( ) "Hi!" Gaia smiled at Suavage "How are you enjoying the ball?" Gaia was laughing enjoy the dancing skills of Adrien "Just be careful when Ethel () starts dancing. She needs a lot of room!" Gaia giggled before being twirled again.

"Oh, wait - Rapunzel! Is she the one who was trapped in a tower? And her prince had to use her hair as a rope to visit her? Very fun! Did you enchant your hair to grow it out like that?" After catching the name of her house, Sauvage lit up with excitement. "You're in Hufflepuff, too? Me too! I'm a third year, too." She really was getting a bit too excited; she had hopped a couple times when she said Hufflepuff. She tried to tone down her excitement a bit and asked, amazed, "How is it that we've only just met?"

"Ethele is the girl with the gorgeous blue hair, right? Yeah, I saw her earlier and complimented her dancing. So, you're all friends? There're so many of you!" Sauvage laughed, trying to imagine what it would be like to have so many people around.

" Ah, tu parle français? Bien, enchanté." Sauvage laughed, it was nice to speak her native language, even if it was just a few words. Just speaking the language made her a little less homesick. Suddenly, Sauvage felt heat rise to her cheeks at the mention of Fade and her brazen way of asking him to dance. She giggled nervously and said, "Yes, well, I truly appreciate this. I'm already having more fun! Merci encore."

"Yes, that's the story. I used a charm to grow and change my hair color. It's usually a medium brown, a little longer than my shoulder. It's so weird we have officially met. I mean, I've seen you around but I just started coming out my shell this term. Before I was so focused on getting the best grades, I wasn't really taking the time to enjoy everything Hogwarts has to offer.

Where are you from?" Millie asked. "I simply love Paris and Nice. I would love to live in Nice. And I love the French language. My mother has encouraged me to learn as many languages as possible. So I'm fluent in French and German."

"Yes, I speak French. Where are you from in France?" He asked with a smile. It wasn't often he found someone in Britain who used his native tongue. He chuckled as she reddened at his mention of Fade. "As long as you're having fun, that's what's important! No one should be alone tonight, for it's a night of fun and making friends."

He laughed as Gaia described Ethel's dancing. "I swear, she has the best dance moves. I'm going to ask her to teach me her running man combination thing she did earlier."

Sauvage smiled warmly at Millie, "I'm glad you finally came out of your shell. It's so nice to meet you. We should hang out in the common room together some time."

Since both Millie and Adrien seemed to be asking the same questions, Sauvage took a step back to encompass them both in the one conversation. "Je suis de Montpellier. My grandmother used to live in Lyon, though, and I visited her often there as well. I would almost consider it my first home, really. Et oui, Paris and Nice are beautiful cities in France. Tous deux sont très romantiques. One of my closest friends form Beauxbatons lives in Nice and we often end up spending the entire summer on the beaches there." She dazed off for a moment, thinking of the warm sun reflected off of glittering waters, and of all the colors that painted the streets. "Oh!" Sauvage snapped back to the present. "Et quel sur toi, Adrien? Are you French as well? Because if so, you have mastered your English. I could not tell at all!"

"I must say...dancing here is very different than the dances we had at Beauxbatons. It's so free...it almost makes me a little nervous. Do you guys always dance like this?"

Megan started to smile slowly as she started to move her hips the way Gaia instructed. Closing her eyes, she listened to the music and let it fill her body and mind until she felt the vibrations. She began to lose herself and was only brought back to earth by the sound of laughter and a question of butterbeer. She opened her eyes and grinned widely at the newcomers.

"Oh Paddy, I'm glad you joined us!" she said to the Gryffindor, she noticed Millie out of the corner of her eye and turned to her as Millie spoke. "When you finish eating, come dance with us, Millie!" she said, happy to see her friend came. She paused in her dancing as she saw Adrien and Fade come towards them and suggest going up closer to the band. She agreed it sounded lovely and they all started to make their way to the front. She was pleasantly surprised that Fade seemed to be coming a bit out of his shell, she noticed how shy he had been, and smiled when he and Millie began to dance.

When Gaia exclaimed how great the band was, Megan agreed and accidentally stumbled into one of the reaching vines which closed around her waist and lifted her into the air slightly, moving her back and forth. She wasn't entirely sure she enjoyed the sensation and managed to get her wand out of her pocket again. Tapping the vine she mutter "Relashio" and the vine released her at once by dropping her unceremoniously onto the ground and slithered back into its place. Megan quickly righted herself and brushed off her dress, noticing a thorn had ripped it slightly.

"I'm alright, I promise!" she assured everyone and went back to swaying to the music, but made sure to give the vines a wide berth from then on.

Sauvage watched as Megan whipped out her wand and forced the vines to release her, none to gently unfortunately. Megan claimed to be alright, although the tumble seemed to have damaged her dress. "That sucks," Sauvage said, nodding to the tear. "A standard Reparo spell should fix it up though. I'm impressed with how quick you were to draw your wand, too. Almost as impressed as I am with your dance moves!"

(+ everyone else! lol) Feeling high from the atmosphere of so many wonderful people, Sauvage threw her traditional dance lessons out the window and let her body respond to the music. Not to get weird about it, but the sensation was surprisingly sensual. In that, Sauvage was suddenly aware of every fiber of her being and could feel the rhythm of the music pounding in her veins. She hadn't had this much fun in a while. For the first time, Sauvage finally felt as though she could call Hogwarts home.

Megan smiled widely at Sauvage. "Oh thank you! I tend to be a fast thinker, I appreciate the tip," and taking her wand out again, pointed it to the dress muttering "Reparo" and watched the dress mend itself. Stashing her wand away once more, she straightened her dress and began moving to the music along with Sauvage, forgetting herself in the music.

Aderyn smiled at Emmy, nudging the girl playfully as she walked off to get them food, accompanied by Millie. She picked out the things Emmy had wanted and the things she, too, was in the mood for, and she headed back to the table with both plates in her hands, praying that she didn't trip over her dress.

"Montpellier is very nice, I've been there a few times." Adrien said with a smile. "I'm from Paris. It's pretty nice, but I love visiting the country, the alps, and especially the Riviera. My mother is the potions mistress at beauxbatons." Beauxbatons had been so beautiful, but he couldn't resist not coming to Hogwarts for some of his schooling after all of the stories he'd heard from his parents. He beamed at the compliment on his English. "Thank you! My mum and dad speak English, so I grew up learning it. I was born in France, but my parents were not; they're from Britain." He watched as everyone let loose and just enjoyed the music and friends around them and smiled. This is how the ball is supposed to be. He quickly scooped up his dance partner again.

(You guys are prolific! haha, I know this is going to sound a little disjointed, but bear with me)

“Sure thing!” Fade offered his less clammy hand to Millie, () and spun her out onto the floor. Thankfully this wasn’t the sort of music one would formally dance to. All too soon it would seem, the band announced that they would be taking a short break. Being as close to the stage as they were, it was easy for Fade to go over the list of miscellaneous items. Without too much trouble he was able to decipher what they were and what fairy story they were related to.

Turning to his gracious dance partner he grinned. “That was fun, thanks for the dance. I like your outfit by the way.” Secretly Tangled was one of his favorite Disney movies. He wondered if she had charmed the flowers to keep them as bright and in place as they remained. After all that dancing Fade was rather thirsty. “Would you like a refreshment? My lady?” He added the last part with a smirk. If he was going to dress the part what harm was there in acting it.

To her surprise she found herself enjoying it. Maybe it was the lack of dance skills of some of the other students, or the effect of the butterbeer she'd drunk but she felt a lot less self-conscious. Watching a few students get tangled up in the vines, she made a mental note to avoid the stage area - dancing in these boots would be fun, but not while trying to fend off a vine grabbing hold of her paws!

"I am too! I'm gaining so much more confidence in myself now. The house elves allow me to use to the kitchens to bake. Mostly because I always give them baked good and I clean up when I'm finished" Millie laughed. "If you like to bake, you're welcome to join me. Or we can just hang out in the common room."

"That is so nice. I love France. One of my dreams is to spend a while year in Nice. Oh and to tour Lavender farms. My mom is from Berlin, so we go there every year for the holidays. I've been thinking of asking to go to Nice during the summer break."

"I'm going to dance for a bit to work up an appetite, Megan ()" Millie said as she walked out onto the dance floor with Fade () with a big smile on her face. "You're welcome. I had a blast out there. And thank you. You look very handsome yourself." Millie pulled of her flowers from her hair and handed it to Fade. "It's enchanted, so it will last forever. And yes, I would like a drink. Whatever is fine. I'm not picky".

Sauvage felt pain in her cheeks and realized that she hadn't stopped smiling. She felt like a little kid, dorkishly grinning at the prospect of making new friends. Millie invited Sauvage to bake with her sometime and at that Sauvage replied, "I appreciate the offer, but the only things I'm good at cooking up are potions. But, maybe you could teach me a few things? I've always wanted to be able to bake or cook; it's just that my parents are already such chefs that I never really had the opportunity to try it out myself. Plus, with magic it's pretty easy to avoid cooking altogether."

Poppy joined the group closest to the stage and danced with them. She loved how the skirt looked when she twirled around in her gown. She smiled at Fade and Millie dancing together, Gaia teaching Megan () and , and Arborea announcing her cute challenge.

Fade’s eyes lit up when Millie () offered him one of her flowers. Carefully he tucked it into his breast pocket. “Wow, that’s so nice of you. Here.” Pulling his wand out of his pants pocket he glanced around quickly to make sure there weren’t any professors afoot. When the coast was deemed clear, Fade held up the rose he had been carrying around and muttered “Juh-min-ee-oh.” while pointing his wand at it. Quite suddenly the original rose rolled over in his palm to reveal a second identical bloom.

Holding up the duplicate Fade offered the rose to Millie. “A rose for a rose.” Or something like that. When she took it he bowed slightly. “Alright, be right back.” Turning swiftly he made way for a round of refreshments. Somehow he managed to talk one of the servers into letting him have the entire tray. When he returned to the edge of the group he held it up and announced to everyone. “Drinks are on me.” On second thought. “But please don’t spill any of ‘em on me.” He grinned foolishly and his cheeks reddened.

"Sure, I'd love to. My mom owns her own bakery in London, which is how I learn to bake. Just let me know when you would like to learn."

Millie saw Poppy join the group and she waved.

Sauvage skipped up to Fade, grabbing a glass she thanked him and winked. "A few more of these and I think I'll be ready for our dance."

"Thank you Fade. This is thoughtful of you," said Poppy as she accepted a drink gratefully.

"This is really refreshing," she said to Millie as she nodded at her cup.
