That's true about laptops! I'm surprised this PC has only had the hard drives issue. I used to go through a PC every 2-4 years but this PC was top of the line Dell when hubby bought it for me so maybe that's why it's still working. I'm surprised with all of our pets and the pet fur too! :-P

laptops don't last as long because they get moved and the internal stuff gets knocked around. that's why pcs last so much longer :p

That's so true! However, the laptop we have now has lasted about 10 years! :-P I rarely move it around! It just stays on a table in my art studio. Plus, I have a cooling fan under it and I think that has helped a lot too.

yeah that will help a lot if it doesn't get moved a lot :p

on xmas we usually spend the morning at my parents' house and then go to my gf's parents' house. over new years we're going to two bowl games and a hockey game

Haha, I can definitely relate to that! Exam anxiety is brutal.

[.Nena] that's why I bring a Zangoose with false swipe with me. a good way to do it is bring a pokemon with I think sweet scent? the thing that makes it so you encounter a hoard battle. then have an attack that targets them all for when a shiny doesn't show up. also have an attack that kills individually so if you do encounter a shiny in the hoard, you can kill all of them except the shiny.

do they live close? maybe you should talk to him about it sometime!

About 2 years ago my SIL asked me to do a few auctions (her business) with her and we got along really great and I even went so far to admit and apologize to my past transgressions. Never got the same back, but I didn't do it to get any apology, I did it for my own growth. So then she said we should start coming to their house on Christmas eve...so that's where it's at. I'm a talk it out person, but amazingly enough there isn't anyone in my life that can talk about anything!!! GAH!!! :-P

Edit to add: They live about 50 minutes away.

maybe you should try to invite them over this year or next year? maybe an early xmas with them?

Yes, I should make more of an effort! They're such a large group it would be easier for us to go there and I suppose if I really felt ambitious I would just invite myself! LOL!!

well you can always invite them and if they decide it'd be easier, they'd invite you :p it's a better way to do it than to invite yourself imo.

they live in Chicago and Pittsburgh. the one that lives in Pittsburgh just moved there from Texas
