to join. Then coughs into her hand. "Darn cold."

"Are you okay? My father is a healer. I know of just the spell to make that cough go away". Millie quickly took out her wand and grabbed a glass of hot butterbeer and said a few words then handed the cup to Wisteria. "See if that helps" Millie said with a smile
