I've spent the last 3 days of Morostide toting for the and I didn't see hide nor hair of it

Surely if I'm toting from people in that range I'd have gotten at least 1. Guess I'll just have to wait til next year and hope we get a massive flood of them to where they're worthless. Then again, it's part of an achievement so it probably won't get too cheap.

So things are not weighted? Then I have the worst luck ever. I had been ToTing at one profile since 2:30pm today. Now I did stop for about an hour as I had to walk the dog and may have missed a few times when I left the computer for a few minutes. Not once did I ever get that cracked face tattoo. I got loads of last years things though. Like 8 of the vanilla donuts alone. The only new item I ended up getting a lot of was the bigfoot plushie.

Last year I remember I did end up getting the "must haves" after ToTing after a day at the most at the same profile. If I missed anything they weren't at like 10mil or more in shops.

Not weighted ? Bullshit. There's still items I haven't gotten, and believe you me, I have spent days trying at various users profiles, only to have probably near fifty+ of some items.... and NONE of a few. I still haven't even gotten that stupid black licorice hard candy from LAST YEAR but I have more candy centipedes and black sharks than I know what to do with. Absolutely absurd and borderline pure evil.

I spent the last few days TOTing for the [item=Icy Runes Tattoo Sheets (Face)], saw a million of the same items and never got it. How is that possible if there's no weighting?

The orange candy, the fire runes tatoos and the cherry crocodiles are all common items. You should have like a billion of each.

I don't find it hard to believe that the items aren't intentionally weighted by staff, tbh. Random generators are never really that random- the technology behind them is imperfect. I'm sure a lot of you have noticed that when you shuffle your music, the same songs seem to come up WAY more frequently than others.

There will probably always be less of certain items than others from events like these. : / It's just one of those things.

Yeah, I also don't believe the items aren't weighted. I'd buy that maybe I have rotten luck, but if that's the case then everybody else mysteriously also has rotten luck getting those exact same items, because they're the expensive ones in the shop search...

I don't have time to read the entire thread, but it would be really nice to have the newer items given out more than the older items. I swear I have extras of almost every single item from last year, but this year, I'm still missing at least a third of the new items :( That made it not so enjoyable :(

I'm glad you posted this! I was tired of getting the same items all the time so at some point I just gave up on ToT.

Maybe to divide it buy account age? 0-1 years 2-3 years and so on?

This item is 10m in user shops and you're going to try and tell me the distribution isn't weighted? (Granted, this is a popular one and also a food but seriously, the next most expensive item I still needed at the end, that I didn't have at least one copy of already was 1.1m)

Glad to hear the grouping is going to be different next year though. I managed to find at least one friend in each category but it didn't really help when there were 3-4 items in each section I just couldn't get my hands on, and I spent the last day refreshing the wrong person trying to get that 1.1m item because I forgot about the sugar wax lips :L

I know I had enough mega-multiples of old food items (Sugar feathers I'm looking at you!) that I was able to frag them for enough crystals to get the baby fang! but I never got a even though it's an old item that I'm supposed to give out myself.
I know randomizers don't provide an even distribution, but given the price the silly thing is going for..., it must have been rare for everyone two years in a row!

If they items were not weighted then someone needs to check into the distribution of them. For 's survey the results are as follows: x11 vs x1 x6 vs x0 [item=Fiery Runes Tattoo Sheets (Face)] x10 vs [item=Icy Runes Tattoo Sheets (Face)] x1 My results look like a min of a 10 to 1 ratio. I refreshed pretty much nonstop on the last day, finally got one . I got 8-9 of the on the last day alone, and I'm pretty sure I got some before too.

Yeah, looking at some of those after morostide prices, the distribution was definitely not as even/flat as Subeta wanted. At one point yesterday, the Orange Demontail only had one for sale at 15mil. Yes, after weeks of TOT, only ONE for sale at 15MIL. That's a pretty big sign that things are off. And I never managed to get one. I managed to get at least one of most of the items I really wanted, but still... the number of duplicates for certain items is annoying.
