This may be a dumb question, but where do I go to open the gifts under my tree??
Awesome news. This is one of those moments where taking the time to do things the long and right way definitely paid off. Yeah, it's a longer fix time, but it means the whole thing is going to be fixed to its pre-error state in entirety, which I'm sure everyone's willing to wait for.

They aren't accessible yet. Once they are, there'll be a news post with all the information you'll need, including links. I do believe this is where we'll need to go once the gifts are available.
I'm shocked at the number of people who don't care who gave them gifts. Really? Glad I didn't put any presents under your tree! I'm so glad I will be able to thank everyone for th lovely gifts when I get to open them.

I have to agree with the 4 quotes on the previous page, and how I saw the dates to be very misleading. Mistakes happen everyday, were all human. I do truly understand that anything is possible where problems can occur. However, Christmas of 2015 has come and passed by, and for me the feeling and excitement just isn't there anymore. This is a new year ~ ^.^ ~

Some of you guys are pretty funny. The trees shouldn't have been delayed, we can agree on that. It sucked but it happened now to deal with it.
But you can not start a thread "fix the ENTIRE problem" and rant on and on and on about how you'll never know who gave the gifts etc.
Then they say it's fixable but will take a few days, then complain about that. I mean come on dude lol
But then what are we supposed to complain about? :c
That IS good news, and I also don't mind it being pushed back as this was important to a lot of people. Nice!

basically this ^ I can't help but feel that most of the people who weren't bothered about giving/getting anon gifts were the ones who were largely unaffected by it. I'm glad this has been sorted out. I'd rather wait a few more days than never know if my giftees got/enjoyed their gifts.
25th of December: "We will be updating you as soon as possible (this could mean it might take a few days) with the link to the Trees so you can open your gifts properly" (newspost)</p>
<p>28th of December: "We’re hoping to get them out very soon. Unfortunately that might mean tomorrow, I’m not 100% sure." (staff comment in a newspost)</p>
<p>1st of Jan: "Trees are still safe, we’ll be opening those sometime this week" (newspost - made on a Friday, so implying in the next two days)</p>
<p>1st of Jan: "I meant it as more of an "in the next 7 days" sort of thing." (comment on the newspost)</p>
<p>2nd of Jan: "at this point I expect them to be ready by Monday or Tuesday." (announcment)</p>
<p>4th of Jan: "This does mean pushing the trees release back a day or two, which means the trees will be out on Friday at the absolute latest." (Announcement)
While I'm very glad it's getting properly fixed, this drip feeding of logging on and finding it's been pushed back has made the wait seem much, much longer than it actually is. Nothing you can do about it at this point, and I know staff were giving those dates in good faith, but I feel like I've needlessly wasted my time checking in frequently to see if there's been an update.
agree with this, mistakes are mistakes but it would have been better to say it will be fixed sometime within the next month or even that yu don't know how long it'll take than to constantly build up expectations like this. very frustrating, really causes me to doubt that things will be ready by friday. crossing my fingers that they will.
