Ohhh someone who knows about our horses!! It's actually not as commonly known that that's what we do here, I've learned, so I'm happy to finally meet someone who does know AND wants to visit because of it! I've been to Alabama, I went to the US Space & Rocket Center for a trip once upon a time. :D The weather was so muggy and hot, but I had a great time anyway!

seriously?? I can't imagine anyone not knowing Kentucky is for horses!! Then again I've been a horse lover all my life :) But come on...Kentucky Derby?? Do people live under rocks? And heck yeah I want to visit! Haha...oh yes that's Alabama alright...hot and muggy the vast majority of the time. Thankfully I live on somewhat of a hill and get a breeze a good bit :)

See, that's the thing! Only horse lovers know that Kentucky is famous for our horses. XD It makes sense that way though, I suppose. I love our horses. <3 I enjoy horseback riding and touring famous stables around here. I got to meet Smarty Jones and Big Brown years ago, just missing Barbaro. :( RIP.

I've actually never had KFC in my life :'D I really want to at least try the chicken though.

oh lawdy, get the popcorn chicken when you go. XD It's honestly the best thing on the menu, their bone-in chicken isn't very good to me. Too greasy or salty depending on their region

lucky!! That would be so awesome. The only semi close thing I've gotten to experience is meeting one of the children of Seattle Slew who was in a stable in north Alabama while I was in college. Somewhere in all my scrapbooks I have pictures and a poster they gave us :) My mom would never let me have a horse but I had two cousins who owned horses so I rode with them. Of course the older cousin had a rule that I had to help muck out if I rode. Didn't bother me lol.

<3 I love hearing those things! Horse people really resonate with me, even though I can't really consider myself one. Here, "horse person" definitely means you own one, and my family never has. Almost, last year, but it didn't come through. & wow, Seattle Slew's foal! That would've been so cool. I wonder where American Pharaoh is stabled... I'd love to meet a Triple Crown winner. 3 edit: just googled it...he has the stud life about 30 minutes way from me! I wonder if they show him? I'd buy a ticket <3

you and i are in the same boat apparently...love them but never had our own...yet :) And good question about American Pharaoh. I'd love to have the means to travel and see more horses...and places in general for that matter lol.
